Perantzada Hotel 1811

This is a fabulous hotel overlooking Vathy Bay in Ithaca. We stayed in the Rose Room which is at the top of the hotel with a a spacious terrace and great views over the bay. It is on two levels with the sleeping area on the top level and the bathroom down stairs. The hosts Antonio and Katerina are superb and very accommodating and made the stay even more special. The breakfast choice is wide ranging and there is also a lunch menu available The pool area has a number of sun beds with parasols and again a fantastic view across the bay. The whole establishment is kept spotlessly clean. All in all a fantastic stay and one we will revisit. One word of caution. The hotel is accessed by many steps so maybe challenging to guests who are less mobile. The town of Vathy is easily accessible from the hotel around the harbour, about a 5 to 7 minute walk where you will find numerous restaurants serving Greek food. All the menus are a bit samey and you would need to travel a little further to find some variety in a menu. One such place would be the restaurant on Filatro beach, Kirki, which is a 10 minute taxi ride away. The menu is quite extensive and the food is very good but a little more expensive than the restaurants in Vathy

Lovely boutique hotel overlooking the town and bay at Vathy. Although our room was quite compact it was well equipped and delightfully decorated in the same quirky style as the rest of the property. The coco-mat bed, and bedding, was supremely comfortable and the Korres toiletries delightful. The complimentary bottle of wine in the room was a nice touch. Our balcony was huge with outstanding views across the bay and comfortable chairs and a table. All the staff here were friendly, helpful and keen to ensure the best possible stay. The hotel has a small, but lovely, infinity pool with comfortable sun loungers and towels provided. The breakfast here is outstanding. The selection sounds simple- scrambled eggs and sausages ( plus fried eggs and omelets to order) fresh fruit ( apricots, strawberries, bananas, cherries, kiwi fruits and more), a great selection of fresh bread, outstanding Greek yogurt and honey as well as cereals, nuts, seeds, granola, dried fruits etc. Good coffee and fresh orange juice. The absolute highlight of the spread for us were the homemade Greek pastries and cakes. Even the filo pastry was made in house and the pies were the best I’ve ever had- and I’ve sampled a few! Amazing! If you’re looking for a corporate chain hotel with all the usual facilities this probably isn’t the place for you. If you enjoy high quality small and friendly hospitality with an excellent location, a superb breakfast and unique arty decor then Perantzada Hotel 1811 in the place to stay.

What a wonderful discovery. A well maintained property with excellent and caring staff who could not do enough to make our stay more comfortable. Tastefully decorated with a magnificent view over the Bay. Centrally located with plenty of eating options within a short walk. The included breakfast was generous. A special thanks to Katerina and Antonio. Two staff, in particular, to treasure! King Odysseus would be proud!

This is very lovely beautiful place to stay. Incredible view with very comfortable room. Small details taken with big love and appreciated love to art. The book with pictures of building restoration tells a lot about an owner, who cherish their place. Katherine made us feel home and shared a lot of interesting stories. Breakfast at the morning was amazing. I would be definitively back as it become my favorite small hotel.

Perantzada hotel is a lovely boutique hotel located in Vathy, with unique and luxury rooms. We stayed for four days July 23 and we had the best and the most amazing time. The staff was friendly and always be there for us. Surely, we will come back again!

One of my best stays in Greece!!! Super friendly staff, very attentive, friendly, open, kind, and always looking for ways to make our stay comfortable and even better. Katarina, I can only say that if you’re still working there next time we visit Vathy, then we are surely knocking on your door again!!! Antonios was AMAZING! Greeted us warmly at arrival and showed us around. We had difficulty with our rental car and he helped us to sort everything out (we needed a new battery). He bent over backwards to ensure that our stay was fabulous. The room was clean and the amenities top notch! Breakfast selections were awesome and the pool/view one of the best! If you get a chance to come to Ithaca, do yourself a favor and book this hotel!!

This place is a joy to stay in. The views are amazing, the breakfasts are tasty, the rooms (in our case a junior suite - just go for it) are spacious and welcoming, the pool is clean and well kept - but most of all the staff are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble and their service is always with a smile and without any of the 'professional charm' that you sometimes get in such places. It's a 5 minute walk to the harbour front and eateries, trips and shops.

This is a Dimond of a find, passionate people about there hospitality again the attention to detail of your stay is above and beyond. It’s a small hotel rooms are amazing Views of Vathy harbour incredible. Super friendly people and a humbling place to stay This I could not be more positive about staying here. It’s a must do ! Food is amazing and beaches are so close. Don’t be put of about the ferry over to ithica from Kefolonia it makes the trip an adventure!!
