We stayed for three nights to celebrate my birthday and explore Brecon Beacons National park. It was a wonderful stay, made even better thanks to Alun and Sally who run the place Location: Extremely convenient, right on A470. There is a secure parking spot if you drove. If you are arriving after dark and from Cardiff, you need to be a bit careful as you may easily miss the house and there are no streetlights. Room: A very nice, clean room with very comfortable bed. The bathroom is also very well appointed and clean. There is a small seating area within the room overlooking the vegetable patch and a hill side with a small waterfall. There is a fridge, tea/coffee, cookies and fresh milk...all provided free of cost. Breakfast: yummy breakfast, delightfully cooked fresh to order by Sally. Alun also contributes with his yoghurt berry compote. Even better is the conversations my wife and I had with Alun and Sally. We ended up having one hour long breakfast thanks to the conversation. Helpfulness: Alun is a wonderful ambassador of the area. He showed us the way to the four trails waterfall and the devil's staircase...both of them were spectacular. He even let me borrow his walking shoes when he realised I don't have the right shoes! Very kind and gracious of both of them If you want to go for a quiet break and there are only two of you, I will recommend this B&B any day. I wish them all the success. Thank you for having us.
