La Fonda Antigua Adults Only

Enjoyed a wonderful two nights at the charming La Fonda Antigua. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed room 7 with its private terrace and amazing views of the town. Also enjoyed breakfast as well as tapas and drinks at L’apéro!! Fully recommend you stay at La Fonda and experience it for yourself!

Really lovely helpful and friendly staff. Location was great, rooms beautiful and very comfortable beds. All in all a great place to stay in Vejer! Breakfast on the terrace was lovely or a relaxing evening drink with a calm atmosphere. We loved that is was close to the San Francisco food market.

Very quirky hotel, easy check-in as hotel reception contacted by email on how to access. Beautiful location and village.

From the photos the deluxe suite (one of the most expensive ) appears to have a terrace attached. On arrival, the terrace isn't for the room - it's the bar on the roof terrace and access from the flimsy door opens into the bar terrace, therefore the quiet weekend away - wasn't. Two nights of 20+ people drinking immediately outside the door wasn't pleasant. I feel the pictures were misleading. The room is small and everything is white, including the blinds - which in the morning from 7am allows brilliant sunlight into the room. The bath takes up a 3rd of the room and they layout is awful with steps and low ceilings. The windows are single glazed and impossible to keep open. We complained about the room and to be fair we're offered 2 others, both unsuitable - one quite damp smelling and no outside windows. The noise (until 11.30pm) the lack of blackout blinds and a super soft uncomfortable bed made for a pretty awful stay. I appreciate it's an old building and its got character, but overall I was bitterly disappointed. For the price, having stayed in Vejer before, there is much better for less. On the plus side, the staff were super nice and as helpful as they could be.

Come to dream in la Fonda, one of the best hotels in the area. Feel the warmth of Eugenia's team from the moment you book in! The hotel is decorated with love, the beds are amazing and if you can get room 12 do it! The morning light is spectacular. Have bites in their terrace by a michelin star chef from Jerez and leave your watch at home. Enjoy the change of colours of the sky while you see Morocco at the far end zipping excellent wines and enjoying the attentive service. It is trully magical. We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary and they went all the way for us. 24 hrs in la fonda is better than a spa! The only issue is that we booked one night only, next time 2 nights! Gracias amigos!

A very nice hotel to stay in. The interior is beautiful and inviting. The location is very central and in good site of the old town. The staff was very in accommodating and so helpful. We will stay there again.

El sitio es un espectáculo!desde la decoración a las vistas y las comodidades,pero sobre todo destacó la educación y amabilidad del personal desde el primero al último.Se ha convertido en nuestro sitio favorito de Vejer.Destacó el restaurante,que probamos toda la carta y no hay un plato que esté malo.Las croquetas y la vieira son una maravilla y con esas vistas!

Hemos estado alojados varios días en Vejer de la Frontera y la verdad que ha sido todo un placer estar en este hotel hospedados. Tanto el recibimiento de la llegada como hasta el ultimo día, el servicio (de recepción, cocina y limpieza) y trato ha sido perfecto, excelente. Antes de llegar al hotel, teníamos algunas dudas de sobre los aparcamientos y para acceder al hotel (que no es nada fácil jaja), y en seguida nos enviaron un email con las indicaciones. Al llegar, nos ayudaron con las maletas para llegar hasta la habitación, nos quedamos a cenar una noche y la comida estaba riquísima, además de las vistas, que son espectaculares tanto de día como de noche. El desayuno es ecológico, granola casera, fruta del día y fresca, todo recién hecho y el zumo de naranja recién exprimido, con variedades de pan (centeno, semillas, rustica), yogures naturales y café bien calentito. Su terraza nos encantó, los amaneceres son increíbles, además de que puedes hacer ejercicio y estirar (da la vida). Los atardeceres desde la calle corredera, son espectaculares también. Su ubicación es muy buena, estas a 2 minutos de la Plaza de España (de Califa) y justo al lado del Rincón de beso. Muy buena ubicación. Si volvemos a Vejer, sin duda volveremos a este hotel.
