Red Lion Guest House

We stayed at Red Lion Guest House in the beginning of July. The place is very clean and tidy . Very well maintained . It is also very quiet despite the fact that is on the main road. Every room has air con. Furniture is in new condition. They are few restaurants/ pizzeria around and gelato shops as well. People are very friendly. Owners very friendly and helpful. Excellent location. Choice of transport. Tram stop is just outside the house. For 1.50 euro return you can get the tram number 1 to Venice . It takes 30-40 minutes. The tram is running until midnight. There is a bus station just 100 meters from the house to get to Marco Polo Airport. Bus number is 45. The cost is 8 euro to the airport. No matter what transport you use . Just bare in mind that Saturday and Sunday the public services are reduced. Great place to stay and great location. Owners are so kind. Lovely breakfast and coffee as well. We have even tried the fruit from their garden. It was lovely. I will definitely recommend this place.

The manager and his family were very welcoming of me and did the up most to make sure I had a amazing time while staying with them. I would recommend opting for there breakfast option as they had a great selection of food.

The hosts were extremely nice, welcoming and helpful. The air conditioner was not working properly though. I would recommend this place.

Somehow I managed to set my phone so it was picking up the bus rather than tram - the bus was a 10 min walk away and tram is right outside so definitely make sure it’s the tram you get! Very quick and easy journey, there’s a tabbachi shop across the road where you can get tickets. The tram takes about 30 mins or so. The guest house was great, helpful guy on reception. The room was very modern, was comfortable and had everything I needed. I would have preferred to be more central to Venice but my hotel got cancelled. No problem being a little further out though. You’ll need a couple euros or so on your for the city tax.

We booked a room from 7-9.08.2022 and at 16.00 o’clock in 07.08.2022 before with 2 hours to arrived there we got an email that the “nice” host have denied our booking. This behavior cannot be encouraged! Please be careful when you booked that house!

Diego was very helpful and informative, he gave us excellent service, informed us about city transportation and where to purchase a city pass, saving us money.

Tout était parfait. Chambre très propre et confortable. Petit déjeuner varié. L'hôte était tout simplement adorable et très serviable. A y séjourner absolument. Très pratique aussi le bus et le tram à 2mn à pied et 10mn de l'aéroport en voiture.
