I was attempting to check in at the start of what I was told was a corporate-wide system blackout. Ultimately, it took over a half hour to check in rather than a standard 5 minutes. I requested complimentary parking as a small recognition for the lost time to my trip as I stood waiting to check in but the manager did not grant this request. ($20 ish dollars for self-park). The staff was kind and professional throughout but as a result, I lost about a half hour of my ~19 hour vacation and the hotel did not feel obligated to make a gesture of recognition. Aside from check-in my stay was great but the first impression left an indelible impression. My wife, while waiting to be able to park the car, had to pull out of the way and read a book in the car while waiting. At least she was somewhat productive.

Beautiful pristine hotel that is decorated like a museum with such detail and thought to it's historical location. Top notch resort, even in the winter. I'm sure the summer is even better!

Virginia Beach 2024
Trip to Virginia Beach and Norfolk Va was inspired by an announcement we heard on SXM radio of McCartneys photo exhibit at the Chrysler Museum. We stayed at the Embassy suites in Virginia Beach. It was a beautiful Hotel. Well decorated in a music theme. The rooms were furnished in gray and teal, which was very pleasing. The shower was very nice. The first day, I went to the heated indoor pool, which was 83 degrees. No one was there. We enjoyed the evening reception on both days. The white wine choice for the reception was limited to chardonnay. I think they could have offered more choices for free, there was an upcharge for another white. Breakfast was excellent, Loved the ability to get made to order eggs. Parking was $20 a day extra and there is a resort fee of $25 per day even in the off season which I found unreasonable. I walked on the beach. It was sunset, so it was a beautiful way to end our Valentines Day trip. Overall, the hotel was an excellent choice, and I would stay again.

When we checked in, the front desk rep was friendly, efficient and very helpful and informative about details concerning our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and I would highly recommend this property for anyone going to Virginia Beach.

Very nice property. Perfect for out of season although it is not on boardwalk but it is right on beach. Staff was fantastic and very friendly. I had dinner at the Cavalier hotel, part of property, and that was very special place. Downside was many places were not open in the off season and they charge extra for parking!!!

This is a new Hotel...The mattress is awful...sleep on the couch...My wife had back pain...Upgrade your Mattress!!!!

Stayed here on 1/6-1/7. Beautiful hotel. Very clean! Staff was very nice and accommodating. Two complementary drinks daily per guest. Breakfast is good. Arbuncle’s has amazing food. We really enjoyed ourselves. Pool was clean and relaxing. Worth every penny.

Rooms exceptionally clean!! Large rooms. Soap and lotions delicious. Enough towels and wash clothes. Unfortunately had a screaming baby in the room next door that cried constantly! And I mean at all hours night and day. So was not able to sit in living room area at all!!! Resort fees were deducted and I appreciated those being deducted however I dont understand why you have resort fees in the winter months ! I thought the fee for valet parking was too high. Was not able to enjoy any meals in the restaurant however the offer of free breakfasts nice!!!! The shuttle bus to The Cavalier was sensational and the drivers wonderful ( especially extra driver helping out on New Years Eve who was young and huge and muscular so could help
Me out of the shuttle since I have knee problems).
