Wilson Lake Inn

Stayed in one of their very nice suites. Two bedroom unit, one room had a queen bed and the other bedroom had two twins. There was also a pullout couch. Full kitchen and small living room with a lot of parking. Located on beautiful Wilson Lake in Wilton Maine. There is a lot to do in this amazing little town.

Nice independent non chain hotel in Rural Maine . Friendly staff. Well kept grounds. Would definitely return. The access to the lake is easy with a good dock. They have kayaks and canoes . The guest book in the room is a great touch with lots of helpful information

Nice quiet place to relax. Very friendly and helpful staff. Gardens are well maintained. Prices are very reasonable. Our experience with pillows could be better but desk clerk did give us extra. Enjoyed opportunity to use charcoal grill and bring back memories of dogs, burgers and of course stores. This is 2nd visit and definitely plan return. Thank you

Clean room and comfortable bed made a restful night. Morning coffee and waffles with maple syrup sent us off with smiles on our faces. We will definitely return for another stay and explore the grounds better. They looked beautiful from our window despite the rainy day.

Book a second story room. Our previous stays have been 5 star, in much nicer rooms on the second floor. This time we were in a ground floor room close to the office. We couldn't sleep in the same bed because only one side was accessible. The other was up against the wall. One bed had a hair on/in the bedspread. The carpet was so grimy my partner had to wipe off her feet before putting on socks & shoes just from walking from the shower to the bed. The towel used was no longer white. The hot water didn't last long enough for a normal shower, luke warm by the time I was rinsing the conditioner out of my hair. I did enjoy the early morning kayaking with the loons. But between the ungodly heat wave and the icky feeling room we went home a day early.

I was very disappointed in the Wilson Lake Inn I have been thinking about booking a room there for a while because I have been coming to the Franklin County area for years and know the area very well. We had booked a room online and thought we had booked a 1st floor room because we both have a physical disability and can't get up stairs very well. But when we got there to check on our room reservation they told us we had a 2nd floor room which I wasn't very happy about but it was to late to cancel our room reservation so we had to take the room. Because it had been rainy in the area we couldn't enjoy the lake because the grass was very wet. Well once we got settled into the room we turned on the air conditioner and it was very loud the ceiling fan in the bathroom was very loud too. The ceiling over the bathtub was very low and so was the shower head I am 5/10 and the shower head was to low for me. We didn't have hot water for our showers in the morning it would go in and out with the cold water. we tried to get the cable/ satellite tv but could only get streaming channel so we couldn't get local channels for news and weather. AS I said in the title in my review. The worst place I have ever stayed in and would never go back or recommend it to anyone. Plus they have no kind of breakfast in the morning and their website is confusing about rooms about what floors they are on. And the pictures of the rooms are old and not reason pictures.

We stayed in an end unit on the ground floor. The room was handicap equipped. the room was cozy and warm and met most of our expectations. The only drawbacks were no channel guide for the cable TV, and it took a long time to get hot water to get to the sink and shower.

We visited from Virginia to Maine (last minute travel) I was lucky enough to find this Inn. The staff is amazing /super friendly....something you do not usually ever see at hotels . Kitchen was clean ,room was cozy and clean . No strong cover up scents to mask odors . That alone is a plus . Very clean ...do not let the cover spoil it ..the pictures dont do enough to show how amazing it is here . We will be staying again.

Friendly welcome, clean room, beautiful gardens, quiet lakefront. Miss having a small breakfast in the place we sleep. Checkout friendly and easy. Nearby dined at Salt and Pepper, excellent meat loaf dinner.
