Hôtel de la Baie de Wissant

We had the more expensive sea facing room which is fabulous. Access is via a very grotty staircase at the back but don’t let that put you off! Free reserved parking behind the building. Very well equipped, comfortable bed, good shower. Balcony with table and chairs and fantastic view! Good choice of restaurants within walking distance. Right next to vast expanse of sandy beach.

We were very lucky to get the last room on a busy October weekend - mind you the weather was unseasonably hot and so I assume there were a lot of last minute bookings. We did not get a sea view but it is worth trying to get one given you are so close to the beach and will have a good view. We didn't have breakfast so don't know how good that was but can say there are places in the village/town which will also provide croissant/bread/etc . Wifi is a bit of an issue - it was no good for my laptop in our room so went to the two sofas which I am pretty sure are the only public places where you can sit and get connection. The room was clean, thought out, with outside space where we sat and had picnic supper. Bed was a good size and comfortable. Staff were really helpful. Parking and indeed the hotel, seconds from the amazing beach. And the 'shack' opposite does great moules.

Wonderfully situated hotel, just a short path to cross to the beach. The weather was fantastic so the hotel was perfect. It is clean and the rooms well equipped., they were not large but as we had a terrace it was not significant. Breakfast was lovely, freshly made juice and excellent choices for coffee, the usual croissants, cheeses etc. The safe hotel car park adjacent to the hotel was essential in a busy holiday resort.

So quiet and peaceful. Tucked away down a little road, near the beach, which wasn't easy to find at first, but well worth it when we did. Great size room with an outside area to sit. Near the beach, albeit very windy when we were there, which was good for the windsurfers/kite surfers and for us to watch. Very clean bedrooms and bathrooms both a good size, all very new. Breakfast was plentiful and a good choice, no cooked breakfast apart from boiled eggs which you cooked yourself to your liking. More than enough food to keep you going for the day. Fresh brewed coffee and a machine that juiced fresh oranges. The only down side for us was that a room a few doors away had a dog and it kept barking when the owners went out of the room, so maybe the dogs should be far away from other guests. Having said that the dog was quiet when its owners were in the room. We will definitely return.

Fabulous hotel overlooking the beach. Spacious room, big bed, ground floor rooms have a terrace. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel is a modern well equipped hotel, that sits literally on the beach. The room was large and the bedding very comfortable. Breakfast was extensive.

Het beste gelegen hotel aan de zee, maar dan echt aan zee. Het hotel heeft een eigen parking. Je kan er alleen maar ontbijten. Het ontbijt is heerlijk, er is wel geen gebakken spek of roerei, je kan er een eitje koken. Super vriendelijke bediening. 's Avonds kan je eten in een restaurant op wandelafstand van het hotel, bvb Les Fragins heeft een fijn aanbod. We raden dit hotel aan : omdat het echt aan zee gelegen is en een eigen parking heeft.

Magnifique emplacement sur le front de mer, donnant sur sa droite sur les dunes et à marée basse sur une très grande plage. Situé dans au bout d'une impasse pour véhicules, et donnant sur sa gauche sur l'extrémité de la digue de promenade. Parking privé gratuit à l'hôtel, petit parking public juste devant, entre l'hôtel et la plage. Excellente crêperie (Le Père Baptiste) en face de l'hôtel. Accueil souriant, convivial, chaleureux, professionnel. Personnel au top qui se démène pour rendre le séjour le plus agréable possible. Nous avions deux chambres, nous y avons constaté que tout y était nickel, équipement et propreté, rien à améliorer de notre point de vue (généralement plutôt exigeant). Très bon petit déjeuner buffet avec fromages locaux, orchestré par une équipe dynamique et à l'écoute, le tout dans une ambiance agréable.
