The Woburn

A clean and peaceful hotel with amazing food in a stunning village. We loved the quality of the food so much we had two evening meals there. If you're gluten free, the options are endless and genuinely nice to eat! It's also a nut-free restaurant so if you're a complicated dietary couple like us, you can be safe in the knowledge you can dine "normally" without another marital argument about who forgot the epipens. We actually had a conversation, relaxed and tucked in to a culinary experience that we're unashamed to say was the most pleasure we shared the whole weekend. It's hard to sum up how much freedom it gives a holiday to be able to eat good food safely. Thank you so much, everyone. The staff are faultless and every single member of waiting and reception staff were attentive and knowledgeable. We'd especially like to shout out to Abi, Emily and Kiki who were hard working restaurant staff and a pleasure to be served by. We tipped well, we think, but please give them a round of applause from us. The only, incredibly minor, downside was the lack of drinking water in the room. We found ourselves bulk buying massive bottles of drinking water from the supermarket to keep us going. All in all, our stay here was a wonderful, relaxing, safe and friendly experience. We may be back. Thank you.

I’ve always said you can measure a hotel by the quality of its mattress & toilet roll, and this place failed on both counts. Wishing to try something more upmarket & comfortable, my wife and I spent two nights in one of their Executive Rooms with king size bed at nearly £200 per night. It had the most uncomfortable, well past its time mattress my wife & I have ever slept on, giving us both bad sleep & backache. I can normally sleep on anything. The toilet roll was the cheapest I’ve ever seen in a long while in an alleged upmarket hotel. Breakfast choice very limited. Travel Inn at quarter of the price is more comfortable and has a better choice of breakfast. Will not revisit The Woburn.

The Woburn was very accommodating and went above and beyond to keep us happy. They helped make up the sofa bed on check in, brought us crockery and cutlery from the restaurant and helped take down the bed the next morning. Chloe was particularly helpful. We sadly lost a valuable item during our stay, but the hotel managed to get it back for us, which we greatly appreciated.

Having had a business meeting here today the staff were impeccable. Food was Devine. Special call out to the staff that looked after myself and my colleague. Molly, Maddy, Harrison and Neil. My colleague wants to come back more often because of them and have had his experiences globally it’s a raving review… thank you all.

Bitterly disappointed due to multiple layer room pricing and offers. We reserved an ‘early booker’ B & B that was guaranteed to save money in January for a stay early March. A night before arrival I found that there was a third party offer that included the same room status with a food voucher for £50 and a complimentary drink - and - cheaper than our B & B that we had booked direct. On speaking with reception staff and management we were told that they could not do anything for us - the offer was out with their control. When I strongly suggested that this was totally unfair they surprisingly agreed! So would I book with Oakman again? There is simply no point. They do not reward guest loyalty and we were offered no element of compensation. So personal advice is - beware.

Loved the cute town but everything closed before we could order, thankfully the staff made us a delicious calzone and we ate an unexpectedly great meal right by the room. The outdoor seating was beautiful, we got a suite outside and felt like our own private apartment. The eggs benedict the next morning was also delicious, and overall it was just a really relaxing, upscale but unpretentious place to stay.

Get off the highway, drive through some countryside and discover an English village with pubs, restaurants and this upscale retreat. The rooms are elegant, bathrooms spacious and clean, the wood-fired pizza is great and the staff of so friendly! Just what we needed after some stressful highway travel and city living.. a relaxing place to unwind far from the traffic. This is the experience we came for. Can’t wait to walk over to see the deer and taste their breakfast!

We have just returned from a lovely three night break. The executive room was spacious and comfortable with water, tea,coffee and biscuits replaced daily along with toiletries. The food was excellent, huge portions and very tasty and the wine list good. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who all seemed happy and friendly. Parking was good and the location excellent for Bletchley where we spent a full day as well as surrounding villages. Thank you for a very enjoyable anniversary break, recommended.

Situated perfectly for a visit to the safari park. We stayed the night before our Center Parcs break and couldn't have chosen a better place. We loved everything about it, the central location, plenty of parking, recpetion staff were very friendly and quickly checked us in. Rooms were large, bright, clean, modern and very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and loved the food, great service, didn't have to wait long for anything. The full english breakfast the following morning was amazing. I would definitely stay here again, so glad I ignored the negative reviews.
