On arrival to Cornucopia we were greeted by extremely helpful receptionists. We were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just to ask. This felt genuine. As the hotel is a converted farmhouse we were impressed at how it had kept its charm and original features. We spent the afternoon by the pool which is lovely. We always chose the top pool it keeps the sun for longer. The hotel requires you to drive to any of the sights so we hired a scooter. The receptionist Peter helped with this. The scooters sold out at On 2 wheels so I would advise getting one early. I would highly recommend hiring transport as it meant we saw lots of the island. The food at the hotel was good. Breakfast was enjoyable and as we were half board the set menu every night was varied and nice. Portions are plentiful and the service wonderful. A huge shout out to Mario who was attentive and personable. The rooms are basic but again have everything you need. The beds are made daily but our only small ****** was we felt the bathroom could be updated and cleaned more thoroughly throughout the week. Throughout the whole week we have felt relaxed, the hotel is tranquil and as it is a small establishment it doesn’t feel overcrowded. We would highly recommended you visit.

This hotel is located in a quiet part of the village close to a small church and within walking distance of the centre. It’s modern in style and quite clean. The only disappointing elements of our stay was the lack of insulation between the rooms, making them noisy if someone checks in the middle of the night, and the breakfast. The service at breakfast was abysmal. Guests had to wait half an hour for fried eggs and baked beans. The toaster is not fit for purpose and creates unnecessary queues in an already stuffy room. They only serve ultra processed sliced bread which is a pity considering the lovely bread Gozo bakers could produce for this hotel. The fruit options could be so much better, whole apples and oranges are simply not enough, a plate of sliced fruit would have made the offering so much better for conscious eaters. The mattresses are so hard and uncomfortable, they need mattress toppers badly. On a positive note, the staff are really nice and welcoming.
