I ordered lunch, but the food took far too long to arrive. To make matters worse, customers who arrived after us were served before we were. They were even seated right in front of us, which made the situation even more frustrating. Because of this experience, I don't think I will come here for lunch again. Other than that, the service was excellent.

Excellent location, right next to the mall, so everything is close by. It's about a 40-minute drive from the airport. The room was beautiful, clean, and had a great view. It was quiet and well-equipped. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming, and the doorman was also great. I'll definitely be staying here again!

It was a great stay. Staffs are polite and helpful. A male receptionist and a woman Housekeeping attendant at 16th floor were particularly helpful during my stay. The Pool is beautiful and I was actually amazed that they built a very deep pool for a hotel (1.9 m). My feet barely touched the pool ground, but they did have the fitness trainer who watched out for the deep pool. The room is okay, but I feel like it’s a bit small. Don’t get me wrong, they already are among the widest rooms in Yangon, yet the room I got had very tight entrance. The bathroom is separated with toilet and shower and bathtub. TV is rather small, I expected to have a more updated smart TV in this kind of hotel. The only thing I wasn’t satisfied was Breakfast. Yes, they did have variety of selections but the tastes were blend and honestly, I didn’t like their food menus. Overall, it was pretty decent memory to stay at Melia.

This is perhaps one of few premium hotels that are still considerate to smoking patrons and offer smoking rooms which is why I selected it. My room was on the 3rd floor, with direct access to the pool. The room was clean, spacious and modestly comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, delivering wide assortment and variety. There is a night club on site, however closed with anticipated opening from April 2026. The gym is clean and fully equipped. Look forward to staying here again.

Whether visiting on business or leisure, guests leave with a sense of serenity and timeless elegance. This hotel used to be a Nikko Hotel in Japan, and it was bought and renovated by Chatrium Hotels, a luxury Thai hotel chain. The plumbing in the rooms is excellent, and the Japanese food is delicious. The caramel pudding at breakfast was fantastic, just like something from a Japanese coffee shop. For lunch, they offer afternoon tea and even a shabu-shabu set for one person. There's also a convenience store inside the hotel, and a large 1STOP supermarket conveniently located near the exit by the pool. Kandawgyi Park is very affordable for foreigners with an entrance fee of just 500 kyats, and it has many restaurants suitable for lunch. The Rakhine Mont Di at the Rakhine seafood restaurant across the street is exquisite. The hotel is located in a very safe area with many embassies, and the staff are all very courteous. It's no wonder there are so many Japanese guests.

As a solo female traveler, I truly appreciated the hotel’s professional travel information and thoughtful safety reminders. They made me feel well-supported throughout my entire stay in Yangon. The staff were always kind, attentive, and ready to help whenever I had questions about transportation or places to visit. Thanks to their guidance, everything went smoothly and I felt very safe exploring the city on my own. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the view from the hotel was absolutely beautiful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other solo travelers looking for a comfortable and reliable place to stay in Yangon.

Location of the property is opposite to Myanmar Plaza shopping mall. It would be great if the size gate of the property could open for guests to walk a shorter distance to the mall. Service staffs were very friendly, especially Lenna who was very efficient during the check-out process and responded professionally to queries. Breakfast at D’Cusine was average needs improvement. There is also a Japanese Restaurant and a Korean restaurant for dining within the property. Swimming pool is excellent especially for family with kids. Club at basement played good music. Take note of age group and dress code requirements. Overall highly satisfied with the stay at this property.

The Hotel location is very convenient. Easy to go from one place to another. The cleanliness,service and price are fair. But the hotel location is wrong at Google maps and it's so troublesome to take grab when we choose pick up point or destination.

Convenient location for getting around, with restaurants nearby at night. The breakfast was delicious, especially the Burmese tea. You can see city views from the upper floors.
