Great location and nice atmosphere. Our room has decent space, bed was so comfortable and everything is clean

Hotel staff were very friendly , a complimentary glass of wine each upon arrival .
We loved our room and the MB toiletries were a delight especially for the bath in our room. The only slight downside was the noise from a brewery delivery next door at 6am . I’d still go back and recommend

Really lovely central hotel. Staff go the extra mile with little touches. The room was clean, spacious with a good selection of complimentary hot drinks section. Molton brown bath products. Definitely will come back.

Lovely hotel, set back from the Main Street so nice and quiet. Staff were friendly. Decor is a bit tired but the main problem was the mattresses. We had a twin room and both mattresses were from Argos, very cheap, very uncomfortable and you could feel every spring. We both had a very uncomfortable nights sleep which is the only reason I would not recommend this hotel.

Had a excellent stay at judge's court the staff are fantastic nothing is to much trouble for them room was clean and very comfortable will definitely stay agin10 minute walk from the train station and in the town center excellent location

It felt like I was staying in a bubble of time. The staff was helpful and accommodating. It’s a unique stay I would recommend and want to stay at again

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was quirky but comfortable and warm. The beds were excellent. You couldn’t get closer to everything in York, restaurants bars shops and theatre on the doorstep and the station a short walk away. I would definitely go back.

Well placed in the centre, but without the noise.
Lovely staff. Very friendly. Would stay again.
Shame there were no keys for the handcuffs though 😉😆

We had a basement room and it was okay. Spacious and comfy bed but was mouldy in places in the bathroom which could be cleaned off. Basement rooms are warm and have everything you could need. Walls are thin though. We heard ‘everything’ from next door and above, so just keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper. Great location. Everything was in walking distance and was brilliant for us. Overall, we would stay again we’d just ask to be on the ground or first floor.
