Golden Sun Resort - Adults Only

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautifully clean, gardens very well maintained, lovely pool. Food very adequate for all inclusive. Would definitely go back. Although airport is very close, noise of planes not intrusive and we found it interesting to watch the planes.

My husband and I traveled to Kalamaki for the 1st time and had the pleasure of staying in this hotel for 12 nights. The staff are so friendly and welcoming from the moment you arrive at the hotel and their hospitality continued throughout our entire stay, the restaurant staff, pool area and evening bar staff are an asset to this hotel and they go that extra mile to ensure that you are always made to feel welcome. We were allocated room 301 which we were extremely pleased about as the location for us was perfect. Very high standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel with room cleaning every day, the pool was cleaned every night and we never failed to get sun loungers. The food in the restaurant was very nice with plenty of choices at all meal times. We cannot fault this hotel & everyone works their hardest to give the holiday makers an extremely pleasurable stay. We told the reception staff as we were leaving that we would certainly be returning and we booked to do just that after less than 24 hours of returning home! Have visited the Golden Sun Hotel with my wife on many occasions whilst she was still well enough to travel. 2023 was my first visit as a single traveller and on arrival was greeted with "welcome home" by staff at reception, a brilliant greeting from people I have known from previous visits. The Hotel is well situated, extremely clean and provides varied meals and excellent service. I have booked 2024 already and look forward to another period of respite.

This hotel is clutching at straws to boast having 4 stars. It’s clean and modern but that’s all it ever can be. The food selection is ok but not worthy of its star rating. I recommend taking your own plastic glasses as the ones they provide are flimsy and too small and annoyingly in use in the evening when the pool is closed. As an adult paying a lot of money for all inclusive I expect to be able to sit outside on the balcony bar with a proper glass. They claim it’s health and safety which is absurd as all other establishments use glass. It’s purely convenience and cost. Thankfully it’s only a short walk into the town centre where you need to go for any entertainment as the hotel has it on twice in one week ! The result of this is kids have no entertainment during the day, other than the pool and the adults are left wondering why they actually booked this place. If you want a quiet break with nothing to do then this is the place to go.

Where do I start - we have stayed in a lot of different countries at a lot of different hotels, but for me this is the best by far. We loved loved loved it. Extremely very staff from the moment we arrived we were greeted at entrance, taken care of like royalty, rooms were immaculate and kept beautifully clean every day. Food was a worry for me as I am really fussy but omg it was very good, so much so I put on half a stone I ate that much 😂, all restaurant staff were attentive & friendly, night bar staff were great, especially Emiliano (young lad) think that was his name, he was fantastic, and will be well loved behind bar when he can serve. For me my particular two favourites were Dimitria & Andreas behind pool bar, I totally adored them both. Iv never felt emotional about leaving a place, but I did here, so much so that just 3 days after arriving back home we have booked to return, albeit its not till September 2024, but I am already excited. Keep up the excellent work everyone & look forward to seeing you all next year.

Just come back from a week away. Hotel and room are super clean. Staff are very friendly. Great location and right on the beach. Negatives: - not much choice of food and drinks - bar/all inclusive ends at 11pm - only allowed one key card for the room meaning when you go back into the room it is a sweat box

Had a good two weeks at this hotel. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and plentiful, and the drinks were limitless. The hotel was well situated, close to the beach, and restaurants and shops. The mini golf was fun and fairly close by. We had a few different trips on the fun train, enjoyed that. The second week we were there, so many places had closed down, as the season was ending. Wall to wall sunshine every day was a big bonus. My advice would be, don’t book after the second week of October if you want a lively nightlife. On the whole, a lovely experience.

Stayed here for a week end of October, from getting dropped off at the hotel we checked in with no problems, our cases were taken to our room, the room was lovely, great view overlooking gardens and a sea view, room modern, with air conditioning, the grounds were well maintained, clean , the pool was great, with ample sun beds, even a life guard on duty all day, nice snack bar with a very pleasant lady that would make you food with no problems, drinks around the pool were plentiful and good , the beer was cold and Very nice, the staff are all very hard working and really lovely, nothing is too much trouble for them,for an all inclusive restaurant this was above and beyond our expectations with a very wide selection of hot food, lovely salads and scrumptious desserts, all the soft drinks, coffee etc were great, the bar man with so happy and a pleasure to speak to, the all inclusive drinks were top class, all in all we had a wonderful time here and will most definitely be back, thank you golden sun ☀️

Upon arriving from the airport, which only took around 20 minutes and being the last drop off, the hotel looks smart and well kept, tucked down a quaint road, a stones throw from the beach and a 5 minute walk to the *****. The staff were very pleasant, polite and helpful. I honestly think you could ask them anything and they would put all their effort into fulfilling your needs. Once we were shown to the room, we acquainted ourselves with the accommodation whilst one of the staff brought our cases to the room (despite politely telling them we were fine to do it ourselves but they were insistent). The room itself was modern and well kept. The bathroom had a shower, easily big enough for two, had a nice powerful shower and plenty of toiletries. My only issue with the bathroom was a random wire sticking out from the wall. The beds were comfy, unfortunately we had a twin not a double room but we dealt with it. It is equipped with a tv, but it only gets the global channels, so if you want to watch some tv i would suggest bringing your own streaming device to plug in. We had a nice sized balcony that had a sea view with a table and three chairs. The room also had AC. The pool has a nice atmosphere with the main pool itself, a shallow pool for kids and a Jacuzzi. The pools arent heated however, and being at the end of October and the season, they were a bit nippy. But once you were in and acclimatised it was pleasant. They have a pool bar with snacks. The all inclusive drinks are more than sufficient. The beer was good and the wine was what you would expect. Its all self serve which saves on waiting time where you do have to use plastic cups. Wasnt an issue for us but some people might have a problem with it. They also serve snacks most of the day. Chips, toasties, nothing mad but good to keep you going until dinner. Breakfast, lunch and evening meals were always good and we never went hungry. The cooks work very very hard to get such a large and diverse menu to its guests but they really pull out the stops. Although not every meal was to our fancy, there was always another option to chose from which was nice. They always have a salad bar and the ingredients are always fresh along with an amazing dessert section. The restaurant itself, like the rest of the hotel was clean and modern, again having self serve all inclusive drinks taps to keep you refreshed. You can book activities through reception aswell which was very handy. We were too busy relaxing and heard of a boat tour that was going on the next day. We asked just after dinner if it was possible to join the group and without a bat of an eye, reception were on the phone and we had a spot on the trip. All in all, i wouldnt hesitate to visit the Golden Sun Hotel in Zante. We both truly enjoyed our trip and the staff were amazing.
