This is a sort of white elephant. From the outside it looks great, the most expensive place in town!
But the reality is quite different. The lobby is a huge room with big screens and cold environment, the check-in is fast and people speak English. The room assigned was about 700 meters away from the reception!!! super far away and no options of transportation, just walk with my suitcase.
As soon as I arrived to my room, there was a strong smell of humidity and drainage pipes.
I called the reception and mentioned that, they gave me option of an upgrade, but not for free, I had to pay 200 RMB extras!!!!
Finally I took it and the place was the same except with small balcony, not worth it!
Note: the view of the lake is outstanding! very nice, but the room is noisy and not comfortable. The breakfast is a market, lots of people, no organization, so you have to fight for a table, if you are alone (as in my case), I had to leave my jacket there to reserve a chair in a shared table.
The parking is good, but not convenient, you need to go outside from the hotel building to the parking facilities, in a rainy day is not convenient. Next time I will find another option.

The hotel is gorgeous, amazing views of the lake. Facilities on site are top notch and staff are respectful and helpful. Davis who helps us with this trip went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. I can’t help but recommend this hotel again and again!!

First impressions are very important and can determine a guest's experience.
The friendly and helpful front desk personel (Echo Huang & Mr Wong) were attentive and ethusiatically answered our various queries. As we found out later, even the housekeeping staff were warm and friendly, accomodating our requests.
The service attitude immediately made a very good start to our stay.
Room was comfortable and luxurious as befitting a 5+ star hotel. Sound proofing was top notch. The room we stayed in has a balcony and outdoor onsen which gave an excellent view of the tranquil lake beyond. A fine mesh prevents any bugs from entering even the balcony.
The view is akin to having the landscapes depicted in chinese paintings come to life!
Will definitely stay here again.

Hidden gem in Zhaoqing! A big shout out, and thanks to Emma, who upgraded us as it was my husband's birthday and the service provided was just up to the mark. She got the room decorated and also sent a small cake, how nice of her 😍 Loved the ambience, surrounding, services provided at the hotel. They had so nice water park, indoor pool, go karting. Also, there's boating, cycling, and jogging track in the surroundings. A perfect resort for family. I will surely come again with family and friends.

The location is very convenient and the room is large and clean. Robots services also convenient. The Thai SPA is very nice despite being a bit pricey. The only thing that is unsatisfactory is when I asked for a late check out, I was asked the reason why I wanted a late check out... I don't think this question is necessary, but I did get the late check out in the end.
