Hotel Limmathof

The hotel was within walking distance from the train station, about five minutes or less, and there were a lot of F&B places within a stone’s throw. The only downside I would say is that there is no king sized bed so we had two single beds joined together and we had to place a comforter in between the joining of the two beds to make it comfortable. There was also no hair dryer or kettle so for us to make milk for my toddler twice a day (once around 10pm and another time at 6am) meant that we had to go down to the front desk to get a flask of hot water each time. But the service was amazing and the staff went above and beyond. We had a really bad morning with our toddler having a breakdown because he didn’t bring one of his favourite toy vehicles with us for this vacation and he was crying non stop as we left. I noticed someone from housekeeping was on our level and that evening when we got back to our room, there was a little orange car toy on our bed for our toddler. It immediately put a smile on his face and he was so happy. He went to bed with the toy car in his hands. We really appreciate this thoughtful, kind and sweet gesture. We never found out who gave us the toy car and we really want to thank her or him. Thank you so much for going above and beyond. Because of this, we will always have a sweet memory of Hotel Limmathof.

Extremely convenient and value for money. It can get a little noisy since there are a few pubs just below.

Overall stay experience is good if you are considering to look for budget room

Amazing small hotel. It is an a great area. Easily walkable from the HB. Food and beverage easily available on the street and there is an attached restaurant (which sadly I didn't visit). The bed is very small. I'm 6'3" and barely fit. That being said it was super comfortable. Great for. Single traveler, but more than that probably couldn't fit on the bed. Not many amenities in the room. A fan to keep you cool. No refrigerator. Small TV. There was a bathtub, but I didn't take a bath. There was no anti-slip mat that I could see... But there may be one somewhere. That's my biggest problem with this hotel. The staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful. Everyone was in good spirits. I only stayed during a layover... But if I was in Zurich as a single traveler, I would happily stay there again for a few days. While traveling and wanting to see the sights, a fancy room isn't needed. A basic room to recharge is exactly what this was. It was comfortable and is in a great location. Very close to neat locations and food.

Room is really small with limited space to put an28inch luggage but location is good. Its fairly near from the train station even with a luggage. Also near supermarket. Pillows are very flat. Bathtub is gd!

the wifi is surprisingly very fast, which i was worried as i needed to work in the hotel it is super near to the train station with a lot of restaurants amd convenience stores downstairs it is at very affordable prices hence will not complain about the old building but it is troublesome to get water from reception multiple times a day, there should be at least a water dispenser on every floor
