I stumbled upon this nearly century-old mansion-style hotel during my trip, initially thinking it would just have a nice ambiance. To my surprise, the front desk staff were incredibly gentle and patient. They were enthusiastic and attentive throughout, making the check-in process efficient and thorough. They patiently answered all my questions with a comfortable and genuine tone, making me feel welcome and relaxed from the moment I walked in. There was no sense of distance at all. The biggest surprise was the hotel's complimentary Qipao rental service. The Qipaos were exquisite and beautiful, instantly boosting the photo-taking atmosphere. I didn't even need to bring my own clothes to fully immerse myself in the retro charm of the old building – a truly thoughtful touch. The hotel also has an elegant tea room where you can relax and have tea at your leisure, with a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. The public areas and rooms are adorned with exquisite decor: vintage carvings and antique pieces are tastefully combined with modern furnishings, perfectly showcasing the charm of a hundred-year-old mansion. Every corner shows meticulous care; despite being an old building, it's clean, elegant, and far from oppressive. The hardware facilities are comfortable, and the old building has undergone modern upgrades, ensuring a pleasant and secure stay. Overall, it's a peaceful oasis in a bustling area, offering both the historical depth of a century-old residence and attentive, personalized service with delightful added experiences. This stay truly exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it!

The hotel is within walking distance of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, passing through Zhongshan Park. Thanks to excellent urban planning, the walk never felt boring. It's also close to the Eight Market and a subway entrance. Secondly, the service is outstanding. Responses were quick, and any requests for items were promptly addressed. They offered a butler-style service, and even late at night, there was always someone available to assist. There was also a thoughtful inquiry about my needs when I checked out (room 103). Thirdly, the facilities are convenient. While it's true that the hotel's age means some facilities are older, this didn't affect their functionality. In fact, it added to a unique sense of history and gravitas. There's also a mini-fridge which was very handy. Fourthly, the dining is excellent. They offer a great selection of local specialties, and the daily breakfast is refined and well-executed. Even during my two-day stay, there were many new dishes introduced. Fifthly, parking is convenient. There's a large parking lot downstairs, and other areas also have parking spots. The greeters at the front entrance provided prompt service, and there's even an internal shuttle service for guests within the hotel premises. Sixthly, emergency response was impressive. When an unexpected issue arose, the hotel didn't shy away or avoid responsibility. Even after I checked out, front desk staff member 089 proactively contacted me to genuinely communicate and resolve the problem. Subsequent staff members who took over were also very communicative and didn't pass the buck, all working hard to protect the guest's rights. Regarding the laundry issue mentioned in some reviews, during my off-peak stay, the two dryers and four washing machines were never crowded or queued. This was largely due to the staff (A-jie) on-site who promptly managed the laundry. In summary, the minor flaws are overshadowed by the overall excellence, fully demonstrating the hotel's high quality, efficiency, and standards. Special commendation goes to front desk staff 089 for their problem-solving attitude, which truly showcased the hotel's commitment.

Traveling with a child, they managed to combine the twin beds and upgraded our room type. It was spacious enough for three of us, and we had a very comfortable sleep. The little courtyard by the pool on the first floor was a relaxing spot for a cup of tea. Our child absolutely loved the outdoor pool. We spent most of the first day at the hotel, with adults relaxing and the child having a blast. It was great. There's a small gate from the hotel leading to an underpass, and then you're right at the beach. It's super convenient for watching the sunrise, though unfortunately, it was too cloudy for us that day. The hotel's decor seems quite old; some of the floor tiles and other fixtures show wear and tear, so it's good to manage expectations. However, I highly recommend this for a family trip to Xiamen.

This guesthouse is perfectly situated on Huandao Road, one of Xiamen's best tourist areas. It offers panoramic views of Gulangyu Island and Xiamen University's Baicheng Beach, with all sea-view rooms. The night view is mesmerizing, and by day, it feels like you're flying above Xiamen with clouds at your feet. The service is warm and attentive, especially friendly to cat lovers. Step downstairs, and you're right on Shapowei Pedestrian Street, which is fantastic! The street is packed with incredibly good value Xiamen specialty foods, a feast for both the eyes and the stomach. This place offers exceptional value for money.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right across from Gulangyu Island, and within walking distance to Zhongshan Road. It's also not far from the airport. The views are fantastic, and the hotel itself is very comfortable. The facilities are convenient and functional, it's quiet for a good night's sleep, and even the toiletries are great. The rooms are spacious with a good layout. The staff are professional and enthusiastic, paying attention to guests' special needs. The front desk even upgraded us to a room with a beautiful sea view, which really enhanced our stay! Xiamen is a wonderful city to explore with delicious food and beautiful scenery! This is an excellent hotel to stay at!

You can truly feel the dedication of the management. 3. **What I loved most was the peaceful atmosphere:** Although the hotel is located within a scenic area, it's a tranquil oasis amidst the activity. In the mornings, you can hear the birds chirping. I stayed for six days and it consistently felt incredibly quiet and comfortable. The first two night view photos were taken from the hotel terrace, showcasing the stunning Min River at night. Staying here is an excellent choice when visiting Fuzhou.

Cleanliness: Excellent, everything was very clean, and the bathroom smelled fresh. Ambiance: Even if you don't go to tourist sites, staying at the hotel is perfectly sufficient. There are plenty of entertainment options and the scenery is beautiful. Service: They basically granted every request. Staff would proactively ask if we needed a shuttle or anything else when they saw us. The travel photos turned out great, and they even sent fresh, delicious fruit the next day. The breakfast had a wide variety, and the taste was decent. Overall, the hotel was the most satisfying part of our Wuyishan trip. It's definitely worth staying again.

The best decision for the 2026 Chinese New Year! Due to changes in our holiday schedule, we only had three days. I checked Ctrip, and Fuzhou's flight prices hadn't increased. We wanted somewhere with a beach and warm weather, and the Haiyingwan Hotel met all our needs. Perfect for a seaside stroll with the kids! The breakfast was absolutely amazing – they had Fuzhou fish balls and 'guo bian' (local rice-flour soup), plus a wide variety of Western and Chinese options. We stayed in Building 2, and the ocean was just a three-minute walk away. During low tide, the kids were so engrossed in collecting shells they didn't want to leave. The sand was fine and soft; it was incredibly relaxing, especially if you just want to entertain kids and seniors. Even my 73-year-old mother loved it. The hotel grounds are like a park. For kids who love planes, this is a treat! I heard it's the only seaside airport, so you can watch planes to your heart's content. It's not noisy at night either; with the windows closed, you can barely hear anything. **Amenities:** Very child-friendly, everything you need is there. **Hygiene:** Excellent. **Environment:** A coastal garden. **Service:** Excellent. **2-3 Person Family Package:** Truly too much food, I suggest they make it available for lunch as well in the future. **Fuzhou Airport Shuttle:** Departs every 30 minutes, always ready to go. **Seaside Mini Train:** Absolutely a favorite for little ones.

This was my first time staying in a guesthouse with an ancient folk house style, and it's located right within the scenic area. Although the room was small, it had all the necessary amenities, offering a completely unique and novel experience! 😍 You can enjoy tea 🫖 in the front hall, or play chess and practice calligraphy in the back. You can also dress up in traditional costumes for photoshoots and exploring, as the cultural atmosphere is really strong. It's also very convenient to find all sorts of delicious food nearby, and it's close to Yantai Mountain, with Sanfang Qixiang not far either. Breakfast 🥣 featured local specialty dishes 😋. The only downside is that the bed 🛏️ in this particular room is against the wall, only accessible from one side, making it more suitable for single occupancy.
