"The hosts were extremely helpful from the start, driving us to the hotel location and assisting with luggage transport. (They also brought us back to the railway station) They gave us advice on where to go to eat and which tourist destinations are around. The rooms are spacious with working AC, and various hygiene-promoting amenities. They are clean, luminous, and nicely decorated. There is some free water, meal vouchers, and tissues, and a hanging rack for nice clothes.The outdoor space is beautiful and comfy to relax around, and they made us free breakfast even though we barely made it before 9AM! Very positive experience. The location isn't far from the city wall entrance and is walkable to any tourist spots around the city. And for those wondering, this hotel is incredibly foreigner friendly :) 100% recommend you choose Jinxuan!"

"Compared to budget hotels back home like Home Inn, 7 Days Inn is so much better. It's spotlessly clean, hygienic, and offers incredible value for money. I've been to quite a few places and stayed at various brand-name hotels over the last couple of years, all costing over 200 RMB, but this one completely beats them hands down at this price point. To top it all off, the toilet actually has a heated seat!"

"The stay was wonderful! We were touched by the hospitality shown by the boss and his wife. They were really friendly and helpful, spending time to chat with us, and ensuring our stay was comfortable and our needs met. We were also served fruits! The decoration and architecture of the accommodation were impressive and the location is just excellent! We could walk to the various go-to places for food, tours and performances. Our bedroom was spacious, situated upstairs. The lower floor was where we could chill and eat or drink. There's a beautiful feel about the place. We also had fun speaking with their pet parrot One reason we fell in love with Datong is Renyi Inn!"

"This is probably the fanciest hotel around the train station. The room was huge and clean, which was great for staying with kids. We were here for a Joker Xue concert, and the shuttle stop was right across the street – super convenient! Even though it was a bit pricier during the May Day holiday, they gave us local specialties upon check-in and souvenirs at check-out. Honestly, this was the best and most rewarding Huazhu Hotels experience I've had. You can easily get to Zhonglou Street by shared bike. Taiyuan is a really nice city!"

"I gave all five stars because I honestly couldn't bring myself to give less; running a business is tough. But let me give you my honest thoughts based on the description. Room: It's not big, in fact, I'd say it's a bit cramped. Of course, that depends on the room type. I booked this place because it was the cheapest I saw at Art Stay and I wanted convenience for the Daishin Mansion (Daiwangfu) show in the evening (though it wasn't actually that close). This is a whole area of B&Bs, tons of them. You can't park your car for long near the entrance; the security guard will come over and tell you to move. This meant we'd see our car arriving from a distance and have to rush over to meet it before we'd even walked all the way back. Ugh. This B&B area is separate from Daishin Mansion; it's about a 15-minute walk, and you'll pass a street with lots of little stalls along the way. If you like browsing, it's worth a look – all street vendors. Bathroom Sink: The hand soap dispenser needs to be replaced soon; the pump is really hard to use. I suggest a new one. The faucet is too high, and water splashes everywhere. You have to turn it on very low to avoid a huge mess. I actually used a film to cover the drain and block the splashing water. The pop-up drain stopper in the basin can be removed, but it's already rusted, so I'd recommend replacing that too. Shower: It's okay. The water pressure was a bit inconsistent at times, but generally acceptable. The toilet room could use a larger spot for the toilet paper roll; it's only big enough for a phone. At night, there were a few small bugs. It's summer, so that's expected. The owner provided mosquito repellent liquid, which was helpful. Breakfast: It's in the basement (B1) and starts at 8 AM. If you're an early riser, the owner will pack you some small bread (like Three Squirrels brand), a sausage, and a carton of milk to take with you on the go. If you can make it at 8 AM, there's coarse grain, small bread, eggs, etc., which is quite healthy. The B&B also has an elevator, which is a nice touch for guests going up and down. Soundproofing is just so-so. They also offer bicycles for guests to use. If there are any available, you can take them out to explore, but be careful with kids riding. The roads are chaotic with cars and pedestrians, probably because there are so many people. We had no choice but to ride in the car lane, which felt a bit dangerous. The B&B is about 1 hour and 14 minutes from the Hanging Temple, about 30 minutes from the Yungang Grottoes. It takes a bit of a detour by car to get to Huayan Temple, but only about 10 minutes by bike, so that's quite close. Getting to Dongnanyi is also reasonable. So, in terms of distance, it's pretty good. However, if it weren't for the evening show at Daishin Mansion, I probably would have booked a hotel instead of a B&B. The front desk lady was good; you can tell her if you need anything. I usually try not to bother people when I travel, so I handle whatever I can myself. The bath towels and regular towels in the room are disposable, which is good and hygienic."
