This hotel is about 1 km from the Crystal City Metro Station, and about 200 ms from a CVS Pharmacy Store which is open 24 hours. A McDonalds is right outside the hotel, which is super convenient for a quick snack. There is free airport shuttle, but understand at some times, there is insufficient capacity for guests. For example, I arrived at 10:00pm at DCA Airport, after waiting the 30 mins for the shuttle at the airport, it arrived with no room for luggage or passengers. Told there was one more shuttle coming, (another 30 mins) so I decided to take lyft/uber for $20 to the hotel, with another guest from the hotel. While it is 1 mile from the airport, its a little difficulty with luggage. The hotel itself is old, but well maintained. The bathrooms have a noisy fan, every time the light go on. The desk is too high, and chair is not sufficient for effective computer work, because of the height issue. Still, the room is spacious and beds are comfortable. There is $50 deposit charge for incidentals per night not per stay. I requested a room with airports views and was given the best the hotel could - a glimpse through the surrounding buildings to river and some view of planes. Overall, this hotel represents very good value for money, particularly considering the 4 July celebrations. My 4 night stay was significantly less than other hotels in the area. I would certainly recommend this hotel and it is still good choice to visit Washington sights, without the high cost of hotels closer to downtown. And the walk to metro is about 10 to 15 mins.

Everyone at Holiday Inn Staunton was so friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was awesome and the waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here to everyone!

Very old, the bathroom faucet dripped all night, there was a bunch of long hair stuck to the shower back, the gym water dispenser was piled with disassembled but unused disposable cups, the water dispenser must have been broken for a while

The staff was very friendly and professional. Room was clean. Check in was easly and quick. There was a soccer team staying at the hotel. They got a little noisy, as well as some kids running in the halls one night. The staff asked them to quiet it down both times. Never stayed in a hotel where that was done. Quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was you typical continental. The staff made sure the area was kept clean and food was available. Mentioned to the front desk the bathroom sink had a drip. She felt bad I didn't mention earlier. Was really not big deal. Location was perfect. Close to the airport. Would definitely recommend.

Very satisfied with the room, very convenient, the hotel pick-up every half an hour, I waited for about ten minutes and arrived at the hotel at three in the afternoon and checked in smoothly. There is a restaurant behind the hotel called Cracker Barrel, which is very unique and serves traditional American food. My flight the next day was at 10:30, so I took the 8:00 shuttle bus. I was the only one there, but I heard from other guests that if it was 6:00 in the morning, there would be so many people that there might not be any seats available.

The hotel looks new & modern. Great location at the intersection of 81 & 460 to Blacksburg. Our room was clean & the bed was very comfortable. Very nice pillows & we all had a good night sleep. Breakfast although simple has all the ingredients I like for an early start. They offered 24 hours self help coffee & teas at the lobby was another great perk. Great stay all around!

Check-in was a problem. When I got there and called to check-in the person I talked to said that my card had been declined and that I owed $30 some more and wanted me to give card information. I said that I had a printed confirmation in my hand from Trip.com that stated that it had been paid. After about 15-20 minutes and after I had given the booking confirmation number, the lady put me on hold and came back and said it was fine and gave me the room code. Otherwise, it was nice.

Older hotel, rooms are not updated but clean, and the location is the best part of this facility, coupled with a plethora of food options within 1 1-mile radius. Right adjacent to a metro station. Construction taking place across the street, so expect noise only during day hours through 4 pm. Parking is plenty. Supportive staff. Did not try their breakfast. Pool had a lifeguard ( during summer), though I did not use it.
