"The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around, not far from the subway station. Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and The Bund are just a few minutes' walk away, making it easy to travel. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, and the service attitude is excellent. The hygiene is good, no strange odors, the mattress is comfortable, and the shower has great water pressure. Plus, they even have smart toilets!"

"I was traveling to Shanghai alone and struggling to pick a hotel. Since I was by myself, I considered a youth hostel, and unexpectedly stumbled upon a recommendation for this one on Xiaohongshu. The environment looked great, and it was an all-female hostel, so I booked it right away! When I arrived, it was exactly as I imagined – an old Shanghai, antique charm, which I never expected to find for such a reasonable price. The location is fantastic. Hanzhong Road station connects several metro lines, and I didn't even realize how convenient the transportation was when I booked it (?). I went from Pudong Airport to the Oriental Pearl Tower and then straight to the hostel. After checking in, I spent most of my time visiting museums. The Natural History Museum, which I wanted to see, is just one stop away. Then, with one transfer, I could reach Lujiazui, where most of the attractions are. I didn't have any transportation hassles at all. It’s super close to the subway station – just cross one zebra crossing and you're there. It only takes about thirty minutes to get to Lujiazui. The food options nearby are decent too; there's a Lawson convenience store opposite where I grabbed breakfast. The all-female environment made me feel very safe. The front desk staff were exceptionally nice. I checked in at 5 PM, and the police came to register my details and call my guardian, which shows how legitimate and well-regulated the place is! The environment is also very clean. There are individual toilets and hostel showers. I stayed for a short period, but it seems perfectly suitable for longer stays as well. Downstairs, there's a designated area for food delivery, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a sign saying delivery riders don't go upstairs as soon as I arrived! The front desk even offers complimentary water, which is a thoughtful touch. My roommates were also very quiet; everyone kept the noise down, so I had a great night's sleep on the first night and enjoyed my sightseeing the next day (P.S. the Oriental Pearl Tower on the first day and the butterflies at the Natural History Museum on the second). If you stay here, you absolutely must visit the Natural History Museum, which is just one stop away – it's incredibly good value for money!"

"No need for many words, just look at the pictures. The entire room felt dirty, and there were small insects flying around. Even if you're not sick, you'd get sick staying here. The mobile network signal in the room was also very poor. This was the worst hotel I stayed at during my trip. I thought it was a big brand, so I booked it without worries, but it turns out the standard is just average. The only advantage is its location. The housekeeper was very diligent, but the hardware simply hasn't been maintained. I don't expect the hotel to take this review seriously anyway; I'm just writing these few lines for everyone else. The bathroom features a completely separate sink, shower, and toilet. We didn't choose a street-facing room, so we had a small balcony. In Shanghai's hot and humid summer, having a washing machine and a balcony to dry clothes is absolutely perfect. The room also came with complimentary bottled water, Coke, Sprite, tea, and coffee. The kettle even has a built-in keep-warm function, which is a great touch. Cleanliness: The room was quite clean, and staff would ask daily if we needed it tidied up. Environment: The hotel is located on Huanghe Road, not far from the Bund. Nearby, you'll find New World City and Shimao Plaza for shopping. Since 'Blossoms Shanghai' became popular, Huanghe Road has been very lively, making dining extremely convenient. This street boasts a variety of delicious food, bubble tea shops, fruit stores, and authentic Shanghai local cuisine. At the end of the street, there's a 24-hour convenience store, a photo spot from 'Blossoms Shanghai,' and the International Hotel's Fan Sheng Bakery which always has a queue. If you're sensitive to noise or cooking smells, avoid street-facing rooms. You can opt for rooms facing the residential area at the back. When you open the balcony door, the old Shanghai-style alley houses with their red roofs are incredibly charming. Service: The front desk staff, one man and one woman, were quick to answer any questions we had. The service was excellent, and I'll definitely choose this place again when I return to Shanghai."

"I book a hotel every week for video consultations, specifically looking for stable Wi-Fi. Previously, even cheaper rooms elsewhere had reliable Wi-Fi for video calls, but not here. The staff tested the speed and said it was fine, but they completely ignored the actual user experience. In reality, the connection drops for 5-10 minutes every 30-60 minutes, which is incredibly unstable. For a 50-minute consultation, over 10 minutes were wasted due to constant disconnections – an absolutely terrible experience. They can't even provide a basic, stable amenity. They claimed each room has its own router, but what's the point? Their solution was to offer a room upgrade and extended stay for my next visit. Are they implying that wasting my 500 consultation fee isn't enough? And they expect me to come back? I have no idea what the person who suggested that was thinking. When the staff came to check the Wi-Fi, they were eating, and didn't even bother to clean up the crumbs they dropped on the floor; I had to pick them up myself. I will not be returning!"

Just be aware that planes are very close by, so you’ll hear them while sleeping unless you use ear plugs (which the hotel provides for free) 😊 Also, shuttle bus to take you to the airport and from it is great! Takes only a 20-minute trip. There are many good places in the same street to grab some food🤤"

The room itself was small; you'd practically bump into the bed as soon as you walked in, and there was no space to open a suitcase. The bathroom, in contrast, was quite spacious. The decor was relatively new, and the amenities were well-equipped."
