Good Location, nearby Gurney drive & tanjong bungah. Easy parking excess . Upstairs room have a spacious balcony but it's empty, hope they they will put in some chairs and table in the future. have nice cafe beside hotel.

Beautiful place, very very good value. Nice location in batu ferringhi, big comfortable bed, no issues checking in. Only small problem was getting the hot water shower working at first, but very good value for money

Location a bit tricky for first timer. Road sign ”Lava Mansion” quite small. The landmark ,Mayfair condominium. Parking were free. Just verified your car plate no. We booked two room. 1) Suite with spa bath (2 kingbed, 2 sofa, tv, iron) located at ground floor. Room is big enough to gather my whole family (8 peoples). Car parked infront of room. Suitable for elderly & family with kids. 2) Suite with 2 room ( 2room, 1 toilet, 1 bathroom inc huge spa bath). All is good. Can accomodate 4 pax. I booked for my siblings. Located at level 1. Batu cafe, just a 2 minutes walk. Can chilled and have a tea time tea. Facing sea ! Nice view. We spend around 1 hour to take a family pic there before checkout 😅 Overall. Satisfied with this hotel. Calm & chill area. Not to far from georgetown (only 3 minutes away) Definitely will come again!

Great place

I used it while traveling alone. The type of outlet didn't suit me so the charger I brought with me wouldn't work, but they quickly provided a replacement. I rented one room out of several buildings (houses), and the facilities were all clean. The other guests were quiet so I was able to use it without any problems, and it was very satisfying as it was reasonable compared to the price.

Five rooms, five families living together, the living room, the rooms, are all the best we have ever stayed in Malaysia. The owner is also very nice and recommended us a cheap and delicious restaurant next door. On the way, the locals told us why we live on the mountain, it would be very inconvenient, but when we arrived, we found that it was just at the foot of the mountain, and it was only a ten-minute walk to the beach.

This guesthouse was by far the best stay we had in Penang; we really regretted not booking more nights here. We booked last minute on the day of arrival, and luckily, there was still one room available. The owner immediately welcomed us and got us settled. The guesthouse is located halfway up a hill, so getting around is easier by taxi or motorbike, but this also means it's incredibly quiet, far from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas. You can see the sea from both the room and the balcony. In the morning, the balcony faces directly east, perfect for catching the sunrise, and in the evening, you can enjoy the sunset – truly excellent views. The house is nearly a hundred years old, but the owner maintains it beautifully. Everything is spotless, making for a very comfortable and reassuring stay. The next morning, the housekeeper even made us toast and fried eggs. Although we only stayed for one day, everything about our experience was delightful. We’ll definitely choose this guesthouse again if we return to Penang!
