The location was great, but our room had no direct light from sun, and no windows opening on outside at all, with an A/C that was not working at all. The room was hot and not air moving, a terrible feeling. On top of that, the room was located just below the roof top that was undergoing construction work, which means lot of noise from early morning. The room is very old, walls are stained, clearly not looking like the booking site pictures. The hotel needs a big refresh. Right now the entire exterior is under construction, I hope you plan to do the rooms soon. Overall, not acceptable not to be informed that there is big construction work done at the moment, and having a room with no external ventilation and AC working should not even be commercialized. A rip off for the price paid.

The hotel is actually older than expected. I chose this one because it clearly states that an airport shuttle service and a laundry room are available. I also double-checked to confirm they have a dryer, as I have a week’s worth of laundry to deal with during this layover. Unfortunately, the dryer did not work at all, and I ended up sitting beside it for two hours. And I had to resort to other slow methods to dry my clothes. On the upside, there is a Peking duck restaurant right next door, the airport shuttle is available, the bathroom hairdryer is powerful, and complimentary bottled water is provided.

My recent stay at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center in a Deluxe River View King Room was generally satisfying. The hotel's location is excellent, making business commutes very convenient. The river view room offered a spacious vista with good natural light and soundproofing. The public areas were clean and elegant, and the room's cleanliness was well-maintained. All facilities were complete and in good condition. Both the front desk and room service were prompt and attentive. Overall, the hardware and service match the hotel's star rating, making it suitable for business travelers. The only minor drawback is that some of the soft furnishings in the guest rooms appear slightly dated, with room for improvement in the details. Nevertheless, I would still prioritize staying here on future business trips to Beijing.

I and my family have a 3 nights stay in the cosy family rooms. The hotel location is very convenient for getting around and exploring the area. The buffet breakfast offers both Western and Asian options. It would be even better if there were more vegetarian dishes available for vegan guests. Overall, it was a good experience, and I enjoyed my stay.

The room was great, and the staff were very friendly. It's super convenient for getting around, right by the famous Shijia Hutong, with tons of food options nearby – you'll never go hungry. Just two things to note: there's no elevator, and breakfast leans heavily Western, with only knives and forks, no chopsticks. The front desk mentioned they have a lot of foreign guests, and I'd say about 80% to 90% of the people I saw were foreigners from all over the world. You'd occasionally spot a Chinese guest (like me, bringing back baozi and soy milk to eat in the restaurant). P.S. The family room was really good, first time staying in one and I was impressed!

The Executive Lounge on the 17th floor offers a fantastic view of the Forbidden City. Usually open from 6:30 AM to 10 PM, it's the perfect spot to take in the Forbidden City, including sunrises, sunsets, and its nighttime splendor. The hotel service is excellent, with staff proactively greeting guests and bellhops readily assisting with luggage. The ladies at the Executive Lounge were also super helpful, even offering tips for taking great photos of the Forbidden City. The hotel is conveniently located right on Wangfujing Street, directly opposite the Capital Theater. It's incredibly easy to go shopping and dining. After the pandemic, some sections of Wangfujing Street were converted into a pedestrian-only zone, making it truly China's premier 'Golden Street,' bustling with delicious food, fun activities, and a lively atmosphere. In the evenings, Wangfujing transforms into a talent show stage, with people singing and dancing everywhere. It's a vibrant area that still retains a strong sense of local charm. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the National Art Museum subway station, making it very convenient to access Beijing's core attractions like Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Qianmen, Temple of Heaven, Jingshan Park, Shichahai, and Nanluoguxiang. There's also a designated parking spot for shared bikes right outside the hotel.

This hotel offers incredible value for money. During peak season, it would easily cost over 1000 yuan. It boasts a huge courtyard and public hot springs, and the private hot spring tub in the room is also very clean and convenient. The entire hotel is massive and impeccably clean. The staff are attentive and meticulous, and upon check-in, we received a welcome fruit platter. The room is fully smart-controlled, with a refrigerator and complimentary drinks, and the TV allows for screen mirroring from your phone. After checking out, I realized I'd forgotten my phone charger, and the front desk promptly called me and mailed it back home free of charge. It was an excellent experience, unmatched by any other hotel at this price point. Highly recommended!

I was extremely satisfied with the room; it was spacious and bright, and conveniently located near Sanlitun for dining, shopping, and sightseeing. There's even a chance of bumping into my idol in Sanlitun! The subway station is right downstairs, making getting around incredibly convenient. Sitting on the balcony, enjoying the breeze, sipping coffee, and admiring the night view was simply beautiful. It was a fantastic travel and hotel experience. I don't usually leave reviews, but this time it was truly excellent and very comfortable. There were plenty of bottled water in the room. The owner is a native Beijinger who provided many travel tips, making my trip very pleasant. The guesthouse staff were incredibly attentive and helpful.

Let me start with an overall impression: the decor is quite distinctive, but the facilities are definitely dated. If you have high standards for your living environment and aren't too concerned about value for money, you might want to reconsider. Most of the doormen are unprofessional; they don't proactively open car doors or help with luggage, they just stand there watching. A key highlight: SUV drivers and new drivers should seriously reconsider using the hotel's parking garage. Both the entrance and exit are 180-degree plus sharp turns, and the lanes are extremely narrow, making it very difficult to navigate. Furthermore, when my friend tried to leave the parking lot for the first time, the parking barrier hit his car. This happened because of the unreasonably sharp turn at the exit and the short time interval before the barrier came down again. The duty manager was quite helpful and actively tried to resolve the issue. However, when my friend attempted to leave the parking lot a second time, he was hit by the barrier again, even under the manager's watchful eye. This time, he even tried to drive out a bit faster. We've since reached a resolution with the hotel, but I still hope future guests will be extra cautious. Overall, it's indeed a beautiful building, but the interior maintenance is seriously lacking. Staying for a day for a photoshoot might be okay occasionally, but I won't be returning.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone because of their service and manipulations. We booked Elegant Superior double room for four nights (744 $), but when we check-in they told us that they UPGRADE our room. The room we got is standard double room, smaller room, without wardrobe and cheaper room!!! Their explanation was ”that room has a bath”, which we didn't wanted. They didn't refund us price different from room. The swimming pool is warking from 6 PM until 12 PM !?!?!?!?!?! It's not written on the booking site. We booked and paid in advance this room because of location and swimming pool. First they, after 17 hours of travelling from another part of world, we didn't used a pool because it was closed in the morning. Second night we were treated like a criminals!!! They organised PRIVATE PARTY at pool and guests of the hotel couldn't use the pool or other amenities. They even didn't allow us to use deckchairs and relax. We came wearing swimming suites and hotel's BATHROBE and they asked us are we guests?!?!? Like we are walking around Beijing wearing swimming suites and bathrobes while visiting swimming pools in random hotels. We contacted the reception staff, but they didn't solved the problem. 3rd night the weather was rainy. Last night we packed. So, we didn't used pool at all. Hotel is located on pedestrian road and they provided wrong address at booking site, so taxi driver picked us at airport and dropped us at the opposite side of the street and we have to drag our baggages for 10 minutes.So, if you want to be dropped at location nearby, use this one No. 49, Xianyu Kou Street, Qianmen Subdistrict - junction of Xianyu Kou street and Qianmen East Road. One minute from hotel. WiFi in hotel is quite bad. Most of time not working. Breakfast is various and those who like Chinese flavours can choose from lot of different meals. Really good and tasty fresh fruit every morning, really good. They have quite good coffee and tasty pastries. Rooms are clean, with good amenities. Beds are comfortable. Modern, stylish. Entire hotel is very clean. Location is perfect, especially if you want to be in the very centre of old town. The staff is polite, willing to help, but half-professional. They are capable of cheating and manipulating guests. They don't speak English, but they use AI translator, so it is easy to communicate with them. Besides the good location, modern and clean rooms, good breakfast, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone because of their attitude regarding foreign visitors.
