My stay at Pousada Alto de Montanha was truly unforgettable. It’s an amazing place—peaceful, quiet, and perfectly tucked away from the noise of the city, surrounded by beautiful nature. The atmosphere makes it ideal for anyone looking to relax and recharge. The host was exceptional: always happy, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even more special. The food was another highlight—everything was delicious, especially the breakfast, which was simply amazing and clearly prepared with care. One thing that really stood out was the flexibility and willingness to help guests. Even though Trip.com states that reservations cannot be changed, the pousada was accommodating and helped make adjustments when needed, which shows their commitment to great service. A comida foi outro ponto alto — tudo estava delicioso, especialmente o café da manhã, que era simplesmente incrível e claramente preparado com carinho. Highly recommended, this hotel has a good view, good facilities, very quiet, breakfast is OK, the street is opposite the sea, the beach is delicate. Suitable for walking at night but pay attention to safety.

The hotel is well located, near everything and mainly the beach. The service is excellent, the room is perfect. I just leave my criticism of parking that is a little confused and tight and breakfast that could have more options.

The hotel is located on main street with food access to the big bridge that connects the villa velha. Not so far away is little favela but if you go the city is a good area. The hotel is designed in 2000 year style so is not super modern but is not vintage. The wet sauna and small swimming pool is a plus. View from the 4th floor is half residents buildings and half mountain, which is the best spot for a picture in the hotel.

O hotel é bom, a limpeza também estava ok, e o atendimento foi excelente. A comida é agradável e, no geral, tive uma boa experiência. No entanto, o que não me agradou foi o elevador — ele é bem antigo, faz muito barulho e não possui as especificações técnicas expostas, como a data da última inspeção, o que me deixou insegura, principalmente por estar hospedada no 12º andar. Tirando isso, gostei bastante do atendimento e dos demais serviços do hotel.

Hostel is very clean and well kept. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast included! Easy to meet other travelers and hangout! I made some friends while staying here and have gone out on adventures with them. The receptionist Lucas and the owner Wilson are extremely nice and kind! Great location, close to everything. I stayed here about 2 months ago and came back again to stay here again while visiting some friends! It’s felt more like a little home/family! 100% recommended!

My stay was for a couple. We arrived in the room and there was a blanket that was basically a single blanket and 2 very low pillows that looked like they could only fit one person. I called to ask for another pillow and they told me they didn't have any more. As a result, I didn't sleep very well. The service was very good, the hotel was well located and clean. The only thing that left something to be desired was this detail.
