"The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel is right next to Toyama Station. The hot spring bath was very modern, and it was great to have both a cold plunge and a sauna. However, we stayed for several days, and every time we went to the hot spring, there were quite a few people; perhaps there are many guests and the pool isn't very large. It seems the hotel doesn't offer breakfast? Even though there's a convenience store right outside the lobby. The most inexplicable thing is why there isn't a dedicated hotel parking lot? We had to find parking nearby every time, which was quite inconvenient."

"The hotel room is newly renovated and very bright, making for a comfortable stay. The TV is a new smart TV, so you can watch YouTube. The lobby even offers welcome drinks, which is a thoughtful touch. The hotel's location is convenient; it's only about a 5-10 minute ride on the light rail from Toyama Station, and the trains run frequently, so you don't have to worry about long waits. There's also a Family Mart and a 7-Eleven nearby, perfect for grabbing late-night snacks. The only minor drawback is that the sound insulation of the room door isn't great. If guests speak loudly in the corridor late at night or early in the morning, you can hear it quite clearly."

"Came here to relax with the natural hot spring that Toyama is famous for. The waters here are dark brown like soya sauce. The public bath has several baths including one that is outdoor. There are ample lockers, dressing tables and shower berths. The laundry room is inside the public bath area. They are separate machines from the dryer. While the washing machines are free, it costs money to use the dryer. The shower cubicle in the hotel room has no shower rail to hang laundry to dry. The double bed room has a private cypress wood bath tub. It felt good to soak in onsen water in the morning before breakfast. It’s deep enough for someone tall to sit in. A short walk away is the tram stop. A free tram ride coupon can be obtained from the front desk for international tourists."

"I chose to stay at a hotel in Toyama because I was eager to see the city with its snow-capped mountains. This was my first time staying at a Nikko Hotel. The service was standardized, and I didn't feel much warmth, which also reflects my overall impression of Toyama – it has the cool, stark feeling of a northern city. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but the taste was decent. You have to proactively ask the front desk for the complimentary tram pass."

"Five-star rating all around! I was a bit worried the 2019 renovation might feel old, but it absolutely doesn't – everything feels very new. They offer a pick-up service from the train station, or it's just a 300m walk. Inside the hotel, there are English-speaking staff, making communication a breeze. The buffet dinner was also good. There aren't many dining options on the hot spring street; besides one BBQ place, it's mostly set menus and ramen, so the hotel buffet is a better choice. For lunch, I recommend the cafe by the entrance; both the cakes and drinks were delicious. Since we visited in winter, we didn't book the scenic train, but we did go to the ski resort, which was perfect for kids. The foot bath next to the train station was super hot and incredibly relaxing. This is a great place to stay for two nights."

"The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Toyama Station, which is quite convenient. The facilities seem a bit old, especially the mattress in the room, which was too soft – probably due to age. They offer free coffee and drinks. Breakfast is served on the top floor with a great ambiance and a good variety of dishes. The hotel price is affordable, so overall, it's excellent value for money."

"Fantastic location, right next to the JR station, above the fifth floor of a shopping mall. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, with great service. The breakfast was also excellent, with delicious sushi, glowing squid, and soba noodles – all my favorites! We stayed for two nights and even got to see the snow-capped mountains from the top floor."

"It was a very nice hotel. The Western-style room was spacious and clean, and the bath, both the changing room and the washing area, were spacious and clean, making it a very pleasant experience. It was raining, so I got wet before entering the open-air bath, but it wasn't a cold season, so it wasn't a problem. I was looking forward to the free beer, soft drinks, and ice cream after the bath, as it was listed on the website, and I was also happy to find that the evening meal buffet also included free drinks, including alcohol, which made my stay even more enjoyable. It was really nice that there was little waiting time for the elevators, and free drinks were always available on the lobby floor, making everything pleasant to use."

"Before trip, I think this hotel is located close to Toyama station but I walked from Toyama station to the hotel around 20 minutes (However, this was my own fault for not reading the hotel’s location information carefully). For this hotel, the facilities is very well and various such as public bath, electric body massage machine, vending machine. For the public bath, if you use it during the daytime, you’ll probably get a beautiful view of the Japan Alps surrounding the city. Unfortunately, I used it at night, when it was too dark to see the view."

The location is a bit out of the way, but it wasn't a problem since we were driving. Although it's an older-style inn, it was clean and tidy. There were also quite a few locals staying there. They offered snack sharing in the afternoon and evening. The most pleasant surprise was the incredibly rich breakfast. I would definitely choose this inn again next time.

Stayed in a standard twin room for 2 nights. The room is slightly too warm as it operates on a central heating system. The rest of the hotel facilities are excellent. The staff are warm and friendly. If you do not want to have your room made up, they reward you with 2 QR codes which you can use at the vending machine behind the front desk. We chose this hotel as it was a street across the Shirakawago express bus stop operated by the Toyama Chitetsu Bus company. It was really convenient for us to use it to explore Toyama as well as take a day trip to Shirakawago.

I had a truly memorable stay at this hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff were incredibly attentive and kind throughout my visit. The overall atmosphere gave off a wonderfully authentic Japanese vibe, which made the experience even more special. One of the highlights was the delicious traditional Japanese breakfast — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The hotel room is newly renovated and very bright, making for a comfortable stay. The TV is a new smart TV, so you can watch YouTube. The lobby even offers welcome drinks, which is a thoughtful touch. The hotel's location is convenient; it's only about a 5-10 minute ride on the light rail from Toyama Station, and the trains run frequently, so you don't have to worry about long waits. There's also a Family Mart and a 7-Eleven nearby, perfect for grabbing late-night snacks. The only minor drawback is that the sound insulation of the room door isn't great. If guests speak loudly in the corridor late at night or early in the morning, you can hear it quite clearly.

Due to a booking error made by the agent, my check-in experience was terrible. I spent the entire night communicating with Ctrip (the booking platform), and while it was eventually resolved, I was still disappointed that I didn't get the room I wanted. The hotel is right next to Toyama Castle, and you might get lucky and see the Tateyama Mountain Range from the side. There's a convenience store and a tram station across the street, which is generally good. However, the room itself was very basic, and the service wasn't particularly warm. Overall, the experience was just average. A small surprise was the mochi pounding and sake offering on New Year's Day morning.

The hotel in the middle of the moutain. Indeed!!! The hotel is just short walk from the bus stop. Room was huge, well equiped with amenities. They also provide the skin care as well. The hotel dinner was really good. It was the japanese course with free flow drink. (Sake, Fruit liquir, beer, soft drink). There are a lot of activities inc. Walking on Midagahara wetlands, stargage (japanese only). The hotel is just next to Midagahara wetland which you can enjoy the view of seacloud in the evening and the stunning view of glassland and the mountain in the morning. 10 of 10.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel is right next to Toyama Station. The hot spring bath was very modern, and it was great to have both a cold plunge and a sauna. However, we stayed for several days, and every time we went to the hot spring, there were quite a few people; perhaps there are many guests and the pool isn't very large. It seems the hotel doesn't offer breakfast? Even though there's a convenience store right outside the lobby. The most inexplicable thing is why there isn't a dedicated hotel parking lot? We had to find parking nearby every time, which was quite inconvenient.

The hotel is really close to the station, right between the North and South exits. When you come out, head right towards the M shopping mall. Walk a few steps along the side of the mall, and you'll find the hotel diagonally opposite the Toyota car rental. The staff were all very friendly, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was quite generous, and there's a 24-hour drink bar. The hot water for the coffee machine is at the very bottom, indicated by a red button. Just across the street, in the mall, there's that delicious sushi restaurant with self-service ordering – it's fresh and tasty!
