The hotel is in a very nice location near people’s square The metro station is across the street. The hotel is very luxurious with marble everywhere The concierge service was one of the best in Shanghai and helped me get reservations in multiple michelen guide restaurants last minute, and they are very gracious to provide an endless supply of bottled water. Check in and check out were very smooth with the aid of Judy and Jackie, who serve you to the absolute limit of their aurhority.

This is an older 5-star hotel, and my first impression was that the exterior and facilities felt a bit dated, especially the power outlets in the room which haven't been updated to modern standards. However, after checking in, the various service experiences were excellent, including luggage delivery to the room, responsive front desk service, and a very rich and authentic breakfast. The hotel's location isn't ideal for exploring the city, but it's perfect as a final stop before leaving Shanghai, as it's very close to Disneyland, Florentia Village Outlet, and Pudong Airport, making it very convenient to get there by taxi.

Traveling with a lot of large luggage this trip, I was initially worried about the inconvenience of carrying and storing it. However, the hotel's concierge staff proactively assisted throughout the entire process, smoothly delivering my bags to the room and even thoughtfully arranging them in the custom storage area. I didn't have to lift a finger myself. Temporarily storing luggage when going out was also incredibly convenient; the check-in process was simple and efficient, and upon retrieval, my items were neatly arranged. This meticulous luggage service truly eased the hassle of long-distance travel, showcasing the professional caliber and attention to detail of a high-end hotel.

Whether you're heading to major Shanghai railway stations or the airport, it's completely hassle-free, significantly cutting down travel time. This is incredibly traveler-friendly for out-of-town visitors and business travelers, perfectly solving the transportation challenges of getting around the city center. The hotel's amenities are practical and thoughtful, with attention to every detail. You can experience the smart robot delivery service throughout your stay; food delivery, toiletries, and drinking water can all be delivered to your room with a single click – efficient, convenient, and full of a high-tech feel. There's also a gym and self-service laundry room. While not grand or luxurious, the facilities are fully functional, clean, and incredibly practical. It's especially suitable for extended stays. Overall, the stay was comfortable and stress-free. I’m so glad I chose the Mehood Elegant Hotel. It was the perfect location — close to everything, not too crowded, yet not too remote either. I traveled solo with my 14-month-old toddler, and he was absolutely spoiled by all the hotel staff. Everyone treated us with so much kindness and care. Jerry checked us in and out and even gave me a cute fridge magnet. The breakfast was delicious with so many options to choose from, the rooms were cleaned daily, and bottled water was always replenished. Xiao Jun also took great care of us, and Yinhe Juan felt like an auntie to us. We looked forward to seeing them every morning at breakfast. They all made my stay feel so warm and welcoming — truly like a home away from home. I’m incredibly grateful for their hospitality, and if I ever find myself back in Shanghai again, I’ll definitely be booking Mehood. PS: the view from my room was incredible!

The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was spacious with a bathtub and great water pressure. The bed and pillows were large and comfortable. The TV was ready to go, no need for memberships or anything. The swimming pool was also excellent – clean and not crowded, with a hot tub available. There's even a sauna in the changing rooms. Parking was free. We happened to be there when they were updating the parking equipment, so we didn't need to go through any procedures; we just parked and drove out, which was very convenient.

This was honestly one of the most memorable hotel stays we have ever experienced. We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong to celebrate my girlfriend’s 23rd birthday during our first trip to Shanghai together, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. Before arrival, Assistant Guest Recognition Manager Yana Ivleva kindly communicated with us by email and thoughtfully helped arrange everything for the celebration. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel welcomed even before we arrived at the hotel. The room decoration, birthday cake, handwritten card, flowers, and beautiful Bund view created such a special atmosphere for us. Every detail felt thoughtful and heartfelt rather than simply formal hotel service. The hotel itself was also outstanding — the room condition, cleanliness, facilities, swimming pool, and especially the incredible night view of Shanghai were all amazing. Flair Rooftop Bar was also a wonderful experience for enjoying the skyline and atmosphere. What impressed us the most, however, was the hospitality. Yana and the staff truly made this stay unforgettable for us, and thanks to them, our first trip to Shanghai became a memory we will cherish for a very long time. We are sincerely grateful to The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong and will absolutely look forward to returning again in the future.

We booked the Kempinski for Children's Day, hoping to create a wonderful memory for our child. As a popular spot for its 'influencer-worthy' pool, the Kempinski truly lives up to its reputation. It has a distinct beauty both day and night, and I really felt the charm of Shanghai. The driver told me that many people come specifically to take photos of the hotel with the Oriental Pearl Tower – it’s a classic shot. Now for a few minor issues: Our room had a great view (as shown in the picture), but the bathroom felt a bit dated and wasn't ideal. For a bubble bath, the water pressure wasn't strong enough, and the bubbles didn't quite materialize. This is a small point. Also, I found the Black Forest cake to be just average. However, the burger we ordered for in-room dining (Picture 7) was absolutely delicious! It was huge, and I ate the whole thing. It came with truffle mayonnaise, and the patty was firm and juicy – highly, highly recommended! The price was definitely 'Kempinski-level,' but the taste, like private chef quality, was excellent. I asked for an extra children's amenity kit for the room, and they provided a small bag that even included a Children's Day toy (Picture 14). I also bought some ice cream, chocolates, and macarons from the lobby. The ice cream was the best – the strawberry flavor I had even had large pieces of real strawberry, which was a pleasant surprise! Ms. Julia Li was incredibly thoughtful and suggested I place the order through Dianping, showing great consideration for the customer. Big kudos to her! She was the only one who told me this, despite me buying items three times, so a special thank you!

Booked this room for a client. The hotel staff contacted me in advance to help coordinate the room arrangements, which was great. The hotel boasts an excellent location on Nanjing Road, close to the subway station, making transportation very convenient. The service staff were warm and professional. Overall, the value for money is really good. Thanks to 066 for arranging the room, it was good!

Booked this room half a year ago for my child's college entrance exam today. The front desk was incredibly nice; they specially arranged a quiet room on a high floor, away from the elevator. They even put a banner on the door wishing success in the exams and provided thoughtful snacks and fruits in the room. My child got some excellent rest. Many thanks, highly recommend!
