"On the day I checked in, I left my things in the room and I went shopping. I did leave a Do Not Disturb sign on my door. When I came back, the minute I put down my shopping, someone tried to open my door. Looked through my peep hole and saw a middle aged woman. The key obviously did not work. She left after a while but came back with a bell boy who rang in my doorbell. I opened the door and bellboy apologised and asked if I was staying here. I said I have checked in at 3pm. Bellboy pointed at two luggages and said he sent them to the wrong room? Wait what? Whose are these? The woman said they were hers. Bell boy said he delivered them to the wrong room. Next, front desk called me and asked for my name. Not to apologise but ask for my identity. She confirmed that there’s been a mistake in assigning rooms. I asked her what do I need to do. She said nothing. No apologies. I asked her why the bellboy entered my room even though the Do Not Disturb sign was there. No answer. My advise to those who choose to stay here - double lock your doors and keep your valuables with you. They did not respect my DND sign and entered my room."

"Location is great as near to town. Only inconvenience is when you need to go to town, you need to drive further down to make a U-turn. The floor inside the unit is dusty. I really don't feel comfortable walking on it. Should put up notes in the unit that housekeeping is not available for those staying 2 nights or more unless we make special request. So that we can ask for drinking water or toilet rolls on our way back to the unit. The swimming pool, guard should enforce stricter rules that only swimming suits are allowed in the pool. T-shirts (even for parents) should not be allowed at all in the pool."

"It’s a nice resort in Ipoh surrounded by greenery. Cleanliness and maintenance could be improved. Black mildew grow around shower heads which is gross, dust on kitchen top surface and bad smell came out from the AC ventilation in the bedrooms. Activities listed for kids are of poor quality. There was a group of adults using the playroom as resting and make-up room. There was hardly anything for children to play with in there.. Achery was a joke, reception staff had no clue on the schedule and couldn’t be bothered to find out. It’s hazard to place a thin piece of glass on the table top  in the apartment."

"Spent one night at this hotel for a business trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was for the price. The parking area is spacious and free, with valet parking available from RM30 per night. The hotel has a modern design and is equipped with a Face ID-like entry system, which adds a nice touch of technology. All the room switches are touchscreen as well. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. I also really loved the bathroom design, especially the electronically operated toilet seat very much like the ones you’d find in Japan. They also provide complimentary snacks and carbonated drinks, which was a nice bonus. Overall, definitely one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for its price. Great comfort, modern facilities, and plenty of thoughtful touches. Would definitely consider staying here again."

"Love the hot spring facilities offered by the hotel, especially when you get to enjoy a private hot spring and pool in the villa! And regardless of where your villa is located, there’s buggy service available 24/7. Yoga among nature was also amazing. A really nice place to relax within nature. HOWEVER, as a luxury resort, I was disappointed with the check-in service. Firstly, there wasn’t a clear indication of where the reception/lobby was, so our driver ended dropping us at the carpark. Once we were within the lobby area, it took a while for the staff to actually welcome us. Unlike the check-in service we saw another family receiving later in the day when they were dropped off at the main lobby, we immediately felt the difference. Btw, the resort should really consider lighting the direction into the lobby at night. Most of our private hire drivers have pointed poor signage/lighting to the lobby. Next, the jungle walk group was too large with only one guide. We could barely hear what the guide was saying at the back, so yes it was merely a walk for us."

"The house cleaniness really need to improved. The sink is stuck, water outflow is slow. Even the utensils is oilly and pot is oilly also. The bedsheet got stains and toilet didn't clean properly. I wouldn't stay here anymore. The sofa foam is sinking also."

The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The swimming pools, beach, and family-friendly facilities made our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast had a good variety of delicious food. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable getaway!"

She said nothing. No apologies. I asked her why the bellboy entered my room even though the Do Not Disturb sign was there. No answer. My advise to those who choose to stay here - double lock your doors and keep your valuables with you. They did not respect my DND sign and entered my room.

We had an amazing stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut Resort! The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning sea views. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The swimming pools, beach, and family-friendly facilities made our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast had a good variety of delicious food. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable getaway!

Love the hot spring facilities offered by the hotel, especially when you get to enjoy a private hot spring and pool in the villa! And regardless of where your villa is located, there’s buggy service available 24/7. Yoga among nature was also amazing. A really nice place to relax within nature. HOWEVER, as a luxury resort, I was disappointed with the check-in service. Firstly, there wasn’t a clear indication of where the reception/lobby was, so our driver ended dropping us at the carpark. Once we were within the lobby area, it took a while for the staff to actually welcome us. Unlike the check-in service we saw another family receiving later in the day when they were dropped off at the main lobby, we immediately felt the difference. Btw, the resort should really consider lighting the direction into the lobby at night. Most of our private hire drivers have pointed poor signage/lighting to the lobby. Next, the jungle walk group was too large with only one guide. We could barely hear what the guide was saying at the back, so yes it was merely a walk for us.

Spent one night at this hotel for a business trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was for the price. The parking area is spacious and free, with valet parking available from RM30 per night. The hotel has a modern design and is equipped with a Face ID-like entry system, which adds a nice touch of technology. All the room switches are touchscreen as well. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. I also really loved the bathroom design, especially the electronically operated toilet seat very much like the ones you’d find in Japan. They also provide complimentary snacks and carbonated drinks, which was a nice bonus. Overall, definitely one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for its price. Great comfort, modern facilities, and plenty of thoughtful touches. Would definitely consider staying here again.

The spa was a fantastic and unique experience, and the sunset on the beach was absolutely beautiful. The restaurant was decent too. Our room was very close to the lobby. However, there's one thing to be aware of: service charges and taxes can be applied multiple times. For instance, after paying for the spa, an additional 10% was added to the final bill. Just a small heads-up for everyone! It was truly a happy trip 😁, but all that happiness definitely came with a price. In the end, our on-island expenses were even higher than the room rate! 😅

Location is great as near to town. Only inconvenience is when you need to go to town, you need to drive further down to make a U-turn. The floor inside the unit is dusty. I really don't feel comfortable walking on it. Should put up notes in the unit that housekeeping is not available for those staying 2 nights or more unless we make special request. So that we can ask for drinking water or toilet rolls on our way back to the unit. The swimming pool, guard should enforce stricter rules that only swimming suits are allowed in the pool. T-shirts (even for parents) should not be allowed at all in the pool.

Great place to stay for families, the pool is nice too. However, a lift was down and it was a long wait to get inside the lift.. but not byon's issue, the place was a great stay :) this was a stay with an extended night! Very cozy and looks exactly as advertised.

This is a very new hotel apartment. It's fully equipped with pots, pans, an induction cooker, microwave, refrigerator, and hairdryer. The only thing missing is a washing machine, but all other essential in-room facilities are there. The room is quite spacious; we booked a two-bedroom apartment. At around 140 Malaysian Ringgit per night during the May Day holiday, it offered great value for money. It was more than enough space for our family of three, with one king-sized bed and two single beds. The living room had a sofa, and surprisingly, the TV even had Mango TV and Tencent TV! 😂 The infinity pool on the hotel's top floor isn't huge but is very tastefully designed. There's also a co-working space specifically for digital nomads, and the gym is excellent. The garden on the second floor is beautiful both day and night. The hotel itself isn't far from the city center. It's about 6-8 MYR by Grab from the train station, and roughly the same to the Mural Street. To Perak Cave and Mirror Lake, it's about 8-10 MYR, making it very convenient to get around. The only issue is that since the apartment is quite new, Grab's current pick-up/drop-off point is located at the main entrance on the main road. If you have a lot of luggage, you might need to ask the driver to go around to the reception area at the back of the apartment.

It’s a nice resort in Ipoh surrounded by greenery. Cleanliness and maintenance could be improved. Black mildew grow around shower heads which is gross, dust on kitchen top surface and bad smell came out from the AC ventilation in the bedrooms. Activities listed for kids are of poor quality. There was a group of adults using the playroom as resting and make-up room. There was hardly anything for children to play with in there.. Achery was a joke, reception staff had no clue on the schedule and couldn’t be bothered to find out. It’s hazard to place a thin piece of glass on the table top  in the apartment.

Really enjoyed my stay, but they need to clean the mattress and pillows better for dust. I have a dust allergy and was sneezing so much I couldn't sleep. Apart from that, it was a great stay. Sorry, I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the rooms. It's a really nice place to stay, and it's super close to the pool too!
