I am writing to formally document a series of service failures, inconsistencies, and a safety concern experienced during my recent stay at IntercityHotel near the airport in northern Germany. Upon arrival, I encountered unprofessional conduct at reception. Despite the desk being empty, two staff members failed to acknowledge me appropriately, avoided eye contact, and instructed me to wait in a dismissive manner. Although self check-in machines were available, no guidance was offered. I had to identify and request to use them myself, receiving only minimal and inattentive responses. During my stay, I requested a basic item (a box of tissues) from housekeeping, which was never delivered. This reflects a failure to fulfill a simple and reasonable guest request. More concerning was the inconsistency regarding late check-out terms. I had agreed with a morning receptionist (Amy) on a late check-out until 3:00 PM for €35. However, when I reconfirmed this with the night receptionist, I was informed that check-out was only free until 1:00 PM and that each additional hour would cost €50. This contradiction indicates a lack of internal coordination and transparency. As a result, I was compelled to leave earlier than planned. Additionally, my interaction with breakfast/lounge staff was inappropriate and unprofessional. I was met with visible irritation (sighing, dismissive tone), condescending remarks regarding my order, and poor service delivery. The coffee provided was of unacceptable quality (containing grounds and served in a visibly dirty cup). A request for almond milk was handled with reluctance and discourtesy. The final remark, “enjoy your coffee,” was delivered in a sarcastic and unprofessional manner. Importantly, I also encountered a safety issue in the room: I found a piece of broken glass on the floor at the entrance of the bathroom. This represents a clear lapse in cleaning standards and poses a risk of injury, which is unacceptable in any hotel environment. While I acknowledge that the room was otherwise clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning, and that the bathroom facilities and breakfast offering met expected standards, the overall experience was significantly undermined by repeated service failures and the aforementioned safety concern. The pattern of behavior observed suggests deficiencies in staff training, internal communication, quality control, and basic service standards. This falls below what can reasonably be expected from a hotel operating under a recognized brand. I trust this complaint will be taken seriously and reviewed internally to prevent similar experiences for future guests.

Pros: 1. Very close to the airport, which is super convenient for early departures and late arrivals. You can even self-check-in if you arrive in the early hours. 2. The room is spacious, and the bathroom is quite large too, making for a comfortable space. Cons: 1. The room isn't soundproof, so earplugs are a must (and the front desk doesn't provide them). 2. The duvet cover was a bit scratchy. Overall, it's perfectly fine for a short stay, especially if you're dealing with flight schedules.

It was nice to stay here. Good and pleasant hotel. The only thing I was charged twice, one time by trip.com and hotel. So multiply your amount *2 and enjoy your stay)))

Unfortunately, the receptionist gave us the keys to a room already rented, which led not only to surprise, but also to loss of time. We couldn't take the ”Excuse Drink”, because it was only valid from 12.00-19.00h. The beautiful indoor and outdoor basins are unusable, because the inner area is not heated and there is no lighting in the pool. Outdoor you can't swim, unfortunately blocked and also cold.

The forest hotel is located directly on/in the forest. Beautiful modern rooms, beds i.O. , mattresses very firm, therefore needs habitual. Bath/Douche flat and very modern. A buffet for €25 is offered in the evening, which was also in order. Selection was abundant. All in all, the forest hotel is recommendable.

I had a very satisfying stay at the IntercityHotel Berlin Airport BER Terminal 1+2. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to the airport. It's a short walk from the terminal, which is perfect for travelers catching early flights or arriving late. The room was clean and tidy, and quite spacious. The twin business room had comfortable beds and excellent soundproofing, ensuring a very quiet night's rest. The facilities were comprehensive, and the overall environment was modern and comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful; both check-in and check-out were smooth. The breakfast offered a good variety of options and tasted great. Overall, I was extremely pleased with everything, from the location and room comfort to the service. If I'm ever flying from Berlin Airport again, I'll definitely choose to stay here.

Full disappointment already at check-in. Even a station hall and is pleasant. Privacy and discretion seem to be a foreign word in this hotel en. The staff welcomed guests as market cry ( loud , very unhappy , unpleasant). Thank you to the quiet trainer. Then the colleague should look out something that overplayed her inadequacy with stupid speeches and did on a big maker. The room was also clean for a meeting hotel i.O. Breakfast a disaster , the station hall atmosphere made the rest of the night perfectly to grandmother. No place in the breakfast room, the first coffee was made , feeling like drunk at the school courtyard in front of the door, for lack of space. The whole hotel is exciting and unrestful. The staff appears completely overloaded. A absolute no go. At breakfast missed basket for bread, dishes, butter, breads, everything went and went, disoriented and confused guests like staff. I can't absolutely recommend the hotel. 4Sterne for what? I didn't even have the impression that there was not enough staff, but that this worked absolutely untrained and unprofessional. You had the impression that there is no structure here, all over the hotel. The staff always smiled just made comments to overplay the state in this hotel. Very sad.

Very helpful staff at the reception, who also help on the phone! This is how I received, for example, a water cooker on request and the information I needed. Since I had to do in the area, the location was ideal for me. There are few free parking places around the hotel, so it is better to book a parking place there, if necessary in the deep garage.
