"Great location, just 1min walk away from Toyama Station on level 5 of the Maroot building . It’s a perfect base to move around the Tateyama region. The room is on the small side but adequate and well furnished. For tourists who need the iron & ironing board, there are 2 sets per floor that you can use. This is a lifesaver. I’ve had to deal with the trousers presser only at certain hotels, much to my dismay. This was a nice change."

"Nice and clean hotel. But the melting snow is not easy to walk on. ( For visit in June) It will be good if the commentary for walks or for night slide show can be in English as well. The staff are very polite and helpful. Delicious dinner too. Lastly thanks for giving me a room with wonderful view at level 4. Windows can be opened and air is very fresh. Free tea and coffee and selected timing. Souvenir shop and public bath are good too."

"Really enjoyed that onsen! This is a fantastic place to stay with an amazing breakfast buffet, a lounge where you can make creative tradition Japanese arts, big rooms, friendly staff and most of all an amazing onsen. The onsen here is maybe one of the best we’ve been to and we’ve been to a lot, it even offers a cold bath if that’s your kind of thing. The down sides (which very minor) are the WiFi which was pretty weak and the fact you’d need to have a car to get out there (which we did, but for some this may be a problem). Nevertheless, this place is a 10/10 would highly recommend."

"This is a very Japanese-style hotel. If you want to experience Japanese culture, it is worth staying here at least once. The staff are friendly and speak English better than the average Japanese person. Since it is located right in front of the station, transportation accessibility is not too bad. However, as it is in a small town, you must always bear the burden of Japan's expensive transportation costs when traveling to and from places. There is nothing around, so it is completely dark and scary at night except for the main roads. The area right next to the hotel is a soliciting entertainment district. Therefore, it is not a good environment for taking a walk, running, or wandering around looking for things to do at night. Instead, enjoy the late-night ramen provided by the hotel starting at 9:30 PM. Most guests are Japanese, and since there is a public bath inside the hotel, everyone washes there. There is a fierce game of ”reading the room” in the bathhouse, where you have to make room for others to avoid getting too close. It does not operate from morning to afternoon. However, the shower curtains in the in-room bathrooms are clean; although cramped, they are good for using comfortably alone at any time. For the hotel breakfast, you must choose between Japanese and Western styles along with a bar stocked with some bread and drinks. Since you cannot change the composition of the meal, there are no options other than the provided food. There is a coffee machine in the hotel lobby. However, it is unavailable from morning to afternoon, so if you are feeling lazy, please make sure to get some coffee the day before. There is an ice machine on the 6th floor, which is convenient. When taking the elevator, give each other a light nod, and once inside, keep your distance as much as possible and look in different directions. Although the elevator doors have sensors so they do not close when people are getting on or off, please press the open button even when only a single person is exiting. If you do not press the open button, you might see the person exiting pressing the close button as they get off. There are two large supermarkets nearby, but Apple Mart, located a bit further away, has a wider variety of food items and is cheaper. If you want to enjoy a variety of Japanese food at a lower price, visit the supermarket. Anyone who has visited Japan frequently for at least 10 years will be surprised by the current prices of Japanese food and the small portion sizes. This supermarket will save you from the hunger caused by Japan's excessively small food portions. This is especially true if you are a big eater...."

"Great location, right across from the station. The room was spacious, and the service was excellent. The seafood rice bowl at the station was absolutely delicious. Plus, it's only a 5-minute walk to the free observatory at the City Hall, and right opposite the observatory is Toyama Castle Park."

"The hotel is conveniently located near Toyama Station. Downstairs, there's a Japanese restaurant and a sushi place, but unfortunately, neither accepts reservations, so you have to queue. There's also a convenience store on the first floor. The front desk is on the second floor, where you can pick up toothbrushes, toothpaste, makeup remover, skincare, tea bags, drip coffee, and bath salts – a really good selection. You need your room card to access the elevators. The room itself is a bit small but quite new, and the layout is pretty efficient. My only complaint is the narrow and long entryway; with a 24-inch suitcase open, only one person can pass through at a time. It would be perfect if that hallway were a bit wider. The bathroom gets a huge thumbs-up! It's spacious, with a separate bathtub and shower, and the shower floor dries very quickly. For room cleaning, you need to put a sign on your door. If you only need fresh towels and trash emptied, you can leave them outside your door in the morning, and they'll hang new ones on the doorknob. They provide two bottles of water daily. Toyama Castle and the 'most beautiful Starbucks' are both within walking distance."

"Came here to relax with the natural hot spring that Toyama is famous for. The waters here are dark brown like soya sauce. The public bath has several baths including one that is outdoor. There are ample lockers, dressing tables and shower berths. The laundry room is inside the public bath area. They are separate machines from the dryer. While the washing machines are free, it costs money to use the dryer. The shower cubicle in the hotel room has no shower rail to hang laundry to dry. The double bed room has a private cypress wood bath tub. It felt good to soak in onsen water in the morning before breakfast. It’s deep enough for someone tall to sit in. A short walk away is the tram stop. A free tram ride coupon can be obtained from the front desk for international tourists."

"I was so lucky booking this hotel in such a low price compared to the quality and the brand reputation of JAL. The lobby and the room is so spacious and divided to each zone. The restroom is not a Japanese Bathroom Pod like other hotel. P.S. One of the front desk man is so handsome. I was way too shy to checkin with him LOL"

"The hotel is unforgettable. One berth and two food choices should be the most common set meal, but it is still amazing. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, enjoy the breakfast in the courtyard snow scene, regardless of the tip of the tongue or the eyes, you have the ultimate enjoyment. Bibimbap snacks for breakfast have a variety of tricks, and Toyama famous things are worth trying. The exquisite presentation makes people unable to bear to eat, everything is ingenious. We did not book a private soup, because the scenery of the public soup is more beautiful! There are very few guests staying, and the hot spring in the snow is worth a try!
