"The hotel is contemporary with Noyanya design. The staff is friendly, the guard is helpful. The breakfast is varied western and Asian cuisine. The swimming pool is kids friendly and near to the beach. There are fews restaurants opposite the hotel . The body wash, hair shampoo and conditioner makes my hair smooth. We always stay this hotel whenever we visit Penang. It’s our favourite hotel."

"Had a pleasant stay at Jazz Hotel Penang! Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. I especially liked that the room came with a bathtub — although I was hoping there would be a bath bomb provided too but no bath bomb . My room had a partial sea view, but it was still okay and quite nice. 🌊 The breakfast was definitely one of my favourite parts of the stay! The nasi lemak, soup and tomyam bihun were really good. The fruits were also surprisingly sweet and fresh — really enjoyed them! 🍉🍍 One thing that I think could be improved is the iron provided. Unfortunately, there were some stains on the iron which transferred onto my clothes, and it also wasn’t smooth when ironing. I only used it briefly and decided not to use it again because I was worried about damaging my clothes. Other than that, I had a good and comfortable stay. Would definitely consider coming back again! 😊"

"Stayed for 2 nights. It was an amazing experience. When I first stepped into this hotel, I was greeted with a charming and beautiful smile by one of the staff (I didn’t get his name) 😔 which he then helped me checked in. It was a very smooth process. My room was big and spacious. Although it looked abit old, but the air con was cold 👍, the pillows and mattress were comfortable to sleep in. Some renovations was going on at the moment as you can hear loud drilling noise in the morning. Location was great too, it’s a walking distance to a nearby supermarket for all your groceries needs. Can also walk to favourite food spots around the vicinity. Will go back again when I visit George Town in near future!"

"We had a fantastic stay! The hotel is in a great location with easy transportation—you can easily hail a Grab right from the lobby, which is super convenient for independent travelers. The gym is well-equipped, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options, making every morning a pleasure. The room size is just right, offering a comfortable and cozy stay. My absolute favorite part was the large floor-to-ceiling window in the room, which overlooks the cityscape of Penang. It has a wonderful ambiance whether it's day or night. We noted it was our honeymoon when booking, and they helped decorate the room with a lovely drawing. The staff were very friendly and spoke basic Chinese. Both check-in and check-out were smooth. Just a heads-up that the elevators require your room key card to operate, and the cards automatically deactivate after 12:00 PM on the check-out day (the front desk easily reactivated it for us). I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Penang."

this hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.

Great stay! It's within a kilometer of both Armenian Street (mural street) and the Chew Jetty, making it convenient to go anywhere. We noted it was our honeymoon when booking, and they helped decorate the room with a lovely drawing. The staff were very friendly and spoke basic Chinese. Both check-in and check-out were smooth. Just a heads-up that the elevators require your room key card to operate, and the cards automatically deactivate after 12:00 PM on the check-out day (the front desk easily reactivated it for us). I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Penang.

Had a really pleasant stay at Georgetown Urban Suite. The unit was clean, spacious and comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with the necessary facilities. The overall environment was cosy and relaxing, making it a great place to stay after a long day exploring Penang. The location was also convenient and easy to get around from. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would definitely recommend this place to others!

The hotel is quite new with spacious rooms and offers great value for money. However, after checking in, a series of issues made our stay quite uncomfortable. First, regarding the front desk service: although there is a Chinese-speaking receptionist, most of the time we were assisted by one who doesn't speak Chinese. Moreover, her attitude toward white guests was noticeably better than toward Asian guests—it went from friendly smiles to cold indifference. Also, as shown in p1–p2, the Americano we ordered at the lobby café had a small bug in it. The front desk offered to remake it, but we were rushing to catch a flight and had no time to wait, yet they didn't waive the charge for the coffee, and the matter was just left unresolved. Secondly, as shown in p3, the AC remote control didn't work properly; we had to stand almost right next to the air conditioner for a few buttons to respond, and we couldn't adjust the temperature at all. Every time we entered the room, we had to spend half an hour just wrestling with the air conditioner. Finally, as shown in p4, the door latch in our room had been removed for some reason. A friend staying on another floor said their latch was intact, which made us feel very insecure when sleeping at night.

I stayed for 3 days. The staff who helped me with check-in and check-out were very nice. However, one of the days, an Indian female staff member was full of bias against Chinese people. She treated white people and Chinese people completely differently—she was extremely fawning toward white people, but very rude and arrogant toward Chinese. I originally booked an ocean-view room, but it was super noisy at night. There was booming music and vibrations from a nearby bar until at least 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning.

The place very convenient as it located close to city centre and near to eateries. The unit is clean and able to cater for my family. But we have bad encounter during going down from parking lot as our car hit the middle divider and badly scratched the door. The access is too narrow and sharp and people can easily hit it. Also if I may suggest, it would be more convenient if the host can provide detergent for the washing machine and big mirror in the living room for our use. Other than that, the place is great and we don't mind staying here again for our next trip to Penang.

The best thing about this hotel is it's location! The hotel is walking distance or very short Grab to a lot of famous food such as Nasi Kandar, Char Kuew Teow, cendol and other hawker food! It is also near to Hin Bus Depot, known for its Sunday flea market. U will find local vendors selling all kinds of products ranging from craft, food drinks and more! As for the rooms, air cond was perfect for the hot penang weather. Room isn't too cramp either for a city hotel. Staffs were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They even have a gym and swimming pool! The only negative point I can think of is parking space might be limited if u are driving

The hotel is contemporary with Noyanya design. The staff is friendly, the guard is helpful. The breakfast is varied western and Asian cuisine. The swimming pool is kids friendly and near to the beach. There are fews restaurants opposite the hotel . The body wash, hair shampoo and conditioner makes my hair smooth. We always stay this hotel whenever we visit Penang. It’s our favourite hotel.

We had a fantastic stay! The hotel is in a great location with easy transportation—you can easily hail a Grab right from the lobby, which is super convenient for independent travelers. The gym is well-equipped, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options, making every morning a pleasure. The room size is just right, offering a comfortable and cozy stay. My absolute favorite part was the large floor-to-ceiling window in the room, which overlooks the cityscape of Penang. It has a wonderful ambiance whether it's day or night. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with our stay and would definitely love to stay here again!

Disappointing Experience – Major Improvements Needed for Room 31-05 – Severe Hygiene, Safety, and Communication Issues. I hope management takes this review seriously. We stayed in room 31-05 for 3 days and 2 nights (RM200 deposit required) and had a very stressful stay. We encountered rove beetles daily, which caused great anxiety for my family over potential skin infections. Additionally, the hygiene needs urgent attention as there was a blood stain on our duvet cover. Housekeeping was not provided, and basic items like slippers, tissues, and a full-length mirror (or any mirror in the main bedroom area) were missing. Finally, communication and security must be upgraded. There are no CCTVs in the lifts, and there is no direct line of contact to the front desk during an emergency. I have emailed management directly to resolve this but have yet to receive a reply. I expect management for prompt response.
