This is a long-established hotel, very close to Kyoto Station, the city's main transportation hub. The rooms are spacious with large windows that let in plenty of light. For breakfast, you have a choice of two restaurants: one is a rotating restaurant on a high floor with great views, offering a set menu. The other is a buffet on the first floor with a very rich selection. The downsides are the lack of laundry facilities, the bathroom isn't wet/dry separated, and the room lighting is a bit dim.

I was extremely satisfied with my stay, and the service was excellent. While there was some kind of pump or utility hub just outside the window, making it too noisy to open for fresh air, the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a beautiful view. Moreover, the room became perfectly quiet once the windows were closed. The room itself was very spacious, and I particularly appreciated the design of the large mirror in the vanity area.

This is one of good place in Kyoto that everyone should go. It’s near the Kyoto to station and many attractions place. You can walk easily to go restaurant and sightseeing. The room has many functions that you can use its . The highlight of this place is onsen that it includes when you stay at this hotel. Everything Nitchya Tiewanichkul can relax your body after walking the city. The breakfast has many food that you can select.

Extremely convenient location, just south of Kyoto Station. Plenty of restaurants and shopping centers nearby. The lobby bar on the hotel's ground floor is even cozier than a cafe; I stayed for five days and started every day of my trip with a coffee there. The hotel's facilities and service are impeccable. This will be my top choice for my next trip to Kyoto.

Found some hair under the bed that wasn't vacuumed before checking in, didn't fully take all our rubbish. Decent place to stay at location wise but very small space for a family (especially in the ”king deluxe room”). Only had 2 towels too despite there being 4 of us.

The hotel entrance isn't huge, but the 4th-floor reception area has a wonderful design with lots of greenery, bringing you closer to nature. It's a really comfortable spot to just sit and relax. The room itself is spacious and comfortable, and importantly, it has a small balcony that lets in natural breezes. Having fresh, circulating air in the room is incredibly important to me. There was a short-haired lady at the front desk who was exceptionally kind and thoughtful. When I checked my luggage, she noticed that what I'd bought was a cream roll and thoughtfully offered to refrigerate it for me. She also gave us a warm farewell when we left. Although I'm not entirely sure if she was trying to communicate with me in Chinese because I couldn't hear very well with her mask on. There are some downsides, though. Even on the 8th floor, I was still bothered by motorcycle noise every night. I'm a light sleeper by nature, so I didn't get good rest those two nights.

The location is great, nestled between Hankyu Shijo-Omiya and Karasuma, making it easy to walk to both. This is super convenient for getting between Osaka Umeda and Kyoto Kawaramachi. Plus, there's a Shijo-Horikawa bus stop right downstairs that goes to Kyoto Station. Overall, it's very convenient, and the facilities are complete, including a thoughtful luggage storage service! Excellent value for money.

This hotel is super close to Kyoto Station, which makes getting around a breeze. Plus, there's a 7-Eleven right downstairs. For Japan, the room is quite spacious – we could easily open up two 24-inch suitcases. The separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are a huge plus. Overall, it was a great stay and definitely good value for money. The only downside is that because it's so close to the station, the soundproofing isn't amazing, and you can hear train noise in the mornings.

I stayed at MIMARU Kyoto Kawaramachi Gojo with my friends and family (6 people total), and it was a great choice for a group stay. The hotel is conveniently located near several public transportation options, though you may need to walk a little, which wasn’t a problem for us. There are grocery stores nearby, and it’s close to Gion and many famous tourist spots. The room was spacious, very clean, and well-equipped with plenty of facilities. We were even able to fully open our 29-inch suitcases for everyone at the same time, and there was still plenty of space to move around. It offers excellent value for money, especially for larger groups. I would definitely choose the MIMARU brand again for my next trip!

The room was very clean, and they provided two bottles of water every day. The staff were all very polite. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options. The only downside was having to queue for breakfast a few times, which I'd never experienced before. The location is very convenient, close to the train station.
