"The resort's overall environment is indeed beautiful, situated right by the coast, perfect for enjoying sunsets, swimming, snorkeling, and cycling. There's also a private pier for island hopping. The scenery is absolutely stunning and great for taking beautiful photos, especially for women. The in-room facilities are quite old, and there's a musty smell inside. However, the exterior environment is excellent, with soft lawns and a variety of entertainment facilities. As for service, for a five-star resort, I'd say it's almost non-existent. There's an internal tour available, but I wouldn't highly recommend it; the value for money is quite low."

"Rating: 4/5 We had a really pleasant stay at Hilton Garden Inn. The hotel is known for its calm and peaceful nature, and it really delivers on that. Perfect for couples who enjoy quiet and greenery. *What we loved:* - *Rooms & Ambience*: The corridors and rooms were super clean, serene, and well-kept. Beds were very comfortable. - *Facilities*: Toilet, vanity area, and iron board were all nicely set up on day 1. - *Location & Views*: The private beach, sunset views, and wind by the sea were absolutely beautiful. So peaceful. - *Staff*: The staff who attended to us were really nice and tried to help quickly. *Areas to improve:* - *Bathroom drainage*: After showering, the water was stagnant because of uneven flooring. We had to manually push the water out, which was a bit unpleasant. - *Housekeeping*: On the second day, the toilet wasn’t fully cleaned and disposable items like toothbrushes weren’t replenished. We had to call to request them. - *Breakfast*: Good variety overall, but some food was cold/dry and basic condiments like butter were missing. I understand the hotel is under new management so hopefully this gets sorted. - *Room service*: It would help to have 24-hour service as some rooms are quite far. Overall, we really liked the hotel and would recommend it for its peace and views. Just hope management works on the small details above. A quick apology/acknowledgement from staff would also go a long way. Would stay again!"

"had a very pleasant stay at Citadines Waterfront Kota Kinabalu. The location is excellent and very convenient, with plenty of restaurants, shops and attractions within easy walking distance. The property feels modern, clean and well maintained. My room was comfortable, spacious and clean, and the facilities were very good. I especially enjoyed the overall atmosphere and the waterfront location. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful throughout my stay, and check-in and check-out were smooth. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience with good value for money. I would definitely consider staying here again when visiting Kota Kinabalu and would recommend it to solo travelers looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay."

"The resort is nestled within a natural park. From 9-10 AM, the beach area gets crowded with tourists who stay on the island for a few hours. After 4-5 PM, the island empties out and the atmosphere becomes magical: a peaceful immersion in nature! A equipped beach with cabanas and sun loungers is available (about twenty, but we always found a spot). The only restaurant on site serves a mix of Malay/Asian and international food. Considering its 'monopoly,' the prices and quality are fair. The room (beach suite) was spacious, clean, and well-furnished. They provide face and body towels, as well as beach towels, an iron and ironing board, a comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, soap, and shampoo. A safe is also available. You can refill filtered water from a fountain as much as you like. I recommend booking your island transfers in advance to secure a spot at your desired time. They offer paid activities (water sports) which we didn't partake in, and free activities (cocktail and soap making workshops)."

"The staff friendliness is just amzing 10/10. Excellent Service.Our room had amazing view of the sea and opposite resort called Gayana. Dinner: Only Buffet option is available and its about RM167/person +taxes. The spread are fairly good and it is delicious. Though they do have 2 more different Restaurant in the island,Japanese and fine dining. Breakfast: Included in the room price. Menu changes daily. I have nothing to complaint about the room,for us its comfortable.All rooms have exactly the dane Designs the only difference is where it is located. You are paying for the view. Activities: For me I think 3 days 2 nights are perfect to spend your time here, swimming by the pool,kayaking,snorkling,Jungle trekking, visiting the private beach. 1 hour complimentary use of snorklinh masks. I like the public guests showers and towel provided.Very convinient. One thing that I would like to comment is the boat fees are relatively very expansive.15 mins speedboat per person one way cost about Rm80+taxes..Just return trip cost RM170++ per person. This is not even including island conservation fees and tourist fees. All this added fees makes the Hotel cost more expansive. Because a boat trip to nearby or same Island cost only Rm40. GAYANA ECO RESORT provided inclusive/complimentary return boat fees. I hope the Management can improve this because we as Guests are going to spend more money on F&B and at the Bar. Last but not least I would like to compliment the service and staffs in thsi Resort I think they did such an amazing job. Overalö the Resort is beautiful andclose to the nature."

"Everything at the finest..seriously all the amenities n supplies in the room was superb and all new..staff was polite n friendly..food ordered from room service dpmt was on point n affordable..look at the picture attached..can full up at least 2 person per plate.. The place also near to esplanade kudat..around 2 minutes from hotel."
