"My family came to Qinhuangdao to send my younger brother off to school. We stumbled upon this hotel while searching for family rooms on Xiaohongshu. We decided to check in with a sense of apprehension, and it exceeded our expectations.
The staff were incredibly friendly. Seeing that our booked room wasn't big enough for four of us, they enthusiastically recommended and even offered us a more suitable room.
The hotel is also incredibly stylish, both the exterior and interior. The rooms have smart home systems, and the window opens to a view of the beach and ocean. For those who love taking in photos, this is sure to be a photogenic spot.
Finally, the little details are incredibly well-thought-out. For example, upon check-in, the staff provides an ID card holder, the bathroom has a scale and a platform, the bedroom has an air purifier, and the hotel also provides daily essentials (including sunscreen).
Highly recommended, and refills are available."

The hotel is conveniently located just 3km from Shijiazhuangbei Railway Station and 36km from Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport. The closest major public transportation, Jiefangguangchang Metro Station, is only 700m away. This hotel is located near many of Shijiazhuang's attractions including Shijiazhuang Wanlimiao Pedestrian Street Third Lantern Festival, Hebei Art Center and Hebei Art Center Grand Theater. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. This hotel is the usual choice for a large number of business travelers.
"The hotel is located in a shopping mall, which makes dining and shopping very convenient. It's only about 600 meters from the subway, a 5-minute walk for me.
Service: Pretty good. There's a self-service washing machine, but you need to bring your own detergent and washing powder.
Facilities: It took me a while to figure out how to use the air conditioner. The water dispenser is quite good, but it only offers 5°C free electricity (presumably for cooling the water).
Environment: The room was very cool, though I'm not sure if it's because it's north-facing or something else. It was a bit humid, however."

"Five-star review! The Genting Prince Apartment's cozy family suite was an excellent stay, especially perfect for family trips. The room featured two 1.8m large beds, offering ample space for a family of four without feeling cramped. The bedding was soft, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. The bathroom was equipped with a universal faucet, making washing up and cleaning vegetables incredibly convenient and practical. All windows in the apartment had mosquito screens installed, so we could open them for ventilation in the summer without worrying about bugs—a very thoughtful detail. Disposable toothbrushes, as well as bathing and personal care products, were all provided and clean, so we didn't need to bring our own. The apartment environment was quiet and tidy, with complete facilities. It's definitely our top choice for accommodation when traveling and sightseeing. We'll be staying here again next time we visit Chongli."

"This hotel has both prominent pros and cons:
First, the pros:
1. Located in Hetou Old Street, it's quiet yet central, with an excellent location. You can return to your room anytime you get tired from exploring, no matter how late you stay out.
2. The hygiene is five-star standard! The housekeeping staff work incredibly hard; the entire floor is milky white, and they have to squat to wipe it clean! After eating fruit in the room, I made sure to clean up the juice myself.
3. A variety of free snacks, fruits, and beverages are provided with great sincerity and high quality, not just for show.
Now, the clear cons:
1. The hotel's room types are very confusing. The same company has rooms spread across different guesthouses, and there's a big difference in room size and amenities. Guests from the宿集 (Suju) cannot use their key cards to enter and exit the scenic area, even though they check in at the same front desk and eat breakfast in the same area. This is very inconvenient. The welcome fruits were also just brought over in a paper bag.
2. The entire hotel has almost no accessibility for people with disabilities. My elderly parents and children booked a twin room, but it turned out to be far from the main building and had no elevator. My parents have mobility issues, and it was raining those two days, which made it extremely inconvenient.
3. Since there's no restaurant, breakfast is served by portion. Although the dishes are plentiful, half of them are cold by the time they reach the table, which significantly reduces their taste.
4. The soundproofing in the room is poor. I heard a machine humming very early, and only on the second day did I realize there was a laundry room next door. Footsteps outside the door sounded as clear as if they were inside the room, which was quite startling!
Based on my actual experience, it was a mixed bag. I hope Hetou Old Street thrives and the hotel continues to improve!"

"The B&B is located right inside the Xueluju Hotel in Thaiwoo Ski Town, and you can navigate directly to the entrance. Parking is convenient; if you become a town member, you get free parking, and the underground garage is heated. We booked a two-bedroom, one-living room suite with two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms, ensuring privacy. The kitchen is fully equipped, perfect for making a simple breakfast. The room also came with a washing machine and dryer, and the shower gel and shampoo were from a good brand, which I really appreciated. The butler-style service was particularly noteworthy—very attentive. The room itself was clean, tidy, and very warm; despite it being over -20 degrees Celsius outside, it was a cozy 25 degrees inside. Although its location isn't directly above the ski rental hall and lacks a view, it's very quiet at night. Plus, it's only a two-minute walk to the slopes once you're geared up."

"This stay experience exceeded expectations! The location of the homestay is very good, travel is very convenient, and the convenience store around is complete. The room was clean and tidy, the hygiene was particularly in place, the bedding was soft and comfortable to sleep, the bathroom was separated from wet and dry, and the hot water supply was stable. The supporting facilities are complete, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, small appliances are all easy to use, the details are warm and atmospheric, and the photos are very good. The compound and apartment are both very nice. Check-in was not difficult for us but only because we used WeChat and spoke Mandarin. Amenities were sufficient, though the kitchen lacked a microwave. The kitchen initially also lacked cooking supplies but our host provided them upon our request. The host is very responsive on WeChat. The compound has a playground and a few shops, and there are plenty of small restaurants just outside the compound. The location of the compound is right across the Chaobai river from Beijing, very close to one of the three bridges in the area. Crossing the bridge into Beijing by car requires passing a border check station which is slightly inconvenient as a foreigner since you will likely be required to go into the station to register every time. However, after the first crossing, subsequent crossings were very fast for us (1-2min processing time) and our rideshare drivers waited for us with no problems. Most of the time, the compound is ~20-25min by car to LuCheng subway station in Beijing, which is currently the closest subway station to the compound. However, during the morning rush hour on workdays, the border check station going into Beijing will have traffic jams up to 30+min. A rideshare (DiDi or Hello Ride) to/from LuCheng subway station costs around 20-30CNY each way. There are also public buses that go directly to/from LuCheng subway station but they only run during rush hour, and passengers still have to get off at the border check station for processing. This border check station is currently a big inconvenience, but current road and subway constructions in the area may alleviate this inconvenience in the near future.
Currently, it is difficult to find short term apartment rentals that accept foreigners in/near Beijing, so this stay was great value for money, despite us having paid ~2-3x the cost of rent for locals, it was still priced below tiny rooms in most Beijing hotels.

Facilities are sufficient for our type of travel; that are trekking and Great Wall viewing. Location is excellent with easy access to different parts of the of the Great Wall. Breakfast and dinner were at the stay and the simple local cuisine of good food suited our taste buds .. Topping all is the extra mile service by the owner 崔老版 and his family. We had a beautiful and memorable time here

PauOHanlonI believe my friends and I spent Christmas eve here. Being an exchange student from England, far from home, and my friends and classmates from Latvia and Cambodia, we needed somewhere homely and comfortable to stay. This place was exactly what we needed.
We stayed here for one night in the middle of winter as part of our road trip from Beijing to Wutaishan, following the sections of the Great Wall. We turned up after dark, we were welcomed with a big smile and slept with ease after the long drive.
In the morning I woke up early, found a spot in the courtyard garden and opened my Christmass cards. The owners dog immediately rolled over to be petted and for the next hour I had good company, drank tea and enjoyed the peace.
The owners awoke to find me outside, probably thought I was a ****** and so, immediately lit their fire in the garden. They saw me drinking tea so got the iron kettle boiling over the heat of the flames. My mates awoke to this and joined me and the boss by the fire. The outside temperature was negative, but we were warm, happy and ready for the day ahead - exploring Baishishan. The boss also showed us his great tea collection.
I want to thank the owners for a short but great stay and I highly recommend. I would like to come back in spring to see their courtyard in full bloom.

Location: this is a one-minute walk from the Middle Gate / entrance to the Jinshanling Great Wall (the best location for an early start as the gate opens as early as 4-5am) and has great value for money compared to other farmstays or hotels with this proximity to the entrance.
Cleaniness: spacious and clean room with all the necessary amenities, though most are single-use so bring your own if you would like to be environmentally-conscious. The bathroom also had only a half-door so there was a chance that water from the showerhead may spill out a bit.
Service: the host was super friendly and knowledgeable. Ms. Li is able to tell you about the best hiking paths, hiking time, and ways to get around / get back. She can also help you arrnage transport to nearby Gubei Watertown or tell you how to get back to city centre Beijing if you ask. As all farmstays do they have their own restaurant that can cook just about any typical home-cooked meals (and they are flexible with portions and pricing, depending on the size of your group). There is a small shop area at reception if you need some last-minute supplies for the Great Wall (food and drinks mostly).
100% recommended for those who wish to get an early start to the Great Wall with a decent night's sleep and some comfort meals.

Guest UserJust a 2-minute walk from the Great Wall ticket office. The room was clean, and the homemade fried dough sticks and steamed buns for breakfast were delicious! 😋 The owners and their family were so warm and helpful. When we called from the visitor center, the owner came to pick us up. And when we checked out, since the owners weren't home, the owner's mother even drove us back to the visitor center on her electric tricycle! 🤣 We'll definitely stay here again next time.

HuoshanCHENAmong all the B&Bs I've stayed at, this one easily ranks in the top three. If you factor in the price, it's definitely number one for value for money. The family running the B&B was incredibly welcoming and warm, especially the older folks who were so vibrant. To get from the B&B to the Jinshanling Great Wall hiking entrance, we asked the owner to call a car for us, and it was only 10 yuan per person one way, dropping us off directly. The minivan was much more comfortable than taking the shuttle bus, and it's also a short walk if you prefer. If I had to pick a downside, the toiletries were a bit basic, but considering the room rate, that's easily overlooked.

Guest UserThis was our first time visiting Aranya, and we chose this family-friendly vacation rental. Overall, we had a great stay.
The host was very kind, and the property manager was responsive and helpful. We stayed in Phase 6, which has a great location—just a short walk to the beach. The room even included beach toys for the kids, which they loved. It was also very close to the bike rental area and plenty of restaurants, making everything very convenient.
Since we arrived late on our first night, we noticed the bed sheets needed a little more attention, We contacted the host and property manager, and they quickly arranged for housekeeping to take care of it early next day. We really appreciated their prompt response. Hopefully, the Aranya housekeeping team can be a bit more careful in the future.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again.

Value for money accomodation. Very clean by a singaporean's standard
Location is directly opposite the fulong four season town物业服务中心 canteen, open for breakfast lunch and dinner, if you are too tired to head to chongli town after a full day of skiing. Boss lent me his card so i could get discount at the canteen. The location is ideal, a few stops by internal shuttle bus to fulong ski resort, shuttle bus stop is just downstairs. And it takes bout 10 mins to walk to chongli town where there is plenty of restaurants and ski equipment rental. I rented my entire set of ski equipment from the boss' shop, he gave me a good discount as i was staying for a long period. It is the cheapest rental i saw in the whole chongli town. And his ski equipment are newly purchased from french brand rossignol and very clean.
Other than that, boss also offered two way transport to chongli railway station and helped with booking of ski tickets, ski instructor etc. He even recommended a good sports massage place to me after i had sore muscles from skiing! Basically, you just need to book accomodation thru boss and he handles the rest for a stress-free ski holiday!

We were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section.
This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport).
The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists.

Wennuandexin1107I originally booked a one-bedroom, but to my surprise, the host gave me a two-bedroom instead. The room was clean and tidy, and the location was great, close to Pigeon Nest Park, Laohushi Park, and Liuzhuang Night Market. Downstairs in the complex, there's a morning market, a supermarket, and a seafood market, making it super convenient for groceries. There's also electric scooter rental available for 30 yuan a day, which helped us avoid traffic and parking hassles, making getting around even easier. The host was very welcoming and promptly helped us with any issues we had. All in all, it was a fantastic surprise experience – everything from dining to accommodation to entertainment was absolutely perfect!
