"I can understand not being able to open windows but the second window was frosty without being able to see outside. This hotel does not feel like a Japanese hotel at all. The so called ”sub-manager” with a shiny stone necklace around his neck and no uniform totally ignored my smile as I came back. When I asked if the umbrella was okay to borrow he barely even looked at my direction mumbling something. The staff members do not seem to wear uniforms or professional attire...which collar necklace confirms. You have a private room but cannot eat or drink in your own room?!! I remember about this happening in Chinese culture countries such as Singapore or Taiwan. Operating company is a ”Singapore” company.. so it makes sense. The sign would not be here if the company operated by a truly Japanese company."

"I chose this ryokan based on a few criteria: 1) I wanted a traditional ryokan, not a Western-style hotel; 2) it needed to be close to the station and Dotonbori for both shopping and nightlife; and 3) it had to be reasonably priced. Reasonable prices are generally hard to come by in Osaka, but this ryokan definitely won out in that category. I didn't opt for breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The room key is old-fashioned and heavy, and you have to hand it in every time you leave. A nice touch was the rice tea instead of standard tea bags. Overall, I was very satisfied."

"We had a great stay at Arashi Hotel Nambaminami! The location is very convenient—just one subway stop from Namba and only a short walk to the nearest station. There are plenty of useful amenities nearby, including a Daiso, supermarket, and a Lawson convenience store right across the street. The room was surprisingly spacious, especially by Japanese standards. We had three checked suitcases and still had plenty of room to open them all without feeling cramped. One feature we really appreciated was the in-room washing machine. The bathroom also doubles as a drying room, making it easy to do laundry during a longer trip without needing to find a laundromat. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value, a convenient location, and thoughtful amenities. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Osaka."

They even have a second door that leads to the main bedroom and then a balcony as well. Biggest hotel room I’ve stayed at in Japan for such a great price. The hotel staff are helpful and it’s about a 8-12 minute walk from nearby train stations. There is also a family mart and Lawson outside. The room also has a washing machine, microwave, fridge and kettle along Edith kitchen stove gas top."

There are plenty of convenience stores, supermarkets, and local shops nearby, making daily life very convenient. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Osaka."

"really enjoyed our stay here! the location was probably the best part — literally a few minutes’ walk to ebisucho station and right next to tsutenkaku tower, with lots of restaurants, convenience stores and shops around. super convenient for exploring osaka. 🤍 the room was clean, comfortable and had enough space for our luggage. staff were also really friendly and helpful. the only downside was that the bathroom was quite small, but honestly, that’s pretty common with hotels in japan 😅 overall, a really good stay for the price. would definitely consider staying here again if i’m back in osaka!"

"It was a 25-minute drive from the airport, and I only realized after arriving that it didn't have a hot spring. I purely didn't read the description carefully; when I booked, I saw the Japanese-style photos and assumed it would. The facilities are very basic. What I regret even more is that I added breakfast when checking in and was asked to pay immediately. I've never seen such a perfunctory meal; not only was the food simple, but it was also incredibly stale. Even the most basic rice seemed leftover from the day before, and the rice cooker was dirty. Their business practices felt very 'mainland Chinese' – they asked guests to post positive reviews online in exchange for a doll. In the end, even my child said it wasn't worth giving a good review and willingly gave up the doll. I'd recommend this place to travelers looking for accommodation within a 30-minute drive, but if you want to relax and properly enjoy the first or last day of your trip, you should probably skip this one."

It would be even more perfect if the room was a bit bigger or if there were more kitchen utensils, but overall, I'd still recommend it and would consider staying again."

The room is relatively big for a Japan apartment, enough for 2 pax but gets a little squeezy for travellers with 2 luggage. The water temperature is a little frustrating though, as it gets hot and cold randomly and takes awhile for it to turn from cold to hot. The toilet is not to our liking, it’s yellowish in color and just doesn’t feel clean. Other than that, everything else is relatively ok.

This location was my last of my trip in japan and it left me a very good impression. I got to talk with various types of people and the owner is very friendly too. He is very efficient in the way he manages this hostel and it is admirable. As per usual, hostels in japan really never disappoint, the layout of this hostel is like living in an actual Japanese house remodelled into a co-living space for 10, you can tell from the kitchen and the bathroom, it was clean, very lovely and homey. There is also a very nice nearby park where many locals do their routines like cycling, running, camping. It was very enjoyable to observe the lifestyle there, I also went to the onsen 18 minutes away by walking. I would say this location is a lovely experience especially for understanding a little of the local's every day life. Plus, a great stay to meet all sorts of travellers. And the owner is lovely to talk to, I love it here, I'll come back again if I can! The tomato theme is just part of the appeal! Aesthetic and comfortable, there's a tomato room at lv3 haha he said over 100+ tomato themed collections!

Stayed here as a solo traveller and first time using capsule hotel. I picked this place because of the good reviews and because its women only which felt safe. The capusle bed itself was decent size, although it did get hot sometimes (visisted April 24-26) but it had everything else! They provided cute pjs, tea/coffee, toiletries, towel etc so I did not need to bring too much. It was about a 14 mins walk to the main Nanba station but it wasn't a problem for me. Self check-in and check-out was easy, my room was quiet even with 4-6 girls (I am a light sleeper so I was worried I would not be able to sleep but I did manage to get some winks).

The unit is super clean and complete, all that me and my daughter need are already here. Free WiFi, can even airplay the Tv with mobile phone for a better screen. Bed is sizeable for 2 people , and extra pull out sofa just in case added member. Shoe racks , big wardrobe, toiletries compete, kitchen utensils , pots and pans, rice cooker, microwave , kettle and washing machine are all new and easy to use. Life supermarket is only 5 minutes walk away. We never took the Metro, the place is basically in the central of places we wanted to go by foot within 30 minutes circumference. We had a wonderful taste of living locally.👍👍

An excellent apartment that I would absolutely stay again. Spacious enough for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The whole process is hands-free and entry is all via access codes, so you need to read the instructions that are emailed to you and there are no cards or keys to lose. It's really clean, and very modern inside. It has fast internet with Wifi as well as Wired included in the room which is rare. The metro station is just around the corner as well as the JR station and there is a small but convenient 7-11 opposite. It has everything you should possibly need included the washing machine (which they even provided washing powder) and there is a drying rack that you can place on the balcony to dry your clothes. It's far enough away from the centre to avoid the touristy part of the city, but close enough with the metro to take 10-15 mins to be in the heart of the bright lights, shopping and usual tourist traps.

The room we got was a double futon on the east room upstair, as we love the traditional Japanese style. The small space has all the convenient with shared space in common area, small kitchen, bathroom and washer and dryer in the same room. Everything were tidy and functionally used all the space avail. Great water pressure and temp for the shower. The host thought of everything and provided every information avail for us tourist to use. Distance is not too far from Rinku-town station. Only cons (out of everyone control) the stair leading to the station has no elevator, which will be challenging for people with large suitcase.
