Overall, a great experience! The hygiene was good, and the shared bathrooms had separate wet and dry areas with consistent hot water. The common areas had a great atmosphere, perfect for meeting interesting fellow travelers. The facilities were comprehensive, and the price was affordable, making it ideal for solo travelers or small groups of friends.

The environment is fantastic, especially the location. It's incredibly close to Fuzimiao, right next to the Fuzimiao Grand Market. Getting to Laomendong, the Fuzimiao Qinhuai Scenic Belt, Jiangnan Gongyuan, or Bailuzhou Park is super convenient – all within a 10-minute bike ride. The atmosphere here is also excellent with plenty of public areas (and charging points!). I didn't take photos of the rooms, focusing mainly on the public spaces, which include a dedicated drying area. Plus, there's an elevator and shared showers and restrooms.

Had a hard time finding the hotel since I thought the whole building was Mercure’s but besides that everything was super smooth. They gave me a towel and slippers which was pretty nice. The staff explained how the hostel works and guided me to the room. The room was spacious and there were a usb outlet besides the EU and Chinese ones, which was pretty nice. There was a place to hang our towel in each bed space. The bed was a tad bit stiffer than what I like but nothing terrible. Now the biggest downside was the bathroom. It stinked pretty bad. I mean, really bad. It felt like a public toilet. It seemed to be that the cleaning lady didn’t know how to wash a bathroom because I got to the bathroom right when the person was finishing the job and it still smelled badly. I was glad my stay was pretty quick otherwise it would be unbearable.

The bed was good and comfortable. Headroom of the bed is excellent. Location is excellent, close to eatery outlets and right at the centre of city. Only a small locker is available I was lucky enough to get a bed with slightly larger locker which can fit my backpack. But other locker are small, which can hardly fit a backpack. Only two bathrooms and two toilet available. It is indeed challenging when everyone is queueing. Also, washing machine is available, but no dryer is available. In overall, it is good place to stay.

I rarely find hostels like this; it was so comfortable and reassuring 😭 The hostel owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel almost embarrassed. She spoke so gently and thoughtfully, making me feel right at home. I chatted with her for a long time; she even lent me her umbrella when she mentioned it might rain, and offered me fruit from the table. She also recommended some good restaurants 😋. The room was spacious, incredibly clean and tidy, with a wonderful atmosphere. The cats were very friendly, and the location was great—there were breakfast stalls right outside, giving it a lively, local feel. It was a very comfortable stay, truly the best trip I've ever had. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance! I hope the hostel owner recognizes me then, hahaha~

At the cusp of spring and summer, as I turned 21, I embarked on my journey to explore the south. From Wuxi to Suzhou, then Shanghai to Hangzhou, my adventure culminated in Nanjing, and I'm so glad it did. I chose this hostel for its beauty and cleanliness, but it offered so much more than just a pretty and tidy space. It added laughter, humor, respect, and order to my trip. Each city nurtures a different way of life, and Nanjing's welcoming embrace made me feel exceptionally comfortable. Many hostels online boast old board games, unused musical instruments, and a less-than-young crowd. But here, the instruments are played, the glasses are polished, and the people are full of life. Even the worn board games are infused with energy. People clink glasses, gather around the microphone, and joyfully express themselves – that's what being young is all about. This is my dream hostel, where there's respect, seasoned travelers, peers, dreams, and anxieties. But it's precisely these emotions that can't weigh down the young spirit. From the rooftop balcony, I overlooked the street, with lively music drifting up from below. The clinking or gentle sipping of glasses, the well-used board games, and the chatter of people – it all made for an incredibly vivid day of my 21st year. THE BEST [FEMALE] HOSTEL TO EXIST!!! It has everything a girl needs, super clean, smells great, quiet, just feels like a girls sleepover where everyone are strangers. The employees are very kind that they will try to explain in English if you're not Chinese speaker, but do understand not very fluent, but very informative already. They would tour you around the whole hostel explaining everything so you have a smooth staycation even if it's a day. There are rules for follow, which is understandable on why it's the cleanest managed hostel. You would need to make your own bed, it took a while, but if unable you can always ask the receptionist to help, so don't be scared to ask for help, it took me 10min because it was just sheets with limited space. Before check out, you would need to strip the sheets and put it in the basket indicated outside. You do only get a disposable towel and toothbrush and toothpaste, so make sure to bring your towel if staying many nights. Bathrooms are spacious, I've never seen such big bottles are body wash and shampoo ever, very generous and smells nice. You have a section to blowdry your hair with a mirror, as well as comb and hair brush if needed. Detergent is included in a paid laundry service. You can either air dry or use dryer, lots of hangers to use. There are designated makeup areas to get ready with mirrors that has lights. The common room: there are plenty of chairs and tables to use, or using the couch near the projector is an option. Sometimes they play a drama on the projector and sometimes it's quiet. The kitchen is located near the receptionist and in common room. You have a fridge, microwave, water dispenser (both hot and warm), cutlery, plates, bowls are available, tea bags, every night they have a plate of fruit which you can eat too. One thing I love is the locker space, normally you get a small locker which wouldn't really fit a cabin suitcase in, but this one, you can fit 2 cabin suitcase that is how big the locker is, so nice, and there is a rack in there too. Very spacious. Rooms are very spacious too. Bed is nice firm, not on the soft side if you prefer soft bed, pillow is a bit cloudy soft, but still ok. Location is great too, located around plenty of foods, few minute walk from the metro station. There's a McDonald next door too. Definitely coming back here if I'm in Nanjing alone next time.

The location is good. It takes 1' only to the metro. The staffs are friendly, they helped me a lot. Just 1 thing I don't like that there are nothing in the bathroom and restroom. If you want tissues or shampoo, you have to come and ask from the receptionist

Choosing Narrow Meets Youth Hostel for my trip to Suzhou was absolutely the right decision! The location is super convenient for getting around, and the interior is clean and elegant, with a really comfortable atmosphere. The beds are tidy and comfy, with great privacy, and the common areas are spacious and inviting. The owner is incredibly warm and friendly, treating guests with kindness, and even offers thoughtful recommendations for touring routes. The hygiene is top-notch, facilities are complete, and the price is excellent value for money. My stay was a perfect 10/10, making it my go-to choice for accommodation when traveling. Highly recommended!

Very nice hostel. The room was good and so quiet. The girl at the reception was so nice and speak english. I got the room for me alone, it was only 3 chineses girls doing pictures who slept in the hostel. The location is so great as it close to the main touristic place. The toilet was very clean. Nothing bad to declare.
