The hotel was but really needs some overhaul to bring it up to speed. Upon entering we learned we had been bumped from a king to two queens.... not a deal breaker but we do enjoy snuggling in a large knd bed. Our reservation clearly stated king but the front desk said that they would have to charge an additional fee to move us to a king. Not worth it for a single night! The room was OK, but nothing outstanding. The bath was less than expected, with missing tiles, moldy caulking around the bathtub, and the cabinets in the bathroom looked pretty beat up... not sure someone hadn't taken a knife to it at some point. But the most disgusting item was the rusty door jamb... It really looked bad, and nothing a couple of coats of paint couldn't help. The beds were comfy and the water pressure was fine, and the breakfast bar was well stocked and actually surprisingly tasty. Would I stay here again? Not likely but it was fine for one night.

The location is right off the interstate and the hotel is new. excellent rooms and great beds with choice of pillows - They have a restaurant with a lounge and breakfast buffet which were open surprise? we decide not to eat but had curbside at Denny`s next door. The down side is there are no other dining options at this exit and all the gas station are off brands

We stayed here without planning for it in advance; our travel plans changed that necessitated an early departure. I was thoroughly impressed by the staff member at the front desk being so helpful, and even more impressed by our room. When you stay at a Motel 6, you shouldn’t be expecting a room on par with what you might find at the Ritz-Carlton. That said, the room we got might as well have been Motel 6’s equivalent of a penthouse suite. It was immaculately spotless, and the 50” TV mounted on the wall lended itself well to the ambiance. It’s clear that the proprietors of this particular Motel 6 care about the little things, and it is easily one of the best Motel 6’s we have had the pleasure of staying at. I am only sorry we did not get the chance to stay longer, or have the opportunity to make use of the kitchenette in our room. The only negative observation I have to note is that the Wi-Fi signal in our part of the property was not strong. We stayed in the furthest corner from the front office, so perhaps that was to be expected. However, for a clean, comfortable room, I will gladly sacrifice reliable Wi-Fi.

New hotel very clean . The staff was amazing . They offer you cookies at check in. ( Take it , there good) the rooftop pool was very nice with a great view to downtown . The food in restaurant is pricey but worth ever penny ....absolutely amazing !! The room itself was also amazing .I Can not say a bad thing about this hotel bc it's perfect .

4r5tt6rr55The staff here truly has everything organized and done in real time as opposed to disarray and multiple things being piled up due to either lack of staff or lack of worth ethic shown in many young people today. Every staff member I saw or dealt with truly showed effort and you could really tell that they actually cared about what kind of job they did. If you’re an older gentleman like me you will love this place because it has “it”. aThis is the way a business is supposed to run in America, as you truly can not just see but feel the compassion to help you coming from each employee which makes this place truly feel like a home awayfrom home. So fear of, stay here a feel welcome, relax and get one of the best night’s sleep uin a hostel you’ve set hard. The little things gtruly do make a huge impact on the environment of a place and this is an “emerald” in the rough haha. You will easily see why this has been one of the longest running hotels here in Abilene. P.S. I’m not condoning this but if you youngsters truly want to experience the night life in Abilene there us a liquid store and. 24/7 Whataburger both within about 50 steps of the front entrance. Hangover Friendly hotel for sure for the young and at the same time peaceful for those of us that have grown out of that stage. THE EMERALD INN TRULY HAS IT ALL!!!!! Sincerely, John Brady Pair
