recently had the pleasure of staying at the Al Hamra Village Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, for a period of 3 to 6 weeks. I was very impressed with the hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay in the area. Great welcoming! Mr. Shehara was a great help, he made the stay 10 times better with a smile on his lovely face He choose the best room for me with a beautiful seaview and balcony!!! I highly recommend this hotel price to experience Thank Mr shehara for the great experience

This place is a gem for families. Wish we booked for longer but due to our schedule we only spent 2 nights here. The location is beautiful the staff are friendly. We stayed with bed & breakfast which was lovely. The other guest were also very nice. My daughter where’s the burquini and felt very comfortable in the environment. I on the other hand do not but also felt comfortable. We were at the hotel in early July so it was super hot. The only critical thing was when on the balcony you cannot keep your room door open due to the moisture of the sea. Otherwise excellent I would definitely recommend

The resort is amazing. No doubt it is one of the best resort in RAK. We spent the new years and our anniversary in The Cove Rotana and we had a great time.We were taken care off really well with all special treatments. The food in cinnamon is amazing and the staff in the resort are so friendly. As we checked in our room, we saw the room given to us did not have a balcony nor a bathtub. We requested for an upgrade as we had paid a huge amount for the NYE. A staff named Tara helped us to get the upgrade really quick. The housekeeping guy was the sweetest. He decorated our bed well and also put a board with the anniversary wishes!! Also there was a staff in Breakers Beach Bar named Min. He is an amazing guy. I had ordered for a mojito and informed him it needs to look good as it was for social media. He made sure he gave me the best one and also suggested I should opt for strawberry mojito. He then said it was not possible for him to give the mojito in the glass as we were not having at the bar instead we were at the beach resting on the sun beds. When he saw I was a little upset he let us have the glass taken to the beach. Such an amazing guy!!! Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend this resort to all who would love to have a great time with family and friends.

The sink in the bathrooms is not the best both quality and sanitary wise Excellent facilities and good customer service. Very good handling of the staff at the breakfast time, although always busy, the waiters never leave any guest unattended.

The hotel is packed with tourist… the front desk initially give me a double bed even my booking says king bed with sofa. When we are already relaxing in our room after a long drive, someone from maintenance came and fix the design at the top of the headboard. They should be doing this before the guest checked in. Such an inconvenience! When I reported this to the front desk, they said they will check but never came back to me. The next day, I was asking for the help of the lifeguard to open the umbrella but he refused and told me to ask the help of other staff even though the umbrella is just behind him! We stayed to a lot of hotels and this is the first time I’m experiencing this poor service! The only good thing in this hotel is the breakfast and the houskeeping. They are well trained and nicer compared to other departments.

It feels good in every way

Very disgusted and disappointed with my overall stay. The rooms were all very dirty, stained bed sheets (yellow), dirty curtains, cloudy pool that I did not even touch, and the list goes on (check photos for reference). Keep in mind this was planed as a birthday getaway, and my expectations for a 4 star hotel would be at least clean standards with a clean/clear pool. There were no towels at all, I kept on calling 3 times to request for towels, they take forever and give less than required. Furthermore, the service is really poor, as I asked for somebody to come clean the pool and clean the outside, as there was MUD from the rain, which was disgusting, and they never did anything about it. There was also MOLD on some walls, along in the ceiling which is toxic to inhale, I do not understand how they can posses a risk of toxic air for their clients, seem like they do not care. After checking out, I informed the staff that I was not happy with my stay, and somebody gave me their number saying to forward the images and a simple ”sorry” that honestly means nothing to me, as I will NEVER return back to this nightmare. The price does not match the quality of this 3 bedroom villa, and I would highly suggest to look out for other places if you want to sleep in a clean place, not feel like you are in a 2 star hotel. I really do not know how hotels as such exist with 4 stars, as per my experience, this has never happened to me.

We have recently returned from the most wonderful break at the Double tree Hilton Hotel in Marjhan Island, our second time in this relaxing environment. We had a night flight from Bham and landed about 8am in Dubai, we had the complimentary hotel transport from and to the airport and i had emailed ahead of time to ensure this was secured. At check in we had to wait a couple of hours for a room, but we new this from our previous visit so had packed swim stuff in our hand luggage but after wandering around and grabbing some food this wasn’t a huge issue for us. There is a tax to pay on check in approx £60. We opted to stay in the bay view rooms, having been upgraded to these on our first visit we didn’t want to miss out on the spacious room and the wonderful views. I had emailed ahead requesting a higher floor and we were fortunate to be granted this with Ade our brilliant housekeeper looking after us. These rooms are incredible with a rainforest shower and huge bath. Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries are replaced daily, as are towels, robes are also available. With these rooms there is a separate dining room, with a huge buffet choice at every meal. There are themed nights of German and Asian foods but otherwise international - and plentiful, as a vegetarian i had many options. The service within the restaurant was unbelievable with glasses being topped up and service constantly. We would like to mention several staff who made our dining experience - Maisie who makes the most lovely omelettes and listens when you say ‘well cooked’, Sailu and Ganesh went above and beyond with refreshments and Tim who checked at each meal that we had what we needed. There is a traffic light system advising when there are the busiest and quieter times. We ate breakfast at the Meze restaurant several times as this alternative was included too. There is the option to eat at the speciality restaurants with a deduction 60AED per person at each meal. We ate at The Anchor a couple of times and would definitely recommend the food, and the lunchtime buffet at the brasserie was plentiful and all included - there are so many food options. We sunbathed on the beach most days and beach towels can be obtained daily. Sun loungers and umberella’s were plentiful, we did secure our early as we are early risers enjoying the quietness of the morning. The beach is heavenly and the sea is beautiful. We purchased an inflatable from the site shop which cost approximately £35. Seems a lot but well worth the money as we opted for the one that allows the body to float in the water whilst supported, this enabled us to remain cool in the heat and lie in the sea reading and relaxing. We took towel pegs but these aren’t really needed as not windy. Worth taking goggles and the sea is crystal clear and fish are visible. One recommendation is to take a walk outside of the hotel. This brand will not disappoint every time. The hotel is in a good environment and the service is in place, even if there are many guests, it will not affect the quality of service. The room is spacious and the mattress is very comfortable.
