"Booked at the last minute given changes in plans. Great for a getaway, definitely need a vehicle as the trek up the property is challenging (as is wheeling baggage!). "Ήρθαμε τυχαία στην Αμαράντε, μάθαμε να εκτιμούμε το όμορφο μέρος και να βάλουμε το μεγάλο ξενοδοχείο γρήγορα. Η τοποθεσία είναι υπεροχή, με πολύ όμορφη θέα στην εκκλησία και την ιστορική γέφυρα. Το κτίριο από το 16ο. Οι αιώνες και ο εκτεταμένος κήπος κ.λπ. είναι φανταστικά. Το ποσοστό επιδόσεων της τιμής είναι επίσης αλήθεια, τουλάχιστον κατά την προεδρία. Το spa και το γυμναστήριο καθώς και το εστιατόριο (δεν ήμασταν στο εστιατόριο Michelin) είναι όμορφα ή συνιστώμενα. Η υπηρεσία και η φιλία είναι πραγματικά υπέροχα. Το ρεσεψιονιστήριο και το μπαρ φύγουν με μέγεθος και περιθώριο."

"Covelo …The original rooms , accommodation was in an excellent location , close to all the local amenities and attractions. The local bus depot was just around the corner and within easy walking distance. The cobblestone street itself had lots of bars ,restaurants , bakeries and shops, and is in fact , over 1,000 years old. The accommodation was very well presented. It was spotless clean and had all the facilities that would be needed for our short stay. The room was cleaned on a regular basis and toiletries and towels replaced. The small balcony allowed us to sit outside with our coffee in the morning, and enjoy a glass of wine outside in the evening. Our host Joao greeted us when we arrived. He was very friendly and informative. He spent some time with us, highlighting the local activities, places of interest and recommending local bars and restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble for Joao. We would most definitely go back to Amarante, we were very happy with our room, and would also stay in the same accommodation . We found that not only was the accommodation reasonably priced, but the same must be said for everything else in the city, including the food and the wine."
