No. 6 of 4-Star Select Hotels in Shanghai"This hotel is like a time capsule from the 90s. The carpets, decor, colours, everything has been meticulously maintained over the years. It feels like a nostalgic trip back to a bygone era in Shanghai's biggest boom period.
Hotel staff are efficient and friendly. The beds/sheets were nice and the rooms very extremely clean. Within 2 minutes of walking you can step into the ”old” Shanghai."

"The room had excellent natural light, was very spacious, and the overall environment was great. The lobby featured a high-tech air purifier, which looked quite impressive. They offered free washing machines and dryers, which was incredibly convenient – I could wear my sweaty clothes again the same day. The facilities were comprehensive. The hotel staff provided exceptional service; when I had to go out while my laundry was washing, the front desk even helped me dry my clothes, which was a truly thoughtful gesture. The room rate wasn't high, offering excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance."

"I've stayed here before and found the breakfast and service to be excellent. This time, I chose the same hotel again, and it was just as good – affordable, hassle-free, and convenient. The room was quite spacious, there's a delivery room for parcels, and the cleaning staff was very friendly. The food delivery robot even brings meals right to your room, which is super convenient and keeps things neat.
What truly stood out was when my suitcase wheel broke. I bought new wheels and wanted to borrow a screwdriver from the front desk to fix it. Instead, the front desk called over someone from the engineering department. To my surprise, the engineer took the time to replace all four wheels for me, and there was no extra charge! This level of service was incredibly impressive. It really shows how warm and attentive hotel service in China can be. I'm truly grateful."

"Booked a windowless room to catch an early flight, but it actually had a window facing the corridor. Light seeped through even with the lights off, which was genuinely unsettling. The room smelled musty, and there were water stains on the ceiling and air conditioning vent. It wasn't soundproof at all; I could clearly hear plumbing noises and wind from the corridor. I was even woken up at 2 AM by the conversation of two sisters next door. While a few bad reviews might just be picky guests, nearly a thousand negative reviews definitely have a reason. The only positive was the front desk lady, who was efficient, polite, and professional."

"Stayed at Da Zhong Airport Hotel and the biggest advantage of this hotel is definitely the convenience.
If you have an early flight, late arrival, or short transit, the location is extremely practical since it is directly connected to the airport area and very easy to access without needing extra transport.
The rooms are compact but functional for a short stay. Everything was clean and sufficient for resting before the next journey. While it’s not a luxury experience, it serves its purpose well for airport convenience.
Check-in was smooth and the overall process was straightforward. Despite being near the airport, the stay was relatively comfortable for a transit hotel.
