Nice place to stay. Rooms are clean and the space is quite big. It's 12 min walking far from the metro station (at least from line 2 that is the one that we used during our stay). They ”push” you a little bit to leave a review at the end. Still, the experience was nice.

Wonderful stay at The Langham Xintiandi, Shanghai. From check-in to check-out, the service was polished and attentive. The room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and impeccably clean, with a very comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom. The location in Xintiandi is fantastic — close to great restaurants, shopping, and easy access to the metro. Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection. This is a true luxury experience and well worth the price. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shanghai.

Stumbled on this place and honestly, it's a keeper. Location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the French Concession, 3 mins from South Shanxi Road subway. That line gets you everywhere, so you're connected to the whole city without paying central tourist prices. What really got me was the outdoor patio. In expensive Shanghai, that's a flex. The whole lobby and dining area feel super cozy and homey—almost like a US-style social hub. I noticed 90% of the guests were non-Chinese, so if you're looking for an easy place to chat with other travelers, this is it. Rooms are clean, efficient, and have a fun, big design that makes the space feel bigger than it is. Breakfast is included and actually good—freshly made Chinese and Western options, so you don't have to hunt for coffee and eggs in the morning. Staff are genuinely friendly. They'll give you honest food recs and even help with delivery requests if you're ordering anything. Best value I've found in this location. Already planning my next trip back. Stir-fried seasonal vegetables, alongside braised meats and nuts, offer a balanced and wholesome meal, preparing you for the day ahead. In the afternoon, I headed to the hotel's pool for a refreshing swim. The crystal-clear water shimmered with ripples. Underwater, the water enveloped my body, stretching my shoulders and back, relieving the fatigue from prolonged sitting. Switching to breaststroke, the kicking and pulling stretched my core and limbs, my heart and lungs rising and falling rhythmically. Sweat dissipated with the water, washing away all my accumulated weariness. After my swim, I moved to ”Xiji Gangjiu” to try some Cantonese dim sum. Each dish was a delight. Garlic oysters are nourishing and rich in protein, while spring onion chicken replenishes vital energy. Fresh shrimp and coriander dumplings are light and appetizing. Beef balls with choi sum provide excellent protein and dietary fiber, and the two-tone water chestnut cake is delightfully sweet and refreshing. The combination of seafood, poultry, vegetables, and grains was well-balanced—fresh, not greasy, and wonderfully wholesome. A dip in the 'azure waters' stretched my muscles and bones, a 'Cantonese feast' nourished my body, and the elegant room provided a sanctuary for my mind. I chose this established four-star hotel in Jing'an District for my business trip to Shanghai, primarily for its location. It's situated in the Caojiadu commercial area, within walking distance of Jing'an Temple and Zhongshan Park. Wanhangdu Road is right downstairs, making it convenient for dining and shopping. 🔊 **Soundproofing is a major flaw** This really needs to be complained about! I could clearly hear conversations from the next room, and at night, there was a frequent, very noticeable ”woo-loong woo-loong” noise in the room, which felt like it might be due to aging water pipes or air conditioning ducts. I'm not sure what it was, but it sounded like a tractor. If you're sensitive to noise, I recommend bringing earplugs. 🍳 **Breakfast is indeed plentiful** I have to praise the breakfast; the variety was excellent, with both Chinese and Western options. The live noodle station offered scallion oil noodles and mini wontons, which tasted great. The fruit section had red dragon fruit and wax apples, which is more generous than many hotels at a similar price point. The breakfast hours are long, which is great for late risers. 🏨 **Renovation is good, but it's clearly an older hotel** A The lobby and public areas are quite grand, and the room was spacious and bright with expansive views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedding was comfortable. However, the facilities clearly show that it's an older hotel, with some equipment noticeably aged. Nevertheless, the hygiene is well-maintained. 💁 **Front desk service is excellent** The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, check-in was swift, and requests were handled promptly. **Summary:** Great location, fantastic breakfast, and attentive service, but the soundproofing and aging facilities are definite drawbacks. Whether you get a good night's sleep might really depend on luck.

This summer, I brought my partner and child to Shanghai, and once again, I instinctively chose Atour for our accommodation! I've always trusted Atour's quality, and this stay was another perfect experience – so comfortable and reassuring. I have to specifically praise the hotel's fantastic location. It's truly unbeatable! The hotel is practically next door to the trendy, artsy old streets of Julu Road, Changle Road, and Fumin Road. Step outside, and you're immediately on tree-lined boulevards, creating such a wonderful atmosphere. It's right next to the super popular Moller Villa, which was incredibly convenient for taking photos with the kids. No long treks needed; we could walk to all the popular attractions nearby, making it perfect for daily strolls, taking the kids out, and just wandering around. The convenience for getting around and sightseeing was top-notch. What truly satisfied our whole family was Atour's signature Naked Cotton bedding! The quality honestly surpasses many other hotels. It's a pure, eco-friendly cotton fabric that's incredibly breathable – not stuffy or heavy, just wonderfully soft and cozy against the skin. There are no fancy extra materials, so the little one slept soundly without kicking off the covers. Our entire family had such a restful sleep every night. Overall, the hotel environment is clean and tidy, the service is thoughtful and attentive, the location is superb, and the comfort of the bedding is simply impeccable. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with family, this Atour is an excellent choice. It never disappoints, and it will definitely be my first pick again when I return to Shanghai!

Service: Before checking in, I read many reviews complaining about the check-in staff. I definitely experienced it myself. All the staff avoided eye contact; it was hard to find someone to help with check-in, and everyone seemed busy. There was a young man near the elevator entrance who suggested not standing there. He would just lower his head and walk away when he saw guests; I don't know what purpose it served to have someone standing there. The bellhop at the luggage storage was enthusiastic, but I suggest increasing the refrigerated storage space and training staff. They shouldn't advise guests to carry their refrigerated items with them when checking out, especially on such hot days; it's better to leave them in the air-conditioned hotel. The staff at the entrance who helped with luggage and opened car doors were polite, and their service was appreciated. Some of the hosts at the breakfast restaurant were very warm and friendly. Others were not, and some were only friendly towards Japanese guests. The chefs at the cooking stations were all excellent, and the food was delicious. Facilities: Older hotels always have shortcomings in their hardware. As soon as I exited the elevator on the guest floor, I smelled dust, and there was a musty smell in the room. The shower equipment was old and difficult to use, the washbasin was quite low, and the small magnifying mirror for makeup/removing makeup was broken; either you had to hold it up very high to see your face, or it would fall down and still not work. This can't be changed in the short term, so it needs renovation. During renovations, I suggest not installing mirrors facing the bed again. I slept very poorly at night. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was much better than I expected. There was no dust in the nooks and crannies, which was a pleasant surprise. Noise: The room was very close to the elevator, but surprisingly, there was not much noise, which was acceptable. However, there was a regular rumbling sound, which I suspect was the subway passing by; it was very noticeable. The sound disappeared after the subway stopped at night and reappeared in the morning. Overall, it was not a very pleasant experience, but I've tried it. I won't choose this hotel again.

This is a serviced apartment with a fantastic location. It's right across the street from Xintiandi and the subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient. There are tons of shopping malls and restaurants nearby, perfect for those who love to shop. The hotel staff were warm and friendly, always ready to help. Upon check-in, I received a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was very spacious and included a kitchen and living room. It was fully equipped with an oven, microwave, induction hob, sterilizer, and washing machine (though I didn't get to use them all). The 2-meter king-size bed had a mattress that was just right – not too soft, not too firm – and the high-floor street view was also excellent. On the downside, the bathroom facilities were a bit dated, with a non-smart toilet and a seat without soft-close hinges. The sink also drained slowly. Plus, there were some oversights in the cleaning; I actually found a T-shirt left by a previous guest on the back of a chair! I only stayed for one day, so I didn't get to experience the other hotel amenities. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel!

We were right on Huaihai Road commercial street, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The room was clean and cozy, and the newly replaced mattress was incredibly comfortable. The private bathroom had a great wet-dry separation and no unpleasant smells, and the complimentary toiletries were high quality. The 24-hour front desk was always responsive, and luggage storage was very convenient. To get this kind of location and quality at this price point is truly exceptional value for money.
