I came to Shanghai for business this time, and the most pleasant surprise was choosing the right hotel! 😊 The room was clean and comfortable, the bedding was just right – not too soft, not too hard – and the soundproofing was excellent. Even though I usually have trouble sleeping in new places, I slept soundly all night. From the window, I could see the old Shanghai streetscape, which was especially charming in the evening. I particularly want to commend the front desk staff (the young lady/gentleman). Their attitude was super nice! Seeing I was traveling alone, they proactively recommended some delicious local noodle shops nearby and even advised me on transportation routes. It was really heartwarming~ 💛 The value for money is outstanding. For this location, this service, and this level of cleanliness, I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai and will recommend it to my friends! My stay at the Hyatt Regency Shanghai Wujiaochang was absolutely perfect, all thanks to the wonderful service from our housekeeper, Serein! From the moment I booked, Serein proactively reached out to confirm my itinerary details and thoughtfully arranged a quiet, high-floor room based on my preferences. To my pleasant surprise, Serein also gifted me two days of complimentary buffet breakfast – the restaurant had a fantastic variety of dishes, ensuring a great start to my day. On my departure day, due to a flight delay, the front desk kindly arranged a late check-out until 2 PM, allowing me to relax and avoid any rush. The professionalism and warmth of the hotel staff made this stay incredibly comfortable. Next time I'm in Wujiaochang, this will definitely be my top choice!

The curtains don't close properly, letting light in. It's so noisy! Extremely noisy! I could clearly hear water running and people talking in the rooms on both sides. Someone was also smoking in the next room, and the secondhand smoke drifted over. What's most infuriating is that the 5th floor of the hotel is under renovation. The front desk sign stated that there would be no loud noise on weekdays from 12-2 PM, after 6 PM, and on holidays. Yet, on Saturday at 12:30 PM, the drilling started. When I complained to the front desk, they said it's a commercial building and they're allowed to renovate. I mean, seriously?? Is your front desk notice just for show?? After multiple complaints, they finally said they wouldn't work at noon, but then it started again at 2:30 PM. I originally booked this hotel to escape my own home renovations, and now I'm stuck in such a noisy hotel. It's truly infuriating!

My stay at Crowne Plaza Shanghai Fudan was absolutely perfect! The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to Fudan University. It's quiet and elegant, with a great ambiance. The room was clean and spacious, well-designed, and had excellent soundproofing. The bedding was comfortable, and a full set of toiletries was provided. The front desk staff were professional and welcoming, making check-in efficient and considerate. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, a good mix of Chinese and Western dishes, and tasted delicious. Overall, the facilities are well-maintained, and it's very convenient for getting around and dining. It's suitable for both business trips and short getaways. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai.

Overall, it's okay, but the service could use some improvement. For a double room, I was given four toothbrushes, but they were all cheap, B-grade ones, which shows a lack of attention to detail. The bathroom is quite small, probably only about one square meter. Taxis can't drop you off right at the hotel entrance; you have to get off at the security booth and walk in. There also doesn't seem to be many dining options nearby.

The biggest surprise was the free washing machine and dryer – a lifesaver for business travelers! There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, making late-night snacks super convenient. This is definitely the best value for money at this price point. I'll absolutely be staying here again on my next visit!

This is the most cost-effective hotel with the best environment I've stayed at in Shanghai. Shanghai itself is a very international metropolis, and this hotel has all kinds of foreigners. If you want to practice your English, you can chat with them. The hotel has a gym, a rooftop, and breakfast available, which I think is great. I'll probably stay here again in the future. Oh, and there's a really good Sichuan restaurant across the street! Their spicy chicken and sliced pork in hot chili oil are both delicious and affordable.
