Fantastic stay! The hotel is conveniently located, making it very easy to get around. The room was clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding and excellent facilities. The soundproofing was also good. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was quick and efficient. Housekeeping was meticulous, and there was plenty of hot water. The overall environment was quiet and pleasant. It offers great value for money and is my top choice for accommodation when traveling. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time. Highly recommended!

This summer, I took my grandson on a magical journey to Shanghai Disneyland, and as always, we chose the Grand Tower at Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai. It's always been my 'white moonlight' hotel, irreplaceable in my heart. As a classic Shanghai landmark hotel, its overall standard is consistently high. The environment, room facilities, service, and dining all offer a commendable comprehensive experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet had a surprising variety of options. My only slight regret is that the cream cakes, sashimi, and smoked salmon, which used to be available at breakfast, are no longer offered. I assume this might be due to menu adjustments. On the evening of our arrival, the temperature was quite high, and we checked in rather late. Front desk staff members Ella and Leia were warm and friendly, making us feel very comfortable. A special thank you to Ella, who carefully directed us towards the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Super Brand Mall, and also thoroughly explained the hotel's dining arrangements. Her service was comprehensive and thoughtful. I sincerely thank the hotel team for the excellent experience, and I look forward to continuing to encounter Shangri-La in various cities in the future!

The breakfast was good, and I appreciated having a gym and laundry room available. The soundproofing was decent too. My only minor complaint is that in the twin room, the bed near the window was directly in the path of the AC, which was a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything else was great. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, and it's super convenient to get to the Science and Technology Museum, East Library, East Museum, Century Park, and Dingxiang International.

I was really happy with the room layout; it had a separate living area with a sofa and desk, and then a bedroom, which made it feel very spacious. The view from the room was fantastic – I could enjoy the scenery whether I was on the sofa or in bed. Dining options nearby were plentiful and varied. The hotel is also less than a kilometer from the subway station. As someone who enjoys running, the best part was its proximity to the Lujiazui Water Ring (the greenway along the Yangjing Port River), which is a beautiful spot and perfect for a run. My only minor complaints are that the bathroom door didn't close properly, and there was nowhere to hang clothes to dry.

Facilities: The facilities are fully equipped and have everything you could possibly need. Hygiene: The hygiene is superb, spotlessly clean, and definitely up to star-rated hotel standards. Service: The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful. Seeing that we were a family of three, they upgraded our room for free to a more spacious and brighter one. Even though our child exceeded the height limit, they still provided free breakfast, which was really generous! This truly showcased the warmth and hospitality of Shandong people. Highly recommended! It's very close to nearby attractions and only a few hundred meters from the subway, making it super convenient for getting around. This is definitely the top choice hotel if you're visiting the Science and Technology Museum, Museum, Library, or Oriental Pearl Tower!

Our family was quite satisfied, and what we liked most was the spacious beds – two of them, one being 1.5 meters wide, which is really important for our family of four. The hotel also offers a washing machine and dryer, which is a big plus! The only downside is that the cleaning staff needs more training. The tissues ran out and weren't refilled the next day. Also, the next morning I woke up early to go for a run, while my wife and kids were still sleeping in the room. Around 8 AM, the cleaning lady knocked on the door, indicating she wanted to come in to clean. My wife and kids were still asleep and didn't hear her knock, but then she actually opened the door and came in! She must have seen the room was dark and realized people were still there, so she backed out. However, the knocking and opening of the door still woke up my wife and kids. My wife told me about this afterwards. I hope the hotel strengthens its training for the cleaning staff.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this hotel truly deserves one. 1. Initially, I booked a basic twin room. The hotel staff didn't say anything during check-in and just gave us a room at the very end of the corridor. When I called from the room to inquire, I was told that all rooms of this type are at the end, and we'd have to pay extra to upgrade if we wanted one in the middle. Since we were traveling with a child, shouldn't the hotel have asked during check-in if we were okay with an end-of-corridor room? That would have prevented this unpleasant experience. (I've been asked this at other hotels and have never stayed in an end-of-corridor room before). 2. The breakfast buffet selection was really limited. And to top it off, when I picked up two ginseng fruits, they were both rotten inside. 3. The upgraded room we paid extra for did have a very nice view. 4. I've stayed in many 5-star hotels that cost over 1,000 yuan! Usually, for breakfast, they either make you a coffee from the machine or ask if you'd like an Americano or a latte. This hotel, however, just poured an Americano from a pot without asking. First time I've ever seen that! In summary, I haven't stayed in many hotels in Shanghai so I don't have a direct comparison here. But compared to other 5-star hotels costing over 1,000 yuan in other cities, the overall experience was really poor.

This hotel is super convenient, just a 20-meter walk from Xiepulu Station on Metro Line 14. In the evening, you can take a five-minute stroll to the riverside and enjoy the night view of Yangpu Bridge. Dining options and convenience stores are also easily accessible. The front desk staff are really welcoming and always greet you warmly whenever you pass by. The room was clean and well-maintained, no issues there. For Shanghai, this hotel offers excellent value for money. Highly recommend!

This review starts with my check-in experience, specifically a conversation with the front desk. When I asked if the hotel had a self-service laundry facility, the front desk emphasized, 'We are a five-star hotel; five-star hotels don't have self-service laundry.' So, I will write this review based on my understanding of five-star hotel standards. First, upon arriving at the hotel, there were concierge staff standing at the entrance, but no one greeted us or helped us with our numerous bags, nor did they open the car door. We had to proactively greet the front desk staff when checking in. However, I must commend them for a staff member who brought us welcome tea. After check-in, the front desk only mentioned breakfast times and location, and it's only now that I remember there was also a complimentary late-night congee service that wasn't mentioned. Now, about the room. Before our arrival, we called the front desk to confirm a high-floor room with a view and requested the air conditioning be turned on in advance, as I'm very sensitive to heat. The front desk agreed, saying, 'We have central air conditioning, and it cools down very quickly.' However, when we arrived, the air conditioning in the room had not been turned on. I must say the view was indeed good. The room amenities were quite hidden; the mini-fridge and minibar were tucked away in cabinets, completely unnoticeable unless you specifically opened them. We only discovered them when we were about to leave. We left the hotel around 4-5 PM with the air conditioning on and the curtains and windows closed. We didn't return until almost midnight, and the air conditioning was still not cool. After midnight, I tried calling the front desk, operator, and guest relations manager multiple times using the room phone, but no one answered (we confirmed the calls went through). I finally got through using my mobile phone. Their response time was 15 minutes. The technician checked the air conditioning, found no issues, and reported that central air conditioning systems are all like this. They could only provide a fan, which we accepted, even though the fan was very noisy. The overall stay experience was quite mediocre. The room at 16℃ on the highest fan setting was still not as cool as the lobby. Breakfast was a highlight of this stay. The variety was rich, and the service was excellent. You scanned your room card to enter, but the price wasn't cheap. The staff were very prompt in clearing dishes, though the taste of the food was just average. The room hygiene was decent, except for a lot of dust on the edges of the bathtub; everything else was fine. The trash cans did not have liners. The service was very cold, perhaps impassive. During check-out, no one asked about our stay experience. Requesting an invoice was also met with a cold demeanor. On one occasion, when I didn't have my room card and needed an employee to help me access the elevator, there was no verbal communication from them at all (even though I used polite language).

My stay at The Eton Hotel Shanghai was absolutely delightful! The hotel is located in a bustling area with convenient transportation links, and the view from the window was lovely. The room was spotlessly clean, and the facilities were complete and modern, with a very comfortable bed. The staff were warm and attentive, making me feel very welcome. As a business traveler, this hotel perfectly met all my needs; it was ideal for both work and relaxation. It offers great value for money, and I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai. I highly recommend it to all travelers!
