Great location: Close to many shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars, and 10 minutes walking distance to the metro station Wuding Road, from where Line 14 takes you directly to Jing'an Temple (only one station from Wuding Road), and Xintiandi (only two stations from Wuding Road). The room was nice, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The room had a safebox and a steam iron. The breakfast was sufficiently diverse for me. The staff was helpful, service-minded, and nice everywhere. Two minor issues need to be addressed: 1. There was no ironing board in the room. 2. There is no light directed at the viewer as he looks into the mirror. This makes it somewhat disturbing, for instance, while shaving.

My experience at this hotel was absolutely fantastic! The room was super clean and comfortable, which made my stay very pleasant. What really stood out was the staff's kindness; it truly touched me. When I was struggling to figure out how to order takeout, they patiently explained everything and even personally helped me with a drink purchase since I'm a foreigner and had difficulty with the payment. At checkout, they even gave me a hand cream as a gift, making my trip perfect right until the very end. Thanks to their warm hospitality and the immaculate room, I had a truly wonderful time. I will definitely be back!

The location is super convenient. The lobby has a great artistic vibe. The bed was really comfortable! Yuan Yuan at the front desk was incredibly thoughtful. Since I arrived quite late that night, there was only a street-facing room left, and the noise from the cars was disturbing my rest. Yuan Yuan specifically wrote a handover note, reminding her colleague on the next shift to move me to a different room the following morning. It was quiet and spacious. I'm very satisfied. This hotel offers great value for money.

The hotel's location is super convenient! It's right around the corner if you take Exit 1 of Metro Line 2. There are tons of places to eat nearby, and it's just a 7-8 minute walk to the embassy for visa appointments. Zhangyuan is also only about 100 meters away. I booked a balcony room, which was spacious and didn't feel cramped at all. The decor is really modern too. There's no breakfast at the hotel, so I grabbed some Shanghai wontons nearby, and they were delicious. One suggestion I have is to add a small night light in the room. The current lighting options are either too bright no matter how you set them, or it's completely dark. I usually prefer to have a bit of light on when staying in a hotel, it makes me feel more secure.

Highly recommend! This place is perfect for couples and friends traveling together. It's located right near Nanjing West Road Jing'an Temple subway station, making transportation and the surrounding area incredibly convenient. We were pleasantly surprised by the price during the summer holiday – excellent value for money. The restaurant on the first floor is high-quality, with both the ambiance and food being top-notch. The room decor is very stylish, avant-garde yet tasteful; even though it was renovated in 2013, it's exceptionally well-maintained, showing no signs of its age. The details and overall feel are spot on. The whole place has a lot of character. I'll definitely bring my friends here again next time!

The front desk staff were attentive, meticulous, and patient, always friendly whether it was morning or late at night. The large bed in the room was incredibly comfortable, leading to a deep sleep and thorough rest. It was genuinely the best sleep quality I've had recently.

This hotel is a cost-effective gem in a prime location. It's clean, well-equipped, and very close to the subway. Highly recommend if you need to attend a US visa interview, as it's only a 4-5 minute walk away – you can even leave your phone in your room and avoid checking it in. The front desk offers earplugs, and the staff are all very friendly.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy. It was recommended by my foreign colleagues for my business trip to Shanghai. The surrounding area is bustling, located in the core business district of Jing'an Temple, making it very convenient for subway travel, shopping, and sightseeing. The bedding in the room was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a good night's rest for my business trip. I happened to be there during a typhoon with heavy rain in Shanghai, and I particularly appreciate the doorman who promptly helped with my luggage. The front desk and room service were professional and attentive. The executive lounge experience was outstanding, with excellent food. From the room window, I could enjoy panoramic views of the beautiful surroundings.

For over a decade, The Portman Ritz-Carlton has been my only choice when in Shanghai. It feels like coming home, a place I've grown attached to. This time, I had a business meeting, so I specifically booked an Executive Room. I highly recommend the Ritz-Carlton Executive Lounge – it's incredibly comfortable, the food and drinks are excellent, and it offers great privacy. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the 43rd floor provide amazing views; whether it's daytime or the city lights at night, Nanjing Road outside the window always has a different charm. The room was as comfortable as ever, and the hotel service was superb – truly befitting a top-tier hotel. A small detail: this morning, while having breakfast in the Executive Lounge, I heard a server speaking to a guest in flawless, fluent American English. The staff's quality is indeed exceptional, especially since this is one of the Shanghai five-star hotels I've seen with the most foreign guests. I also want to highly recommend the Executive Lounge's afternoon tea again, as shown in the picture.

The public areas are fantastic, with self-serve drinks, various lounge areas, and even a pool table. The room I booked wasn't large, but it had everything I needed. The staff were very enthusiastic and helpful. I didn't try the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The location is also very convenient, not far from the subway station. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I'm traveling alone! Highly recommended!
