Honestly, the outside patio and inside common area is beautiful and you couldn't get a better location. You have a park right in front of the hotel with a slight walk (very easy and I was using a cane) you have numerous good restaurants, bookstores and shops. And you are in the heart of Amherst College campus. Upon entering the building you are enveloped by a lovely, subtle New England smell and then you see the fireplace going in the common area. Perfection. And if you are looking for a great drink at the bar, yup they have that. All of the staff were super kind and the bathroom was clean, stylish and comfortable. However, the price is not accurate representation of what you would expect for the quality of the room. Here is my reasoning why. 1. As someone with severe food allergies, I brought the food I could eat with no fridge in the rooms, I lost all of it. Maybe it is available in the larger and more expensive rooms but I didn't think this was something I needed to check because it comes standard in all the other hotels/inn's I've stayed in. 2. In regards to the entertainment in the room, I'm not sure if it was the internet or the remotes but the ease of getting channels to change was frustrating, especially after the seriously slow ”what is playing” scrolling option on the tv. 3. Small Details: when I went to leave I realized there were no mirrors in the room. There was a great mirror in the bathroom, but I couldn't find a mirror in the bedroom itself to check my outfit. I opened the closet door, which was in the small entryway, and there was the mirror. However, this was the darkest area of the room and I had to tuck myself against the wall to see my outfit. I felt like i was in college again with my Target full length over the door mirror. There was def. enough space to place it on a wall so I have no idea why it was placed here other than they didn't want to pay for a nice quality full length mirror to hang. 4. And finally, we come to the bed. While finding the right bed for all the guests is a tricky thing, this bed was not firm or plush, it just felt old. I've traveled a lot and have stayed in many hotels so, I expect a comfortable bed, a fridge, a quick tv/tv remote and a full length mirror as comfort standards for this price point. IMO you are paying for the location vs the room quality.

There is nothing around the hotel, but you can park for free. If you don't have a car, it is not recommended to stay, which is very inconvenient. The facilities are complete, there is a small swimming pool and gym, breakfast is a typical American style, nothing wrong. There is a self-service washer dryer, which is more convenient!

The room is spacious and tidy, can accommodate an extra bed, a bed can sleep two people, there is a refrigerator, microwave, gym, two beds for two people, the room can also be an extra bed, can sleep up to five people, suitable for children, there is a parking lot, Shopping around to buy school supplies is very convenient! Breakfast has milk, eggs, bread, the fly in the ointment is buffet breakfast, no fruits and vegetables

We we’re utilizing Homewood Suites as an extended stay until we could move into our new home, Hilton kicked us and a few others stating it was a glitch and Hilton overbooked. Also, the outside accent spotlights shined directly into the room. It was so bright I called the front desk at 3am requesting they turn it off. They were kind enough to switch our rooms but the light remained blaring in room 107. Doors did not have spring closures, every time another guest would use the door it would slam. Outside noise (guest in halls) were easily heard, no quietness. Hilton guest relations responded to this incident (after a few emails) by stating they would discuss with management. No remedy to the guest. Bottom line, if you book here there’s a good chance Hilton will not honor the reservation and you will be forced to seek alternate lodging and you’ll have a spot light shining on your room.

The cable TV service was lousy. Did not have a program guide. It only showed the stations call sign & Chanel #. No way of picking a show or reviewing a program guide. Look a 5 , oh it’s a commercial , wait , nope not interested , go to Chanel 6 , great another commercial, wait , nope , ok let’s try 7? Spend 10/ 12/15 minutes surfing in a attempt to get lucky ? Oh wait it’s 20 past the hour , what’s on @ ?30, I’ll know to ask next time. 5 hours driving , wanting to sit & relax not Chanel surf.

It is basic. I like that windows open. It was fairly clean. But the towels were small and the pillows flat. If it was $79 a night I’d be fine with it but for over three hundred I expect more. There is nothing to eat here or near here. The pool area is surprisingly big. There is decent coffee in lobby. You can pay to do laundry. You can pay more and get better pillows and snacks. Really? Pay more than three hundred to get better pillows? What a joke.

Nice hotel, just inside the school, there is a restaurant below, convenient!

Stayed one night, front desk personnel very friendly with easy check in and out. King size room on the third floor was clean and roomy. Air conditioning worked well, bedding and pillows were comfortable, no issues with WiFi. Breakfast was grab and go bags (due to COVID-19, the breakfast area was closed). Free parking, easy access to major highways.

This hotel really surprised us. You never know what you’re going to get off of the interstate but we were pleasantly surprised! Everything was clean, breakfast was great, and the staff were so kind. We enjoyed using the pool which was a bit cold, and the kids loved the foosball table. Would recommend. Only downside is the rooms are very tiny.
