"we booked the boutique hotel because we were visiting Moon and Stars in Ascona. A great tip for one night. Disadvantage, despite cleanliness, location, etc. no storage space, similar to Motel One in all places in Europe. You can't stay there for weeks. But we had a great time."

"Even if the hotel does not look particularly attractive from the street, it is an inspiring hotel! The interiors are beautiful, tastefully decorated and clean. The gardens are beautiful and the location on the lake is unique. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The restaurants are also excellent and the breakfast buffet is, in my opinion, one of the best. The bar makes very special and good cocktails. We had a great upgrade to a luxury suite. We are already looking forward to staying again"

"This was billed as a very good Hotel but I felt very let down. It was expensive but the amenities and service levels were lacking. The aircon didn’t work properly and only after repeated complaints did I get a lifesaving fan in the intense heat. The WiFi was also poor, I had to keep going outside into the corridor to get to back. No coffee machine or kettle, no list of prices for minibar or room service. The pool was lovely with a wonderful view but the promised jacuzzi was empty. The staff were not too friendly either. There is a shuttle but you have to ask and it stops at 4. Why? It’s a long way up the hill. If you don’t have a car, not a good idea. Just not a place where the customer was front and centre.."

Χωρίς να αναρωτιέμαι αν αυτό θα ήταν εντάξει για μας ... Γενικά μη φιλικό προσωπικό. Τα δωμάτια χωρίς μπαλκόνι με τα αρχικά έπιπλα και τους λαμπτήρες. Το μπάνιο είναι πολύ άβολο. Για να κάνετε μπάνιο, πρέπει να πάτε στην τουαλέτα για να μπείτε στην μπανιέρα. Το παράθυρο δεν μπορεί να ανοίξει. Το φούρνο, από τον τελευταίο αιώνα, αναμένεται επίσης να ζεσταθεί. Σε κάθε περίπτωση, δεν υπάρχει απλός ποσοτικός τρόπος και ενθουσιασμός."

"The Jazz Hotel is a cheaply furnished hotel in a central location in Ascona. The rooms are cheaply furnished and soundproof. We booked through a reputable booking platform. For a full week's stay, we were given the worst and noisiest room in the hotel, right next to reception with loud music and opposite the breakfast room and a freely accessible coffee machine. This meant no sleeping in and no privacy. We therefore asked for a quieter room. For an additional charge of CHF 250 (!), we were able to move into the same cheaply furnished, small room on a different floor. I'm unclear as to why we were charged this extra fee; it was supposedly an upgrade. The bathroom is old and very small, so you often end up hitting yourself. The shower was very small and calcified. The breakfast room has the ambiance of a train station waiting room. The breakfast is straightforward and always the same, served carelessly with lots of ready-made products. There wasn't fresh bread, rolls, or croissants every day, and stale sausage, cheese, and Bircher muesli were offered every day. Conversation in the breakfast room was almost impossible due to the noisy refrigerated counter. This was by far the worst place I've ever spent my time in, and the price was definitely not cheap. Never again."
