"The hotel provided an excellent experience during our first trip to Palau. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. Its location in the city center was extremely convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance, so we never had to worry about transportation or finding good food. What truly stood out, however, was the front desk staff-Yssa . They were polite, approachable, and genuinely warm in their interactions. Their professionalism was matched by their friendliness, and they went out of their way to assist us whenever we needed help. It is rare to encounter employees who combine beauty, kindness, and dedication so seamlessly, and their presence added a special charm to our stay. Thanks to their thoughtful service, our journey was not only smooth but also filled with delightful moments. They made us feel welcome from the very beginning and ensured that our needs were met with care and efficiency. This level of hospitality is hard to find and deserves recognition. Overall, the hotel offered both comfort and heartfelt service, making our Palau adventure even more memorable."

"I really enjoyed my stay at Palau Royal Resort, which lasted for 6 nights as my return flight had to be postponed by 2 days. It was home away from home, and I cannot thank all the staff enough for their excellent service, welcoming smiles and wonderful help rendered throughout our stay. Our room was also cleaned up very well every single day, kudos to the lovely cleaning lady who always greeted us with a beaming smile when she came around to do her job. 10/10 would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Palau!"

"The hosts, facilities, food, wonderful! I had only one hiccup - I had a lot of internet issues staying in a room further away from the lobby but upon hearing I needed to work they moved me to a closer room, which was incredibly kind of them to do! I loved the stay and loved how hospitable and kind everyone was!"

"Fabulous place to stay, very central and an amazing view and pool, the staff are so nice and just can’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable, the pool is amazing. On first impression the place looks weathered and a shadow of its former self, there are about 60 rooms and 18 bungalows but only a few guests , there is a bar but hardly anyone uses it, the breakfast is very Asian but there is some western food so you won’t starve. The place is absolutely spotless and we really enjoyed our time there and would stay there again if ever in Palau"

"I stayed here with two friends. The beds, bathroom, and balcony were all clean, and the room was spacious enough for us to lay out our suitcases on the floor without any issues, making for a very comfortable stay. The adjoining restaurant and general store were also lovely. There was a slight mix-up; we had booked a triple single-bed room, but were provided with a queen bed and two single beds, and amenities were only set out for two people. However, the staff's service was consistently polite and prompt, so it didn't cause any major inconvenience. It was very convenient and helpful to be able to use the in-room phone to contact the activity tour company."

"The place offers good value in an area of expensive hotels, great service by the staff and the whole building is kept clean. AC was a bit old and did not really work well during day time but was sufficient at night."

"This hotel boasts a prime location, and most importantly, it has its own private sandy beach, which is rare for Palau. Guests can rent kayaks for $23 USD/day. Nearby, in the lagoon, there's a submerged WWII fighter plane, as well as a vast array of diverse fish and many giant clam shells. We booked a suite on the 4th floor, and the only slight downer was that the TV only had one channel (no matter how many times I asked at reception, they never fixed it). There's a superb Japanese restaurant nearby with sushi and ramen, where you can also try the giant clam."

"Well, the location is okay, directly at the Main Street in Koror, with small shops, a shopping mall and food stores nearby. The Staff was very friendly & accommodating and the airport pickup service worked perfectly. The hotel itself is a bit dated, whilst the simple equipped Oceanview Room is spacious enough for two, but I doubt the ocean can be seen nicely on the lower floors. Overall it depends what are your expectations, if you are looking for a hotel to sleep, have breakfast and spend all day outside for diving, snorkeling, excursions, the hotel may be okay, but it’s a bit pricy for what you get. But if you are looking for a place to spend your day for relaxing & chilling at the pool / beach, it is definitely not the right place."

"Location: - Far from the city center. - Tucked away in a residential area (among private homes). - The surroundings are dark at night. - Very quiet. - In the morning, you can hear roosters crowing from afar. Facilities: - Newly opened, less than a year old, so it's new and clean. - A small shop (food, drinks) on the ground floor, open from 7 am to 7:30 pm. - Five rooms and a kitchen are on the second floor, accessed by climbing the stairs next to the building. - Each room is entered from an outdoor corridor. - The kitchen is also accessed from an outdoor corridor. - The kitchen key is provided along with the room key. - No stove in the kitchen, only a microwave. - Refrigerator (no freezer compartment). Amenities: - The room isn't large, but it has everything you need. - Air conditioning, bed. - Wi-Fi (connection can sometimes be unstable). - In-room shower and toilet. - Washbasin (kitchen sink type) and mirror. - Kettle, dishes, cutlery. - Various sized towels, disposable toothbrushes. - Shampoo, conditioner, body soap (provided). - An information file containing necessary details like a city sightseeing guide and bus stop map. Transportation: - About a 30-minute walk from the accommodation to the city center. - The nearest bus stop is a 15-minute walk away. - No need to cross a main road; the bus stop is along the street. - Buses only run during the day, approximately once an hour. - Considering a round trip, it's not very convenient. - From the nearest bus stop to the city center supermarket: - About 3-4 minutes by bus. - About 15 minutes on foot. - (Only one bus route). - Buses are said to have a uniform fare of $1 for almost the entire area, but signs inside the bus state $2 for visitors. - You just drop cash into a box next to the driver. - The buses are small, 15-seater vehicles. I arrived late at night (via Philippine Air), but they accommodated my late check-in. Although they initially said 24-hour service wasn't available, the owner kindly waited for me at the entrance of the accommodation. I also requested airport transfer when booking. Upon exiting the airport, the transfer service person was waiting with a sign with my name on it (paid $30 cash directly to the driver). After checking out, I asked the supermarket staff below the room, and they kindly held my luggage until 7:30 pm, which was a great help (this might have been possible because the supermarket owner happened to be there when I asked). If you don't mind not having an ocean view or a central location, and are looking for something half the price of city center accommodations, this place offers excellent value for money. You can stay in a private room for the same price as, or even less than, a city center dormitory."
