"This is an old-fashioned hotel with over a hundred years of history in the area. It's a combination of two classical hotel buildings, a modern central lobby and restaurant built more recently, and a two-story modern apartment-style accommodation at the back. The two classical hotel buildings are Carlton and Europe. Their interiors have been largely optimized for modern needs. The current hotel owners, while renovating, had to adhere to government regulations for preserving the antique structure. However, the rest of the amenities have been modernized as much as possible, with original wood flooring used for repairs and replacements. Overall, it's a very good hotel! Breakfast is buffet-style, but the selection is essentially a Swiss-European breakfast: yogurt, bread and jam, juice, hot tea and coffee, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, pan-fried shredded potatoes, fruit, and various cheeses and cold cuts. For tourists not accustomed to Western-style meals, it might be a bit challenging. The restaurant also offers additional egg dishes or other options for an extra charge – but you have to pay more! The location is very convenient. Right outside is Interlaken Ost station, the starting point for various attractions in the Alps. You can even take a boat from here to the small town of Brienz, or to Iseltwald, famous for the Korean drama 'Crash Landing on You.' Both the pier and the small castle are stunning scenic spots. Upon check-in, the front desk provides a free bus pass, allowing you to take buses to explore various towns. This is different from the mountain trains and cable cars, which require extra payment to go up the mountains quickly. Generally, most attractions stop going up the mountain after 5 PM, so it's best to start early in the morning to make good use of your time! However, this hotel still has its drawbacks. For example, while the water supply is comprehensive, the hot and cold water stability is very poor. Turning on the hot water can be scalding, and sometimes it suddenly turns cold mid-shower, then becomes super hot again. The showering experience is quite subpar! Each guest room uses a classical keyhole lock for opening and closing the door. There's no modern double-bolt lock; you have to lock the door from the inside with the door key. The upside is that once locked from the inside, the keyhole is filled by the key, preventing anyone from picking the lock from the outside. When you go out and lock up, the heavy key can be left in the mail slot at the front desk, or entrusted to the front desk for safekeeping, in a classic manner! Most importantly, this hotel does not allow children! According to the owner's vision, he wants this hotel to be adult-focused, allowing busy people to enjoy their own time while traveling and recharging, rather than having to take care of children during their vacation. This way, adults can truly live for themselves. Therefore, this hotel does not allow guests under 16 years old. If you plan to book with children, please look for accommodation elsewhere – it's better for both parties! Overall, this is a good place for mature individuals to stay, perfect for those focused on enjoying mountain excursions. Who wouldn't want to return to their hotel immediately after coming down the mountain to rest?"

"The location is fantastic, right next to the train station. The front desk staff were very friendly. There were no curtains in the room, and the charging outlets weren't European standard; you need a Swiss adapter, which you can also borrow from the front desk. The main issue is that the charging ports face downwards, so chargers fall out due to gravity. This design is quite frustrating. The breakfast was good, though."

"I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Chalet Swiss during my visit to Interlaken. The hotel has a charming Swiss chalet atmosphere that made the stay feel cozy and relaxing. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything I needed was provided. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection of bread, cereals, fruits, cheeses, cold cuts, and drinks. It was a great way to start the day before heading out to explore the surrounding mountains and lakes. The location is convenient, within walking distance of Interlaken West station and the town center. It was easy to get around and access public transportation for day trips. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. While the hotel may not be the most modern, it offers good value for money and a comfortable stay in a peaceful setting. Overall, I had a nice experience and would consider staying here again when visiting Interlaken."

"This hotel is right next to Wengen train station, making it super convenient, and it's also very cozy and charming. When we arrived at 11 PM, the front desk attendant was incredibly patient with us. We later found out the kettle in our room wasn't working, but they responded immediately and fixed it on the spot. The hotel breakfast had a decent variety, and the restaurant itself is genuinely beautiful, haha. We booked dinner there one evening, and it cost us 160 CHF for two. Both the service and the food were impeccable. The waiter even let us, who know nothing about wine, sample a few reds. The view from the window is absolutely stunning, though it does depend a bit on the weather. We had a very enjoyable two-night stay!"

"The hotel's location is genuinely tough for travelers without a car. It's about a 10-15 minute bus ride from the West Station (with buses running every 30 minutes), followed by a 10-minute walk up a hill. On my first visit, I questioned if I was in the right place and felt a twinge of regret. There are no supermarkets nearby, so you have to buy food around West Station. However, there's a small train station about a 15-minute walk away, which was convenient for going to Jungfrau. The facilities have an old villa feel but are clean. Being old, soundproofing isn't great; I could hear the person next door snoring, but it wasn't bothersome—more like, 'Ah, they're sleeping soundly.' It felt like a cafe tucked away in a deep corner of Namyangju. My stay included breakfast, which offered a basic selection. You can also get ice if you ask at the bar. Perhaps because it's on a hill, the view was really good, and I appreciated having a terrace even in a single room. I'm not sure if it was just my room, but the safe didn't work, and there was no bathtub. Oh, and the elevator requires you to manually open and close the doors, and it moves quite fast. It seems they occasionally host Chinese tour groups, as I saw them checking in in the evening, having breakfast the next day, and then checking out immediately. I actually enjoyed that bustling atmosphere, haha."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of town with a supermarket nearby, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. They also have a small elevator, so you don't have to lug your luggage around, which is a huge plus! I really enjoyed the lovely snacks provided, as well as the coffee and tea bags. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's pretty standard for a four-star hotel."

"This hostel boasts an unbeatable location, just a minute or two's walk from the Grindelwald Terminal, making transportation incredibly convenient. The natural scenery is absolutely stunning. You can gaze upon majestic snow-capped mountains and lush green slopes, a truly magnificent and healing view. The dining area also offers fantastic views, so you can enjoy a beautiful mountain panorama while having breakfast. The breakfast selection is rich and varied, making for a great dining experience. The overall facilities are new and well-maintained, and the amenities are comprehensive. The hostel has a good number of rooms. On my first day, I arrived quite late, and the staff left my room key in a locker by the entrance for self-check-in. It took me a bit of time to find my room initially. The bathrooms are communal and located outside the rooms, requiring a trip outdoors to use them. However, the communal areas are well-kept, and all facilities are fully equipped. Considering all factors, the value for money at this accommodation is excellent. If you're looking to deeply appreciate Grindelwald's natural beauty and want a great base for sightseeing and photography, this hostel is a perfect choice."

"I booked 4 rooms. They were very spacious and clean. This is a hotel renovated from an old, historic house. The floors were a bit slanted, and the old-fashioned elevator added a lot of charm. The rooms were comfortable, and there was free parking available. They offered complimentary afternoon tea and pastries daily from 2 PM to 6 PM. The breakfast was truly amazing—especially exquisite and plentiful, with options like rice, curry, eggs, and a mix of Chinese and Western dishes. The location was very convenient, extremely close to the city center."

"I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in Wengen. Its location is excellent, right next to the train station and within easy walking distance of restaurants and grocery stores. The views are stunning, and having breakfast while overlooking the Swiss Alps was a highlight of the stay. The breakfast itself was also very good. One of my favourite memories was watching the World Cup from our balcony while the crowd gathered downstairs, it created such a fun atmosphere. The restaurant below the hotel plays pleasant music throughout the day and into the evening. It didn’t bother us, but it’s something to keep in mind if you prefer a very quiet stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. If I had one complaint, it would be the smell of cooking that occasionally lingered in the corridor outside the rooms."

"I was very satisfied. The location is excellent, right in the bustling area of Interlaken. The front desk service was fantastic. The room had a coffee machine, an electric kettle, tea bags, and a bottle of mineral water. Plus, it came with a balcony, making for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was also included. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit."
