"This guesthouse truly lives up to its No. 1 ranking in Quanzhou! The location is superb, the ambiance is top-notch, and the service is incredibly warm and thoughtful. We followed their hand-drawn map and explored so many delicious food spots, and every single recommendation was a hit. They even went out of their way to set up a rooftop movie screening for us, which we really appreciated. It makes sense that breakfast isn't included, as there's simply too much amazing food nearby – you definitely need to save your breakfast appetite for Quanzhou's local snacks. We'll definitely be back, and we'll definitely be staying at Lush when we do!"

"A cozy homestay at a convenient location, walkable distance to the west street for shopping. It has also other shops around the area and has the Hongkong dapaidang vibes. We stayed at the loft unit which has 2 levels. It supposed to have a bathtub but it was sent for repair. Staff was helpful and gave many recommendations and even a map for us to visit the attractions nearby."

"The air conditioner was quite loud, and the speed was difficult to control. Low for cooling, high for warmth. Light from outside leaked in, and I woke up numerous times in the middle of the night to take a photo. The service was acceptable, and the restaurant recommendations were generally consistent with those on Dianping. The hotel's location was convenient, offering a quiet escape amidst the bustle. However, the essence of a hotel is a comfortable night's sleep, and the mattress, ventilation, and temperature really kept me awake."

"This hotel definitely doesn't meet five-star standards. The room was practically empty, just a coffee table, a chair, and the bed – that's it. When we asked for an extra chair, they brought a folding one, but there was no sofa, no proper desk… nothing else. What truly surprised me was how hot the room was. My husband was sweating profusely, thinking the AC wasn't strong enough. Turns out, when we finally got through to reception (side note: the phone was initially hard to connect, and the QR code for hotel services in the room was invalid – it felt like the hotel was on its last legs, honestly), the staff admitted the air conditioning wasn't even on! This is supposed to be a five-star hotel! They only agreed to turn it on after we insisted. My guess is they keep it off everywhere and only activate it for specific rooms when guests complain, all to save money and cut corners. The tea set in the room was shoddy – cheap enamel mugs you'd find on the street for a couple of bucks, and disposable cups. Again, I was shocked. There wasn't even any welcome fruit. Yet, the bathroom was huge and had a big bathtub. The luxurious size of the bathroom and the sparse, basic amenities in the bedroom created a bizarre contrast! They absolutely refused to add a children's meal to breakfast. It seems breakfast is their only real revenue stream. I heard it's quite lavish, though not much meat, and costs around 180 per person? The owner clearly has a strong grasp on saving money and maximizing profit; I have to admire that! So, do I recommend it? You decide for yourself. To be honest, I'm not exaggerating anything. I wonder if many other reviews are fake, but mine certainly isn't! 🤷"

"The service here is absolutely amazing! The staff are so warm, thoughtful, and incredibly patient with their explanations. When we checked in, they even gave us a hand-drawn map and went through all the routes, potential pitfalls, and must-see spots. Their recommendations for food and activities were absolute gems – we followed their advice for mochi, mung bean cakes, and the Arts and Crafts Cooperative, and everything was spot-on, way better than anything we could have found doing our own research! They were always ready to help and proactively offered assistance, treating us like friends the whole time. It felt even warmer and more personalized than a five-star hotel. Traveling with my mom was completely stress-free; this guesthouse provided an incredible sense of security and convenience. If you're coming to Quanzhou, this is definitely the place to stay. I'll absolutely be back for a second visit, and I highly recommend it to all my friends!"

"Loving the vibes of this hotel! Clean, comfortable, helpful ground staff, especially friendly customer support through WeChat - Xiao Yang, conveniently located, nice local breakfast provided in the hotel.It’s not located on the Main Street but it’s only a few min walk, which also means less noise at night and early in the morning. I’ll definitely be back again if I ever visit Quanzhou again! Thanks for hosting us!"

"Service: Ending my Fuzhou/Quanzhou trip at Qixu was absolutely the right decision. From the moment my butler, Sugar, contacted me two days in advance to finalize activity details, Qixu's excellent service was evident in every aspect. It felt warm and personal, yet perfectly professional. Ambiance: Qixu, a repurposed old department store, is essentially the highest point and center of Quanzhou's ancient city. The stunning views from the 6th and 7th floors mean you don't need to pay to go up to other rooftops. My child gasped with awe at the rooftop view and again at the room's decor, exclaiming how beautiful it was. Facilities/Service: I've stayed at many other resort hotels and added numerous butlers on WeChat, but Sugar is probably the only one who made me feel so thoroughly taken care of. When I mentioned we were low on water in the room, it was immediately replenished with 11 bottles. When I noted a flickering light, she promptly arranged for a technician to check it. On our last day, needing to catch an early flight, breakfast wasn't an option, so she quickly arranged for a huge box of pastries, a large fruit box, and toast to be delivered specifically for the morning, and even helped with our luggage. Cleanliness: All the amenities and bedding were generously provided (and crucially, they were genuinely good quality). I'm now a fan of their toiletries, tea sets, and bedding. The room was meticulously cleaned every day, making it feel fresh and comfortable. Qixu truly made me feel that the hotel is an integral part of the travel experience. I hope to try their cliffside Qixu and Xiamen Qixu locations someday. Thank you for the wonderful care. Oh, and definitely experience the hotel's 'little white car' (shuttle) on your first day! The driver's commentary was fantastic, and the service was exceptional! They introduced classic attractions and recommended many local favorite spots. My little one even got car sick, and the lady driver instantly produced tissues and then a straw (for drinking water/rinsing), just like Doraemon!"

"Front desk : not 5 star hotel standard. No greeting during check in. Check out 2 days early yet front desk just ask to put the room card at counter. Not even interested to know the reason. Room : hot like summer and it is centralised control. Even off the air conditioning temperature still same. Restaurant : only 1 is available"

"This is my second stay here, and one excellent improvement is that the breakfast is much richer than my first visit, offering a variety of Quanzhou local snacks. The hotel environment is very clean, and the facilities are well-equipped. The room is spacious and very comfortable to stay in. There's free parking, which is very convenient. The service is beyond words – enthusiastic, efficient, and they practically fulfill every request! The front desk lady even upgraded my room without me asking, and I received a complimentary souvenir upon checkout, which was an absolute surprise. I'll definitely be back!"
