"The owner was incredibly welcoming, constantly sharing travel tips and showing us some photos he'd taken. In the morning, we saw an unidentified tree outside, laden with small fruits. After asking the owner, we learned it was a wild panda yew! Apparently, there are many wild yew trees in this area. He even gave us a little educational information about yew trees and picked a few for us to taste. He told us the seeds were bitter and poisonous, so we shouldn't eat them. The fruits were smooth inside and had a slightly sweet taste – a truly delightful experience!"

"This is what they call in Chinese a ”minsu” (民俗) which is basically a family run B&B or home stay. It's location is good, located at the top of Baiyingu village. It's also about a 60 minute hike (1.8km) to a great scenic spot called Qixingdun. You can pay more money if you want to stay in one of the top room floors with better views of the village below. One thing that can be improved is the small bathrooms which can be designed better. Also, it can get loud if families are staying because the kids can scream."

The camp looks dreamy at night time with lights on, peaceful with only sound you can hear is water trickling on the rice terraces and frogs in them croaking. Entrance to Jiuqu Yunhuan rice terrace scenic area is less than 5mins walk. Worth getting up early to see the sun rise as the terraces look the best in the morning as the light simmers off the water (in Spring). Thanks to the boss who helped us with our luggage and gave a lift to the cable car station on our way down. Would definitely stay again!"
