Service: The staff were all very welcoming. There's a free stamp-collecting station in the first-floor lobby, with Beijing red stamp books available for 35 RMB each—you can stamp whatever you like. Environment: The overall vibe is very cozy and comfortable. The breakfast has a huge variety, including fruits (apples, bananas, cantaloupe, watermelon, oranges, and tomatoes), yogurt, hot milk, hot soy milk, staples, bread, congee, desserts (fermented glutinous rice soup with sweet rice balls), as well as cold and hot dishes. Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy. Facilities: The showerhead has strong, concentrated water pressure, the toilet has a powerful flush (and is auto-flushing), and the room's AC is exceptionally cold and efficient. Getting a taxi right at the alley entrance is very convenient. Turn right upon exiting the hotel, and you'll reach the subway station in about 10 minutes max. You can also walk to the Drum and Bell Towers (from there, you can easily walk to Shichahai Scenic Area, Houhai, Yandai斜街 [Yandai 斜街], and the Former Residence of Soong Ching-ling).

The staff were warm and friendly, and the cleaning auntie was diligent – very satisfied. The room was a bit basic. It was a room without an external window, and on the first day, there was an odor when I entered, which improved after airing it out. However, it was quite quiet, though the natural light wasn't great. For someone who doesn't sleep well, it might actually be an acceptable fit. Overall, the location is good, with many attractions and shops nearby, and shared bikes make getting around very convenient.

The hotel is located in a hutong right by Shichahai, making it super convenient for sightseeing. The service is warm and welcoming, and the security guard at the entrance and the young ladies at the front desk left a wonderful impression on us. The breakfast was also delicious, and the buy-one-get-one-free offer made it feel like great value for money. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Beijing!

What a pleasant surprise, this courtyard hotel! At night, the red lanterns illuminate the wooden beams, creating a fantastic ambiance in the traditional Chinese courtyard with stunning views. The entire room is equipped with Xiaodu smart voice control, allowing you to turn lights on/off and play music with just a voice command – the level of smart tech far exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, tidy, cozy, and comfortable. Overall, the experience completely surpassed what I anticipated. It's definitely worth coming back to, and this will be my first choice for future stays!

Some rooms of the same type didn't have windows, so I switched to a room on the second floor. The antique furnishings gave it a nice touch. Being an old courtyard house, it's understandable that the cleanliness and environment wouldn't be quite like a new concrete building, but its excellent location and the good service from the front desk made up for it. There are many shops nearby, and you can also enjoy the night view of the Drum Tower. It's a bit of a walk from the subway station, being deep in the hutong, but it's acceptable.

This courtyard hotel is a perfect blend between a B&B and a regular hotel; it's so cozy and comfortable, I'll definitely stay here again! There are tons of attractions and great food nearby too! The front desk even upgraded us to a premium room for free.

Five-star review! Stayed at the Lishihuyuan Hotel (Houhai Jishuitan branch), the location is superb. It's a short taxi ride to Jishuitan Xinjiekou Hospital, making it very convenient for medical appointments. We had someone in our group who needed wheelchair access, and the front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful and proactively assisted us, ensuring smooth passage within the courtyard. The room was clean and tidy, offering a quiet and elegant courtyard environment, and the bedding was comfortable. Service was prompt and attitudes were gentle. Overall, the experience was excellent. This is definitely my first choice for anyone coming to Jishuitan for medical treatment. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed our 4-night stay here and was extremely satisfied with the service. When we first arrived, there was some confusion with the hotel system and the room we booked was not available. We were quite disappointed at first, but the staff immediately worked on a solution for us. Throughout the whole stay, everyone was sincere, polite and helpful. Breakfast was great too, with slightly different dishes each day. There was also complimentary supper provided every night. The laundry room was also efficient and the location was great. A special shoutout to Tao Tu, who honestly made our stay even more memorable. She was one of the most sincere and thoughtful staff we met during the trip. She was always smiling, attentive and genuinely seemed to care about the guests. Her service attitude was excellent, and she went beyond what we expected. When she found out we were taking a flight after checking out, she thoughtfully prepared some amenities for us to bring along. It was such a small gesture, but it really showed how thoughtful she was and how much she cared about our experience. We truly appreciated it. Really grateful to Tao Tu and the whole team for turning an initially disappointing situation into such a positive stay. We absolutely love this place and would definitely come back!

The family room was cozy and beautifully decorated, with clean floors and a comfortable atmosphere. The service was warm and welcoming, and the hotel lobby was spacious and elegant. My family and children absolutely loved it. The location is great, situated in Ju'er Hutong, close to Nanluoguxiang and Shichahai. A taxi will take you to Jiaodaokou South Street, and it's about a 500-meter walk from there.

A truly delightful stay! I accidentally booked the wrong check-in date, but the lovely lady at the front desk was incredibly patient and helped me sort it out. When I arrived, it was scorching hot in Beijing – I felt like I was melting! Luckily, the reception area had ice-cold bottled water, which was an absolute lifesaver. I'd read reviews saying the rooms were small, but after checking in, I realized the location is simply fantastic. With such a prime spot, any other minor issues don't really matter. It's about 100 meters from Ji Shui Tan subway station exit. In the morning, you can cycle to Gulou in about 12 minutes to enjoy some Stir-fried Liver. Most major attractions are only about 4 subway stops away, which made me so happy that I extended my stay for two more days!
