"This was my first and so far only hotel stay in Indonesia that exceeded my expectations. It wasn't expensive, yet it was incredibly luxurious and comfortable. Breakfast was served until past 11 AM and offered a fantastic variety. It's also just over an hour's drive to Mount Bromo. "The hotel boasts truly stunning views, and I took so many incredible photos from the balcony of my room – it was breathtakingly beautiful. It’s also very close to Mount Bromo. The only downsides were that the room was extremely hot during the day and freezing at night. They only provide a small heater, which wasn't very effective. I confirmed with the hotel manager that they don't have air conditioning due to a local government policy for environmental protection. My main complaint after checking in was the cold showers, which were quite an experience! It seemed like the electric water heater wasn't very stable, and taking a cold shower, especially at night when the mountain top is chilly, was pretty awful. Otherwise, everything else was really good. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special, and there were a lot of flies, but I guess that's just how it is in this area, so you can't expect too much. Having seen some of the other hotels, I still think this 'influencer-friendly' hotel is quite good."

"It was located right beside the road. It was too noisy with the constant bike speeding up and down. And there's some animal running around in the false ceiling. We could not have a good rest before waking up early for mt bromo. However, the cafe here sit inside a forest was very peaceful and nice. The coffee is one of the best in this trip. "

"I could not find any other hotel who could offer a view point with just beside the Mount Bromo! The moment we reach the hotel and straightaway saw the mountain & surroundings, we were just stunned & felt amazing with the scenery of this hotel. The room is a humble small villa and it's quite clean & provide TV, wifi, water heater, cups & a table and chairs with a rubbish bin outside the room. They provide soap, small shampoo & toothbrush with paste. We could not stop taking pictures of Mount Bromo the moment we step out of the hotel. Price is surprisingly affordable. Thank you so much Cemara Indah hotel! We will surely come back again!!"

"This is the only villa hotel in the area with an elevator, and there's a swimming pool in front of the hotel. It's very Chinese: solid wood tea tables with tea sets for brewing, Chinese standard power outlets meaning no adapters are needed, and switches labeled in Chinese. The room is large, and the facilities are new and complete. It looks recently renovated but has no strange odors. I didn't see any insects or pests in the room or public areas (some previous reviews mentioned flies). The hotel parking lot is spacious, and there's a two-story building under renovation on the side wing of the main hotel building. I asked and was told it's an expansion of the main restaurant, and there are two small rooms next to it that will soon be completed laundry facilities. All glass doors and windows use double-glazed soundproof glass; with the doors and windows closed, you can barely hear any outside noise. The room service is warm and attentive. Personally, I can't find a single fault!"

"The moment we decided to visit Mount Bromo, we picked this hotel which looked really good online, and our stay was a pleasant surprise! We arrived quite late, and a staff member kindly helped us with our luggage. Since we had to leave for the volcano at 2 AM, the front desk proactively packed breakfast for us – so thoughtful and attentive. Most importantly, the hot water for showering was great. Thumbs up!"

"A wonderful place, we give it a 10 out of 10. Check-in was quick, the room was simple, but had everything – a kettle, a comfortable bed, a shower with hot water! And since it's cold in these parts, there are TWO blankets on the bed! It's a real lifesaver. And what a beautiful garden and views of the Bromo caldera! It's superb. Breakfast was also delicious, especially after the trek to the viewpoint and Bromo. By the way, we walked everywhere from 3:30 to 9:30; it's much more convenient than taking a jeep, which rushes you. We enjoyed the views everywhere without rushing and managed to do everything, even making it to breakfast, which was served before 10. We recommend everyone to walk a lot, because it's so enjoyable here. We'll definitely show it in a video one day on the New Horizons channel (Russia). Thank you so much for the wonderful accommodation, we wish you prosperity 🙏"

The rooms were very clean and tidy, and each room was in its own small building, which I thought was excellent. Check-out was at 12 noon, so after watching the sunrise over the volcano and returning home, I could have enjoyed a free breakfast and even take a nap. Overall, it was a good experience.

First of all, I give Ctrip a perfect score for their handling of the situation. 💯 We stayed at this hotel, supposedly the most expensive and luxurious, located at the foot of the volcano. The environment was indeed quite nice. However, driving distances between attractions in Indonesia are quite long, and the temperature difference at the foot of the volcano is quite large. The three-hour drive was exhausting in itself. After dinner, we returned freezing cold. We wanted to take a shower and get to bed. We had to get up at two o'clock to watch the sunrise. No hot water? Can you believe it? After talking to the front desk, we had to change rooms while dragging three 28-inch suitcases. After visiting the volcano, we returned dusty and shivering. No hot water again mid-shower? Can you believe it? We called someone to check it out. They made me wait for half an hour, and after that, it was barely warm enough for me to shower. This isn't the only hotel nearby. A high price doesn't necessarily mean a perfect experience. Ctrip was always trying to help me coordinate and calm me down. The Chinese people traveling with us booked the room using another app and had to take a cold shower.

Honestly, it took me a long time to book a hotel in Volcano Village. I read a lot of reviews, especially the negative ones, which all mentioned poor hygiene, bad facilities, and unsatisfactory service. However, the hotel we chose had none of these issues. I was so worried before checking in, but I breathed a sigh of relief after settling in. Finally, I found a satisfying hotel! The hotel grounds are very spacious, which is quite rare for a mountain area. The room was also very clean and tidy. The staff at the front desk spoke excellent English and always had bright, welcoming smiles.

This hotel has a large room and a relatively remote location. It is only a 10-minute walk from the small village under the Broom volcano, and the mountain road is difficult to walk.
