I’ll start off with the positive about this place, the location in the city of Budapest was great, right in the centre, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end When we entered our room we was hit with an unpleasant stench, not sure what exactly it was. The bed was almost on the ground it was so low and sitting on it you could feel how uncomfortable the mattress was, there wasn’t anything to it. It was so unbearably uncomfortable that we had to pay for somewhere to sleep. Out of all the plug sockets in our room and bathroom, all but one was virtually hanging off the wall, which made it very unsafe, so as a result we could only use one for the one night we was there, as we was scared we would electrocute ourselves, not what you expect, and not acceptable. The only plug socket that wasn’t hanging on my a thread was the one which we had to move the wooden wardrobe and bedside table forward, as this was obstructing the plug socket. The bathroom is very outdated, small and when you flush the toilet it sounds as if there is an earthquake! In the room there was only one towel, but as there was two of us I asked if we could have another one and was simply told “no we don’t have any more” which is terrible as we payed for 4 nights and only was facilitated with one small towel. Good job we only stayed one night! The shower was very small and compact and was peeling. I understand that it’s a cheap accommodation, but we have been to many cheap basic accommodations, but this one took basic to an extreme level, only thing that was actually given to us was soap, and even that was cheap and nasty and felt more like washing up liquid it was so horrible to human skin. I would highly discourage anyone from coming here, as it’s not fit for humans.
