Cairo international hostel Downtown

Extremely kind people. They were friendly at all times and helpful. The day we went to Giza, we left very early and they left us breakfast in the fridge ready for us to take at 6am, when breakfast normally starts at 8am. The day we left, they kept our luggage after checkout, and they let us use the living room area. There's a small kitchen available. Fast and reliable WIFI --I work remotely and had no problem at all compared to other hotels in Cairo where we had slow and spotty wifi. Old building (like most in Cairo downtown) but the premises are in good condition and it is very spacious, with high ceilings. Our room had a window right to the main avenue but was quiet and could barely hear the street noise. AC working perfectly in the room, good for hot Cairo weather. We had a little problem with the shower and they managed to fix it very quickly, and also in the meantime, they offered a second room for us to use the bathroom. Very nice people, really.

The place is very old, the walls are dirty. Moreover, the bedsheets were unclean. The bathroom (the private one) was unclean, and had water leaking that was noisy along the night of my stay. The only good thing was the staff, they were friendly and helpful.

Big rooms, good location in the heart of Cairo Downtown with lots of good restaurants and shopping locations around. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the bathroom is also quite big and clean. Bring earplugs with you because you will hear the noise of the streets day and night even if the windows are closed. There is just one annoying point: the hotel staff should stop smoking inside the hotel. Even though this is a common habit in Egypt, most of the tourists come from countries where smoking inside is forbidden and are not used anymore to breathe passive smoke.

Hôtel charmant dans le cœur des avenues commerçantes du Caire. Une décoration arabisante et multiculturelle, qui rappelle les hôtels de voyage, les malles et les salons orientaux. Des lits très confort, une douche qui fonctionne, le tout sur du parquet bois foncé et des grandes fenêtres vitrées. Je pense que les derniers avis négatifs ont été mis avant rénovation car l’accueil, l’accès et l’agencement sont au top. A réserver sans modération.
